About this property

Pirate's Den on the Wharf

Escape to a newly renovated cottage full of unique seaside charm, nestled on a working waterfront in the once active, Sprucehead Quarry. This cottage used to house the miners as they came off the boats to work the quarry. This 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom retreat offers a blend of modern comfort and nautical character. Featuring stainless steel appliances, original wood paneling, and warm wood flooring throughout, the cottage invites you to unwind in style. With a king bed and full bed upstairs, plus a cozy pull-out couch in the sunroom, it comfortably accommodates guests. The full bathroom on the second floor has an oversized walk-in shower. The sunroom, with its gas-burning woodstove, is an ideal spot to relax and soak in the tranquil ambiance of the water and nature.

Cozy cottage

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: One of the cleanest cottages I have ever stayed in. Well stocked kitchen and bathrooms so I didn’t have to think of the basics. Comfy beds with nice linens. And the bedrooms were spacious and light. Enough room for two couples or a family with two kids. Located within walking distance of McCloons which has the best lobster and crabmeat rolls in Maine. Great area to walk, bike, canoe or watch a working lobster coops at work.
