Escape to the great outdoors at this peaceful woodland retreat, perfectly located near scenic ORV trails and beautiful Houghton Lake- your ideal home base for adventure and relaxation. Nestled among towering trees and surrounded by nature, this cozy cabin offers a private and comfortable getaway for families, couples, or friends.

The Space:
This chaming cabin sleeps 8 in the home and features all of the moden amenities you need. Inside, enjoy a warm welcoming living area, fully equipped kitchen, and comfortable bedrooms perfect for resting after a day or trail riding or lakeside activities. Step outside to enjoy your morning coffee on the patio, roast marshmellows around the firepit or explore the woods right outside the back door. Bedroom 1 has a queen bed, Bedroom 2 has a queen bed, Bedroom 3 has a full size bed and a twin daybed with pop-up trundle, which pushed together will make a king. There is an RV hookup (electric only) for an additional 4 guests if needed. There is no central AC, but there are two portable units and fans in each bedroom.

Location Highlights:
Direct access to nearly ORV trails (ride to trail 6 right from the house)
Houghton Lake is less than half a mile - bring your boat, jetskis, fishing poles and kayaks! There's plenty of room in the driveway for your trailer. There is an RV hookup as well! ($35 extra per night)

This property puts the outdoors at your door step. Enjoy watching your children chase squirrels or spot the deer that cut through the yard. Surrounded by towering trees and the sounds of nature, you'll enjoy privacy, fresh air and countless opportunities to explore.

We LOVE dogs, but only allow a max of 2. There is a $150 fee and pets must be disclosed at the time of booking,

Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Please strip any used beds but leave the linens on the beds. This way our cleaner knows what was used and can check for anything that may need to be pretreated before washing.
Please lock all doors, make sure all windows are closed and leave all fans and ac units on and take any trash to the bin outside. Used towels should be left in the bathtub.
Please message the host when you leave. If you depart early, our cleaners can get a headstart to prepare for our next guest.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Awesome newly redone property. Easily parked our boat in the drive, close to both Higgins and Houghton Lake. We are avid road cyclists and the location allowed us to take off each morning for 25-40 mile rides on beautiful paved roads. Highly recommend this property. Will definitely reserve property again if we are looking for a rental in this area.

Just got home from our stay at naughty in the woods wow an amazing spot if you’re into using side-by-side or riding the trails at Houghton Lake. Great location, conveniently located by plenty of bars and restaurants auto parts stores and a Walmart. Only 1.2 miles from the Denton Creek trailhead which is a blast. It offers great trails in great scenery. When we got done, we lit a fire outback, and sat and laughed about all the time we had on the trails. We will definitely be back a great spot!
