Completely Renovated home in Mandalay Shores beach, Oxnard has 2 BED/1.5 BA + Office/Den, beautiful vaulted ceilings with gorgeous beams and large windows.NEW FLOORING, NEW KITCHEN, NEW BATHROOMS,NEW APPLIANCES, PRIVATE DEN/OFFICE sleeps 2. ..It comfortably sleeps 5; The Palms is located on a quiet street with private back patio with propane BBQ grill and plenty of seating. The home is fully equipped with all you need for cooking, entertaining, Wi-Fi, Cable TV, games, books, bikes for guest use, beach chairs and other beach equipment for your use in a quiet residential neighborhood. This Tri-level home is open, spacious with tons of light. With the 2 bedrooms +Den Office (with Futon) You can sleep comfortable 5 people + an infant. There is 1 full bath on the 3rd level and a powder room (1/2 bath) on the first level near the laundry. Fully stocked Kitchen. Linens provided. Laundry available for guest use in the home. 2 bikes available and some beach equipment available (chairs, umbrella, beach towels, sand toys). In the office/ Den is a futon and a cot and in the front bedroom is a twin sized rollaway bed.
5 min walk to the beautiful Mandalay Shores Beach. Guests enjoy FULL access to this LOVELY home....enjoy the use of our 2 bikes, sand toys, beach towels, linens, Wi-Fi, HDTV w/CABLE and DVR, Laundry and fully equipped Kitchen... Large back yard and patio for dining with gas grill.

Quiet, family friendly neighborhood. Neighbors are friendly and helpful, but they also will respect your privacy and expect others to do the same.
Best to have a car....
The home has a long covered carport and there is a garage in the back, but only for parking motorcycles and storage of things like bike and recreational equipment.There is plenty of street parking.

Well this place is not ultra modern it is very clean and extremely comfortable. Sunset from the back window nice, location great, no hot tub though. I will stay again next time in Oxnard!

We're originally from the Ventura County area and our family (parents, 4 adult kids, & a ten year old) needed a home base, while we arranged a family funeral in Oxnard. Despite the crazy CA winter weather, everything was safe and warm in the house. We really appreciated the stay!

The house was as advertised. There are a lot of stairs… We could tell from the pics that’s it’s kind of a split level style. It’s very dated and the shower head in the bathroom needs replacing. But it was very clean and well stocked in the kitchen and lots of towels in bathroom. The master bed was very comfy but it’s up high on a platform. There are step stools to get in and out and it can be a little tricky/narrow for the person near the windows. The walk to the beach is quick and the beach itself is quite wide and nice. We had to pull the couch out from the wall a bit because there is a weird ledge there and 3 or 4 people thumped their heads on it when going to sit on the couch. But overall it is a great value and the location was perfect for us. We would stay again!

Nice place to stay

It has 2 bedrooms. One room has a full sized bed with a bunk bed on top of it so you cannot sit up in this bed. It is very comfortable. The other bed is also comfortable but you have to climb a step stool to get in it. Everything worked fine and fully supplied with everything you could need. Everything is gently used but I did not care since it was just a place to sleep and watch TV at night. It was night to have a washing machine and dryer as well. If we ever get near there again, I definitely would rent it again. The 2 TVs in the bedrooms are very old but the newer one in the living room was a HDTV so we were fine. Thank you.

Comfy home; great location

Nice residential neighborhood just a short walk to the beach. Two comfy beds and an uncomfortable futon, plus a rollaway and top bunk we couldn't use due to weight restrictions. That didn't matter because we had an amazing vacation! Cooked breakfast and dinner and enjoyed local lunch spots while touring the area and relaxing together. Quality family time away - priceless!

Perfect location for us. We enjoyed shopping both in Oxnard and Ventura, and eating at Toppers Pizza and Sea Fresh in Oxnard and Rice by Mama Thai in downtown Ventura. My husband enjoyed playing tennis with a mixed group of 10 at the Oxnard Tennis Center, and finally we enjoyed a surfing lesson and excursions to the beach! We recommend this property.

Close to Beach

Plenty of room for the five of us. Nice to have room to spread out instead of being stuck in a hotel room. We had a cookout, walked to the beach numerous times, and it was centrally located for places we wanted to visit. Felt like home!

Location was good and close to Ventura Harbor, which is where we needed to go to get on our Channel Islands boat. The place was also very close to the beach, however, we did not have enough time to explore walking to the beach. The house was comfortable, had several books, games and TV options for the kids to entertain themselves. Host was responsive to questions we had.

We LOVE the cool ocean breezes of Mandalay Shores in Oxnard. I grew up in Oxnard and Love the area's natural beauty, the easy going nature of the residents here walking their dogs. We love to go running on the uncrowded beaches, while spotting dolphins and whales from the shore. Sports activities, travel, family, dance and our many pets keep us happily busy the rest of the time.

Why they chose this property

We have always loved the uniqueness of this home, with its huge windows, tons of light, and open floor plan. There are always plenty of things to do in the area if you choose, or you can do nothing at all and still enjoy yourself. The weather is never too hot or too cold. Oxnard is an ideal location due to its close proximity to Los Angeles' attractions to the south and Santa Barbara's offerings to the north. There is something here for everyone!

What makes this property unique

The home has many interesting features. Originally, the bedrooms were loft-style, completely open to the rest of the home, including an elevated loft high above the bedrooms. Since then, we have enclosed the bedrooms for privacy, but have kept some features, such as the elevated loft, the very high built-in bed, and the rustic wood features throughout the home. The Channel Islands offers uncrowded beaches galore! Visitors can dine at local fresh fish markets, explore antique stores, and shop at local farmers' markets. Santa Barbara is a scenic 25-mile drive north and Los Angeles is a 1-hour drive south.
