MINUTES from MANASOTA KEY beaches! Quaint & Charming! Bird Watching!Pet Friendly

Located just 5 minutes from Englewood Beach/Manasota Key

Due to the Hurricane in 2022, some Trees in the front yard have been removed, as well as the loss of some landscaping in the backyard. The lattice has also been removed under the sitting area/pergola. New exterior paint, and new outside chairs. Otherwise, photos show accurate descriptions of the property.

During High Season, I only rent the months of January, February and March consecutively. There is a minimum of the total number of nights during these three months. If your dates are not going through, or you are incurring an issue with the automatic quotes indicating your dates are not available, please feel free to contact me as I am aware at times the system is not always accurate.

This cute, newly tiled home has a lot to offer!! Updated appliances in Kitchen, and an updated bathroom. Home has a master bedroom and a second room equipped with a sleeper sofa and TV entertainment area. This room can also be utilized as an extra bedroom with its own private bathroom. Entrance to home is in this room. Queen size bed in master bdrm, and a full size sofa bed with memory foam topper in the front room. There is also an inflatable mattress for temporary guests. The house is on a pond with a fenced-in back yard. Lots of different birds for your Bird Watching enjoyment. Outdoor living/dining area under metal covered pergola, and fire pit. Lanai in front, perfect for morning coffee. Amenities include washer/dryer, Xfinity FREE Internet/Wifi - streaming capabilities, full size eat -in kitchen and much more.... Nicely furnished and tastefully decorated. Boat/trailer storage in fenced back yard.


Banana, Fig trees & Mangos in the backyard! Be sure to pick some off to enjoy! (Seasonal)


5 minutes to boat ramp. One mile to Hospital and shopping. Spring training baseball 15 minutes, Mall 20 minutes. Small town feel, but with everything you need or want.


Two Beach Cruisers for your use! Enjoy a quick bike ride to the Beach from the house but don't forget a bucket to grab some sharks teeth, they are plentiful!!! Or take out the 1 person kayak for some water fun! After seeing the beautiful sunsets on the beach, come back to a relaxing evening by the firepit & lit tiki torches! --- I also have coolers, a beach cart, beach chairs, beach umbrellas and beach tent for your use as well.


There are some GREAT restaurants on the Beach. The White Elephant, Lighthouse Grille at Stump Pass and The Sand Bar, formerly known as Flounders, are some of my favorites.

We had a nice relaxing time. Quiet neighborhood, close enough to everything you need, but far enough for quiet. Clean comfortable house, with a great yard and sitting areas. It was nice our small dogs could be with us. A cute, fully furnished and equipped home. Will stay again.

Wonderful experience. Doane responded to any questions very quickly and efficiently. At check-in there were many items supplied that normally had to make a Walmart run but not here. Backyard was nice with many varieties of birds coming to feeders as well as squirrels and rabbits. Enjoyed and hope to return.

Relaxing and all the comforts of home.

The house is very comfortable and has a nice kitchen with everything you need for cooking your meals. There are so many birds in the backyard it’s like a sanctuary, and the view of the pond is so beautiful . I enjoyed my weekend stay and my dogs were happy to explore the yard, which has a good high fence. The owner is easy to teach, and answered all my questions. There are beaches and restaurants close by and it’s a convenient location. A+

Perfect for our needs.

The house was as described, pet friendly with a very comfortable fenced backyard. We spent most mornings on the covered patio watching the wildlife come and go around the lake and some taking a rest in the large tree by the yard. We saw Ibis, Great Blue Herons, Little Blue Herons, Whistler Ducks, Night Heron, Roseate Spoonbill, Snowy Egrets, Great Egret and a Wood Stork. The house was in a very quiet neighborhood, communication with the owner was clear and easy making the stay stress free. We would 100% recomment this property.

Great Cottage

Englewood FL is a fabulous small beach town. The cottage was perfect for me and my 3 dogs. Yard was fenced but my smallest (a toy Aussiedoodle) did manage to find a opening she could fit thru. Was able to find some things to block off that opening. The unit was clean and had everything we needed. Though we mainly just slept there majority of the time we at a friends house with the dogs. After check out, I was notified by the owner that there was damage done some items by my dogs. Things can happen. I have corresponded with the owner, and have requested to see the photos of the damage that were sent to him by his maid service but have yet to receive them. I look forward to finishing this review once we get this matter resolved. A word of advice take pictures upon arrival and when you leave. Yes I would stay there again and highly reccomend this unit.

