About this property
Top of the Line Asheville Mountain Cabin
I’m thankful my mountain cabin survived Hurricane Helene without any problems. Asheville and WNC is rebounding. Please consider visiting us soon!
For those who want to be close enough to Asheville that you can easily drop in, but also prefer peace and privacy in your own luxurious perch on top of the world, this is your spot!!
This stunningly beautiful, modern and immaculately clean cedar log home has year-round postcard-like views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. And, it has the best of both worlds - total privacy, yet only 15 minutes to the center of Asheville - so close you can catch an Uber/Lyft.
There's a sense of peace and calm you'll immediately feel when you enter the bright, open floor plan, gaze up at the 18' ceilings, look out over endless views, and settle into the cabin's peaceful setting, located on 18 private acres.
Enjoy some time on the deck, taking in views of rolling farmland, endless mountain ridges, and an ever-changing sky. Watch as hawks and eagles soar gracefully upward on thermal air currents. See how magically the sky changes at sunrise and sunset. Look up into the night sky to see more stars than you've seen in years. Soak in the indulgently luxurious hot tub on top of the world. Walk the grounds, its private road and trails, and discover the amazing diversity of native plants and flowers. And take time to listen to the bubbling spring-fed stream that flows behind the cabin.

About the host
Hosted by J Kelly Scherer

My name is Kelly and I live in Charlotte, NC. I'm a hard-working, peace-loving individual who enjoys the serenity of the mountains. I am a private owner and manage the property myself, with personal care and interest. I come from a large family and always appreciate a sense of family among friends. I'm sure that you, like everyone who visits, will absolutely love and cherish the time you spend at my mountain cabin!
Why they chose this property
My mountain cabin is a rare find and one that I plan to keep for many years of enjoyment. The cabin is stunningly beautiful, immaculately clean, and truly Top of the Line. It is located just outside of Asheville, NC, one of America's coolest towns. While just 10 miles from downtown, it sits on a mountainside that looks out across endless ridges of mountains and valleys dotted with farmland and estates. It has the best of all worlds - private in its location, and close to everything that Asheville has to offer!
What makes this property unique
The mountain cabin is at the end of a private road, perched high on a mountainside, with unobstructed year-round views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Its open floor plan and peaceful setting make it perfect for relaxing and enjoying the beauty of the Blue Ridge. The house is immaculately clean and tidy.
The cabin is perfectly situated for exploring Asheville and WNC!
The cabin is only 11 miles from Pack Square in the very center of Asheville. The picturesque drive into town takes 15 minutes on main roads.
The cabin sits in the middle of hundreds of world class hiking and biking trails. All are an easy 30 to 60 minutes' drive away, door to trailhead. The Appalachian Trail at Hot Springs is 35 minutes. Great Smoky Mountains National Park; Shining Rock Wilderness, Mills River, Linville Gorge, Mt. Mitchell, Bent Creek, Cold Mountain, etc. are all 40 minutes. The Blue Ridge Parkway is 25 minutes and there are multiple trails off it.
River rafting/tubing/ kayaking, zip lining, rock climbing, fishing and golfing are 30 minutes or less. Downhill skiing, snowboarding and tubing is 35 miles from the cabin.
The Biltmore Estate is only 25 minutes away. Waynesville is 25 minutes. And, Cherokee is 45 minutes.
Being just outside of Asheville allows you to feel away from it all but also be right in the middle of everything.
