About this property
Charming 2-bedroom Cabin with WiFi, AC in amazing Bar Harbor
Experience the peace and quiet of a private house less than two miles from Acadia National Park! Daylily Lane is the perfect location so close to Acadia but away from the crowds of downtown Bar Harbor. During the summer and early fall, we prefer Sunday to Sunday rentals but allow shorter stays in the late fall and spring. We also are open to longer stays such as multiple weeks, month-long or more. Please message us if you’re interested in a longer stay.
The cabin is nestled in leafy green foliage with a welcoming front porch up five steps. Inside you'll walk into an open living room, dining and kitchen area on the first level, with two bedrooms with queen beds and one bathroom down the hall. Linens and towels are provided. The second level is a large, airy loft with a second living room for relaxing and watching TV.
The cabin has a full kitchen equipped with refrigerator, dishwasher, range/oven, microwave, coffee maker, pots and pans, dishes, silverware, etc. The kitchen, dining area and adjoining living room have a vaulted ceiling and a stairway to the loft den. We provide linens for the two queen beds and a set of towels (bath, hand, and washcloth) for each guest. With windows and two sky lights, and beautiful cedar on the walls and ceiling, the cabin is a clean, comfortable and calming space inside. We have a newly installed heat pump/AC system that will keep the cabin delightfully cool on the warmest summer days or cozy warm on the chilly ones.
The cabin is situated on a beautiful wooded lot located at the end of a short road with only Daylily Cabin and one other private house on the road. The hosts live just off MDI and will be available to assist guests with information, resources and helpful tips and will be on call if there are any concerns regarding the house or property.
There are large grocery stores (Hannaford, Shaws, Walmart) in Ellsworth on the way to Mount Desert Island, as well as smaller ones (Hannaford, A&B Naturals) in the village of Bar Harbor. A laundromat is located in downtown Bar Harbor. There are local businesses that rent bikes, kayaks and stand-up paddle boards.