This was a great little place to stay in Englewood.. Hubs me and our pup stayed for 9 days over xmas. The house was perfect..Very clean and everything you would possible need was in this house. I have never seen a vrbo so very well stocked..It was awesome! Close to beaches and restaurants but away from the hustle bustle!!

Had a great relaxing time! Highly Recommended!!!

This was the cleanest most well stocked vacation home I've rented in this area thus far. To start with the owner sent detailed check in, check out instructions prior to my trip even beginning, wonderful! Check in went smoothly, the place was perfect and extremely clean! The owner even had the fridge stocked with water, coffee creamer, sugar etc... There was plenty of ice... everything I thought I'd have to run to the store and get was already there. The furniture was nice, the home entertainment system was very nice with a sound bar etc... The owner was very accommodating in every way! If I could give this place 10 stars I would! I definitely plan on staying here again in the future! My 2 small pups loved the fenced in backyard, there was a fire pit we didn't get around to using this time, but definitely will next time. Very well maintained property, my compliments to the owner! Will recommend this place to friends and family also. Thank you for a great weekend getaway.

Quiet, convenient and clean get away spot!

We had a great visit at Doane’s little place. It was super clean, very quiet and so close to everything one would need from groceries to Walmart to beaches and parks! We definitely will be back when life affords is another little break! Ps, Doane is very attentive and responsive should you have any questions/needs. Love love love this place!

True Serenity

My stay was a quick two day stay until my permanent place was ready for move in. But, oh what a wonderful place. The back yard provides true serenity with that morning cup of coffee. If you're staying for a vacation, the back yard is equipped with everything you need for cooking out or just relaxing. Super close to all the beaches. Safe neighborhood for walking your furry family members or bike riding. Highly recomend this home.

Awesome mini vacation

Nice quiet getaway

Quiet neighborhood, great backyard. Check-in was relatively easy and the host responded to our questions. The only issue was the lack of central air conditioning. It took awhile for the house to cool down once we checked in.

Great location

The house was in a great location. The backyard with the wildlife was fantastic! My only recommendations would be that the house (back bathroom/laundry) could be a little cleaner -baseboards had layer of dust and AC unit in the bedroom we tried to clean ourselves. The mattress doesn't offer much support for your back. It's essentially foam on another layer of foam. I slept on the couch on the final evening and got more support for my back that way. Thank you for helping in making some good memories on a short vacation.

Excellent Location

The house is super clean, plenty of space, comfortable bedding and everything we thought we might want or need was available at the house. It is centrally located close to everything you need. It is about 3 miles from the amazing Stump Pass Beach and the Main beach. We recommend this property and we are already planning our next trip. The host was excellent and made check in and check out simple! We felt safe and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and can't wait to return.

Excellent location close to beach and restaurants

Excellent Choice!

My wife and 3 young children stayed for 10 days at this wonderful home. Totally updated, very clean and has every kitchen and outdoor appliance you need. Property owner was excellent with communication/questions. Both neighbors are wonderful people too! 0 complaints and we absolutely will be staying here again.

Retreat Audubon-Style

This bright, cozy home backs up to a bit of water that invites all sorts of water birds, including the elusive wood stork. We spent hours in the private, quiet backyard enjoying feathered friends. - The kitchen and refrigerator were fully stocked with condiments. Overall, this beach themed cottage felt like home. Friendly communications from the owner also made the stay feel personal. - The neighborhood is remarkably quiet while being within walking distance to a major intersection with familiar chain stores, e.g. Publix Grocery store. The compact shopping area abounded with good restaurants, including several with outdoor seating on the water. - We would definitely return.

Relaxing, beautiful area a perfect get-away

My husband and our two dogs thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We came to enjoy the warm climate and enjoyed the outdoor settings at this home. Morning coffee on the front porch, afternoons when we weren’t at the beach we enjoyed sitting on the back patio or watching the birds on the lake from the swing. We also were thankful for the fire pit in the back yard where we sat during the cool evenings and visited with family members who were staying nearby. This place was perfect and the host was very accommodating. We definitely hope to return!

Fantastic home!

The interior was clean beyond my expectations! Excellent bed and the cooling units functioned very well. We loved the area, as it was close to downtown Englewood. We would stay again!
