If you are thinking about it, just do it! We did and it was so worth it. The host are amazing! The place was super clean and spacious. The neighbors are super sweet too. We were able to catch fish right off the dock and they were hungry. If you have a little who likes to run this may not be the best choice but my 9 year old loved this stay.

The houseboat was spotless,comfortable, and exactly as described in the listing. The location was fantastic— peaceful and close to local attractions.The host was incredibly responsive, friendly, and made the check-in and checkout process seamless. After checking out, my wife’s I-watch was left behind, she communicated quickly and it was mailed it to us. A big thanks to Jeff&Resa!

We had a wonderful experience staying on Big Orange Jr. for the Auburn–Tennessee game weekend! Resa and Jeff were incredibly easy to communicate with, welcoming, and helpful from start to finish.The boat itself is beautiful, exceptionally clean, very well appointed, and much larger than it appears in the photos. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax, yet it still felt cozy and comfortable. You can tell that a great deal of thought has gone into making the boat feel like a home rather than simply a rental.The upper deck was hands-down our favorite spot. We gathered there for coffee in the mornings, cocktails and conversation later in the day, and even sat together watching the rain roll in. Because Big Orange Jr. is docked in a covered marina, we stayed completely dry and were still able to enjoy being outside — such a wonderful bonus that we didn’t fully appreciate until we were there!Staying on the houseboat made an already fun football weekend feel like an experience in itself. Instead of simply having a place to sleep after the game, Big Orange Jr. became part of the weekend. There is something special about waking up on the water, having coffee together on the deck, and coming back at the end of the day to a beautiful, comfortable boat.If you’re coming to Knoxville for a Tennessee game, a family weekend, or just want to do something a little different, I can’t recommend Big Orange Jr. enough. Five Stars!!!!

Great Stay for a Wedding

My friends and I stayed at the houseboat for a wedding in Knoxville. We had a great experience at the houseboat and it was in a great location to walk into town. Overall, we had a fantastic time.

Graduation Weekend 2025

Loved this houseboat experience. Nicely appointed and the location is ideal to access the university and downtown Knoxville. Wished we knew about these boats when we were visiting in prior years!

Awesome Place

We had 5 Guys over 50 in Town playing in a 50 and over softball tournament. The Boat was close to the park we had an awesome time. One guy even sleep on the top where there is a huge sitting area. We will be back to stay here when we come back.Thanks

Unforgettable Stay on the Water – Spacious, Scenic, and Perfectly Located!

Booked this houseboat for my dad and it exceeded all expectations! The 360 views were absolutely stunning, making it a unique and peaceful place to unwind. Despite being a boat, it never felt cramped—plenty of room and all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The location was central and convenient, with everything just a short distance away. Communication with the host, Keener, was smooth and responsive, making the entire experience easy from start to finish. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for something special and memorable!

Elevated Experience in Knoxville - Skip the Hotel

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the house boat on the Tennessee River. We lucked out and enjoyed unseasonably warm February temps. The houseboat was charmingly decorated and very clean. Worth mentioning that the walk from the Marina parking spaces to the houseboat is an approximate 5 minutes. My husband and I didn't mind this at all, as we enjoy walking. The host provides a rolling wagon to shuttle your items to and from. Be mindful of your hot water usage if you are having back to back showers as the hot water runs out quickly, but also seems to replenish quickly. We also really enjoyed the city! So clean! The host was quick to respond to our inquiries. Plenty of towels included. Quiet, peaceful night sleep in February. Highly recommend staying on this house boat for a truly unique experience.
