The property was as advertised and we found the cabin and property well maintained. The area’s scenery was beautiful. It was a little bit of a drive to get anywhere but the seclusion was part of our reason for staying. The cabin was well stocked with essentials and there was plenty of room for a large family. We would definitely stay again. Thanks for the hospitality!
Thank you for a peaceful, relaxing stay! Close enough to the locations we wanted to visit but off the beaten path and the busyness. We will recommend to others!
Will definitely stay again, nice location close to a bunch of trails.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
Disliked: Location, listing accuracy
Nice home and adequate space for our party of 9. Kitchen utensils could be added to. 10 plates and 1 plastic spatula (especially when grilling) was not adequate. One bedroom has the constant sound of water running or dripping that shared the laundry room/utility wall making for difficult sleep. Biggest disappointment was location. Listing stated 22 miles from Hill City but did not mention that it is at least a 40 minute drive and about the same in the opposite direction to Deadwood so every day we had that travel both morning and night. Would be ideal for trail riders but not for family wanting to explore Black Hills. Utility room was not locked as I believe it was intended to be considering the contents. Great property just did not meet our needs

I am sorry the location did not suite your needs. The distance is 22 miles to Hill City, but mountain driving with the beautiful winding roads does take a bit longer that most are use to. We have hosted many families of the years that have loved the location. I will look into the dripping water sound immediately as well as order some more utensils. I did not realize we were low. The rental season can sometimes by hard on utensils and I am not always made aware of utensils being broken or missing, so thank you for letting me know. Thanks, Wes
This cabin was everything we were looking for. Peaceful property, great rural location, enough space for all family members, comfy beds- couldn’t ask for anything else. Thanks for helping us make memories!

So happy you guys enjoyed your stay. We appreciate it. Thanks, Wes.
My wife and I were born and raised in SD. We have 3 children. We have loved visiting the Black Hills for many years with our family. We love outdoor activities and nature. We currently live in southeast SD, but take every chance to visit the Black Hills. It has been our dream to have a Black Hills cabin and are happy to share our piece of heaven with you.
Why they chose this property
The Rochford Area is truly beautiful and peaceful. We love to bike, snowmobile, hike, hunt, and ride ATV's and this location offers us all of these activities and more.
What makes this property unique
We fell in love with our cabin when we first saw it. We are able to listen to Rapid Creek run through our front yard and view the surrounding mountains of the Black Hills from our deck. The kids love sledding and playing on the 3 acres and the surrounding National Forest. There are several ATV trails close to the property. There is a nearby campground just a few miles down the road and there is direct access to the Black Hills snowmobile trail system there. Skiing is just 25 minutes up the road.
