About this property

Elevator! Dog friendly! 2nd house frm ocean. Avail 6/5-12, 8/21-28. +spring/fall

Our cottage is the 2nd house back from the beach and sits on a private driveway shared with our other 2 cottages. Have trouble with steps? We have an elevator that will whisk you from the cement parking pad under the house to the main floor. Or perhaps lugging heavy suitcases up the steps is not something you are fond of. Place them in the elevator and up you go. Our cottage has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, living and dining room, full kitchen, washer/dryer, wifi, a/c and heat, and a covered porch, all on the same floor! There is an additional powder room downstairs and an enclosed outside shower. Up to 2 of your well behaved dogs are always welcome with an additional pet fee. Access to the beach is down the driveway and out to the street, where you can cross over the dune. This means beach goers will not be walking through the property. Please note that we do not rent to groups of singles (with some exceptions for those age 50+), nor to students or recent graduates. The minimum age to rent this property is 40, but please inquire if you are a younger family. We have zero tolerance for partiers. We are LGBTQ friendly. Please note that we rent Friday to Friday in the summer, with a 3 night minimum the rest of the year. Sheets and towels are not provided, but we can recommend a linen service, if you would like.

Do you have a dog? Dewey Beach is dog friendly! Your dog is allowed on the beach all day from the Sunday following Labor Day Weekend through Friday of Memorial Day Weekend. In the summer, dogs are allowed on the beach before 9:30 am and after 5:30 pm. Many restaurants are happy to accommodate your pup if you dine outside. We accept up to 2 well-behaved dogs with an additional pet fee.

This is the perfect house for our group of seniors. Everything on one floor after using elevator to transfer our luggage and food. Very clean with a great layout. We used the sunroom alot. View of ocean from there and living room. We loved this home so much we already booked it for 2026.

The Blue Cottage is the best

Perfect vacation house for family

House had everything we needed for our family vacation(3 generations) and the location was perfect.. walk out to the beach or walk to the bay for sunset in just minutes. The elevator was a wonderful asset for us seniors…one of whom was in a wheelchair!

Another great stay at the beach

First time we stayed at the 'middle house' in the three house set owned by the great contact folks -- a bit more room, great ceiling fans everywhere, new Roku setup so we could watch our own streaming services any time, and as always owners really responsive. Hope we can go back next year if spaces are available!

Perfect spot, beautiful house.

We stayed for a week with our family and two dogs. Everything was amazing. It was clean, comfortable and close to so many places to eat. Not to mention the ocean being less than half a block away. The owner was helpful and always easy to get in contact with. We will be back for sure.

Fanstastic spot for a Dewey Vacation

Enjoyed staying at this house so much! We loved the location, close to Nalu and bay restaurants. It's about a mile from the noisier parts of Dewey, but we love the walk or bike ride. The space under the house was great for storing our bikes and beach gear, and also for a workout! The house is spacious and well-supplied. The windows work well, and the A/c was quiet and also worked well. Ceiling fans in all the rooms. The screened in porch was a hit with all of us, especially my older parents. So glad they allow dogs because that is a must for us when visiting Dewey!

Terrific beach stay for wheelchair user

The house is incredibly cheery, well-maintained, spacious, and wonderfully close to the beach! As a full-time wheelchair user, the house work well for my access needs. If you don't require or expect full ADA accessibility, this place is great. Make sure that you carefully compare your wheelchair measurements to that of the elevator (it's wide enough, but quite shallow in depth). Overall, I couldn't have been happier with the rental & with my dealings with the owners. I would rent it again in a minute!
