Was a perfect place to stay! We were so happy to find a place with a washer and dryer so we could enjoy our long trip without a laundry mat. It was right down town of Southwest Harbor which made it super convenient for coming and going while visiting Acadia.
The host (Ed) was very friendly and helpful. The apartment had everything a couple could need, and the location was great, close to Acadia National Park but far enough to stay out of the tourist crush.
I was so glad to stay here! The location is a bit away from the busy tourist spots, but I actually loved that it was quiet and not crowded. The interior was clean, bright, and fresh with no unpleasant odors. The kitchen was also well-equipped with everything I needed.
Great location walk to restaurants and shops. Apartment was clean and very nice.

The place is perfect, and it is on the quiet side of MDI. It has everything we need. We got up at 5 a.m. and saw the twilight before the sunrise and the sunrise at Seawall, which is only less than 10 minutes from the place.
Comfortable and clean apartment. Owner was on site when we arrived and provided suggestions for dining and activities. There are a few restaurants within walking distance and access to Acadia National Park is excellent. We stopped in Bar Harbor one day. What a zoo! Much prefer the quietness of Southwest Harbor.
So clean, adorable, and well located. (Just not walkable, but not a big deal.) Perfect size for 1-2, communication with host was great and accommodating. Would absolutely stay here again. Great experience!
Very clean and pleasant with beautiful pictures and arrangements with care and thought. Very near to the main village center with some good options for meals or coffee/ice cream. Convenient for activities in SouthWest Harbor or for a short drive to Bar Harbor. Hosts were very polite and responsive for any questions and made our stay pleasant & hassle free.
Overall clean, comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed. Appreciated all of the info that was available both in advance and at the unit. Tried out some of the local coffee shops which did not disappoint. Arrived late & tired and getting into our unit was seamless, thankfully! Very good holiday, thanks Ed.
The place was perfect and had more than we needed! Fully supplied and appreciated the washer and dryer. Very clean and comfortable! Ed was a great communicator! He offered a 4 page info sheet for the area with recommendations! He was spot on! Local food was excellent. Really liked being on the quiet side of the park. So much more relaxed and easy to get around! Thanks again!
The apartment was clean, cozy, and had everything (and more) than we needed for our 5 night stay. We didn't do any cooking but the kitchen was stocked with the essentials. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was stocked with plenty of soft towels, and good quality toilet paper and tissues like you would have in your own home. There is quite bit of road noise in the mornings so bring earplugs for sleeping - that is the only negative for the place. The location worked out great for us. It is a quick drive to all the hiking and sites we explored. We liked being on the quite side of MDI and walking distance to some restaurants. The host, Ed, is helpful and answered any questions we had. It was a pleasant stay!
We had an amazing stay! Check-in was a breeze, and Ed was great with communication. Friendly, responsive, and helpful. The place was spotless and cozy, with plenty of fresh linens and towels provided. Parking in the back. The bed was so comfortable, I honestly didn’t want to leave! The location was perfect. Walking distance to shops, restaurants, and coffee. It felt like a true home away from home. Thank you, Ed, for such a welcoming experience. We’ll definitely be back!
Our timing ended up changing, and the host was very accommodating about our check in time. Once we arrived, we were very glad about our choice. This property was fantastic, seemingly newly renovated, in a great location with great parking. Very walkable and a comfortable area with great views. The property itself was very clean and well maintained with a well set up base for any possible needs. The space and materials provided were great for home cooked meals while away. We were very glad to arrive after a day of hiking and feel like we were home. The owner himself was fantastic. They provided a wonderful guide, including plentiful information about the local community and options for food and exploration. The guide also made the entry and exit process very easy. Definitely recommend this property and the owner to anyone interested in visiting Acadia. Thank you Ed!
One bedroom apartment with a full kitchen. Everything appeared to be new, clean and in good condition. Plenty of extra blankets and pillows, and the kitchen is well equipped. A Keurig and K-cups are provided.Good location on the "quiet side" of the island. There are restaurants and shops within walking distance, and some nice hikes within 5-10 minutes driving. The bedroom is on the front side of the building, so there is some traffic noise. I'm a light sleeper and it wasn't a problem for me.We were happy staying here.
We had a wonderful stay in the Manset Room at Harbor Heights in Southwest Harbor. The apartment is clean, comfortable, and features a well-equipped kitchen, which we used for breakfast and lunch. Both the bedroom and the futon in the living room worked well for our family—ideal for a couple with a child. The location is perfect—just a short walk to the picturesque village. We enjoyed coffee, popovers, and live music at The Common Good, a nonprofit supporting the community food bank. Dinner at Beal’s Lobster Pier was a highlight, followed by evening strolls for ice cream. We even took a yoga class at the community center. Ed, the host and a local high school teacher, was friendly, easy to reach, and provided a helpful guidebook with hiking tips and beautiful photos of the island. We loved exploring Acadia’s quiet side, with a ferry trip to Swan’s Island, swimming and kayaking at Long Pond, and visiting Bass Harbor Lighthouse. Renting bikes for the day from Southwest Cycle was another great experience.Highly recommend for anyone seeking a relaxing and memorable Acadia getaway. (Our photo is watching a boy fish off the pier near Beal's).
Fantastic location and comfortable stay. The mattress and sheets in the primary bedroom were so plush and soft. Sleep was bliss! Off street parking was a bonus and it was easy to access the island explorer shuttle stop on Main Street Southwest Harbor to get around Acadia National Park. There were a few glitches checking in but the host responded quickly to resolve any issues. I would definitely stay here again!Tip: The bedroom windows are right by the main road, which can be noisy. Ear buds are helpful!
My wife and I are both teachers: my wife is a school counselor and I teach French and music. We are both involved in our Southwest Harbor community.
