About the host
Your host
We love the Bay Area, and we hope you enjoy your stay here as well. We really appreciate all the people we get to meet through our apartment -- from all over the world -- and we take joy from helping them enjoy their stay in the Bay!
Why they chose this property
South Berkeley is the best. It's a long walk or short bike ride to UC Berkeley's campus. On the other hand, downtown Oakland is a 10 minute drive. And with the Ashby BART a few blocks away, getting to San Francisco couldn't be easier (the drive is also just ~25-30 mins into the SF).
The neighborhood is relatively quiet and very walkable, but there is plenty happening to keep you busy and entertained... it's a great mix! Whole Foods and Berkeley Bowl (an awesome grocery store) are both easily walkable.
I really can't say enough about the neighborhood.

What makes this property unique
This top floor apartment is so sunny. There are bay windows in the living room and kitchen that give it so much light, and so much greenery. There are also large windows in the bedroom to keep it uplifting and bright (with blackout curtains, of course, when you need them!)
