Great location. Convenient for walking downtown. Close to restaurants and wine tasting. Plenty of room to spread out in the house. We were able to park 2 vehicles in the driveway. Nice kitchen well furnished for cooking.

The host was amazing from start to finish. The place was a home away from home. It was my daughter, me, and 3 lil pets. I’m relocating back east and our home is on the market - it’s been rough. Also it’s been over a decade since we had a lil weekend. This was the perfect getaway. The location can’t be beat! Parking right in the driveway - it’s private and just a beautiful little cottage. There is a cozy backyard for pets and easy clean up. The host was also kind and very accommodating and let us “overstay” our welcome. Thank you SO much Sarah we feel revived and ready to pack up our Cali home and brace for our new adventure. Thank you again

This home was perfect for our two dogs and us as a couple! The location is hard to beat as it’s away from the busy part of town however everything is walkable. There is more sleeping space and would be great for a family as well. It has all the bare minimum and basic needs that you could have. We would like to return with our pets again! The hosts are kind communicate quickly and check-in was very straightforward.

This home was very comfortable for our multi-generation family. The small yard is perfect and safe for a pet or small children. We were able to park off street, have space for our belongings, relax, visit, cook, dine, and do our laundry. Given the brisk evenings and heat-wave days, we appreciated the room heaters and coolers VERY much. Thank you very much and we look forward to visiting again soon!

Very nice to spread out with plenty of room. Kitchen had nice features. Main bathroom could use some repairs or replacements.The beds were very comfortable and the space heaters were very efficient.The house was close enough for us to walk around Solvang.

We loved our stay. We would have liked to see high bolts of the external doors especially the 3rd bedroom. The garden was lovely but sadly there were a lot of screws and some sharp pieces of metal around the grass area. We would definitely stay here again.

This property was in a perfect location and was great for the size of our party. Host was was easy to reach and it was clean and comfortable. I would suggest adding more hooks in the bathroom for towels and replacing the mini ironing board as the legs don’t stay up.

Charming Solvang Cottage — Perfect Location!A wonderful find in Solvang! The cottage is quaint and charmingly older with a clean minimalist aesthetic that fits right in with the Danish village vibe of the town. The house is clearly set up with families and kids in mind so as a couple we had way more space than we needed — but honestly we loved every bit of it. Sometimes it's nice to spread out!The fenced yard was perfect for our dogs — safe, secure and plenty of space to roam. Location is convenient — just an easy walk from the edge of Solvang. Just know the property sits at an intersection used as a cut-through parallel to Mission Drive. The hosts were great — easy to communicate with and no hassle from arrival to checkout.One important tip for future guests — pack your pantry staples before you arrive. The kitchen is equipped but there is no grocery store within walking distance so come prepared with your recipe basics or plan to drive for supplies. We did use delivery services, so that is a plus.A lovely retreat we would happily return to. Highly recommend for couples, families and pet owners alike!

When we got there we had to wait to get the unit cleaned. The house had very few dishes silverware pots & pans ! The back yard gate to the busy street had no lock on it my dog ran out almost got hit by a car! The bedding needs to be replaced, I think the price was way too much for the place in such a tattered condition! I liked the hostess Sarah & the housekeeper Maria very sweet! The backyard has cobwebs & again very tattered! But all & all it was okay! We will not stay there again

We were happy to host these guests and sorry about the disappointments. Yes, they had to wait for cleaning to wrap up but they did arrive 3 hours before check in. Our team rushed, missed the patio cobwebs. We have updated pots and pans and believe that our kitchen is well stocked for a vacation rental. Locks on gates are a safety hazard. But they secured. Renters are of course ultimately responsible for their pets’ safety.

This clean, cozy house is centrally located in the heart of Solvang and serves as a great jumping off point to explore the surrounding region. Restaurants, shops and the Santa Inés Mission are all within easy walking distance, and we only used our car for longer day trips. Nearby highlights we'd recommend include a boat ride on Lake Cachuma (approx. 20-minute drive away), a horse ride through a vineyard at Vino Vaqueros (approx. 30-minute drive) and feeding ostriches at Ostrichland (short drive down the highway). At the end of each day, we enjoyed relaxing at the house, which had everything we needed for our stay. Our dogs travel with us everywhere, so we truly appreciate that that the house is pet-friendly.
