Massive Luxury Mountain Home Great For Families #20-NCD0224
Our 'Elk Summit' home is in the exclusive Windcliff Estates, located just a few miles outside of the town of Estes Park and only a few minutes away from the YMCA of the Rockies. This home is very busy in the summer so we request that guests check in on Saturday and check out the following Saturday. If that's not enough time at the Elk Summit home your welcome to book two weeks or more as long as you're checking out on a Saturday. This policy does not apply to the offseason or shoulder seasons.
This 6,200 square foot luxurious mountain home provides unbelievable views of the Continental Divide and Rocky Mountain National Park. It is large enough that it can accommodate your whole family and give you the privacy you desire. When entering this majestic home from the front entry prepare to have your breath taken away! You're immediately welcomed into an inviting Great Room with a gas fireplace, and an absolutely incredible view of the Rockies spanning two levels with floor to ceiling windows. To your right lies the executive gourmet kitchen equipped with top of the line, brand new appliances and granite countertops. Everybody will want to be a chef and use the sub-zero refrigerator, double Viking oven with warming drawer, and Wolf gas range and hood. This kitchen has plenty of dinnerware to help you serve all of your family and friends during your holidays and special gatherings. To the left of the Great Room, lies one of the two enormous master bedroom suites with a special sliding glass door entrance onto the deck. It is loaded with amenities including in a gas fireplace, king bed, flat screen HDTV and a walk in closet fit for a star! You can relax in a little bit of heaven in the master bathroom complete with in-floor heating (throughout the entire house), a jetted bath for two, double vanity, granite countertops, ceramic tile and a steam shower with full body shower heads, and a tranquil overhead rain shower head. You can really melt away all of your stress in this spa environment! Also to be clear, there is a jetted tub in the bathroom, but no outside hot tub on the property.
Travel upstairs to the log I-beam loft and once again view the sights of the mountain range through the wall of windows spanning both floors then venture out on the deck to enjoy the serenity and smell the fresh mountain air. It truly has spectacular views, especially during the sunrise and sunset hours of the day. Stand at the log banister and overlook the Great Room below or turn to the left and visit the second master bedroom. This room has rustic log furniture, a walk in closet, gas fireplace, flat screen television and of course, more views. The master bath has a double vanity with granite countertops, ceramic tile and a steam shower. The bedroom next to the master houses a bunk bed with two full size beds. The closet in this room contains toys, books and games to entertain both children and families alike. Just outside the door of this room lies another full bathroom. The final bedroom on this floor is quite charming and has a queen bed, a private full bathroom and a wood lined cathedral ceiling. Go down the hall and find yourself in a lovely family room with a gas fireplace, wet bar with granite countertops and views, views and more views. Keep on the lookout; we have seen Elk, deer, hawks and even a few wild turkeys! We also have heard bear and bobcat sightings are common in the area, so have your camera ready!
The final floor is the basement, located at ground level. That's right; there are still amazing views from here! There is another Great Room with a gas fireplace, wet bar with granite countertops, sink, and an extra refrigerator. Off of the Great Room is the Theatre room equipped with an HDTV, BluRay player and surround sound. Down the hallway are a full bathroom and the final guest bedroom with a queen bed. Laundry facilities are also on this level.
This home is really a delight for all who enter with its amazing views, ski lodge feel and enough space to accommodate all of your guests with ease. With Rocky Mountain National Park and the YMCA just minutes away you will have plenty to do, not to mention all of the wonderful shopping and dining establishments located in Estes Park. We hope that our house will provide you with many wonderful memories and help to bring you closer to those who mean the most to you. This house was exactly what we needed. Enough space for everyone to get some alone time. Absolutely fantastic views of the mountains out the windows. Close to RMNP.
Beautiful home. Great views. It was clean and comfortable. Kitchen had several spices etc. we had absolutely no problems. Great place to enjoy the park and the town
We thoroughly enjoyed our family vacation, which this large, comfortable property made possible. The location and views are outstanding. Our children and grandchildren had a wonderful time, making for a great couple of weeks together.
This house was perfect for 4 couples ane 2 children. Lots of space, everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom, and the location was great. The view incredible!
We really enjoyed this home. It was large enough for our entire family except it could only sleep 10 people comfortably instead of 12. The view from the decks were awesome. The kitchen was well supplied. The wi-fi was great and Ryan was very responsive. Check in was easy.
We have stayed in Windcliff numerous times and this was by far the best home for a reunion with our three children and their families. Very spacious with a family gathering room on each of the three floors. Well stocked kitchen. Many of the rooms had fantastic views of the mountains. Will definitely return in the future.
The house is much larger than the pictures make it out to be and is stunningly beautiful!!! Very clean and well kept. Lots of places to hang out and easy to keep kids and adults separate if wanted. Was fortunate enough to meet the owner… very nice and friendly. Would highly recommend and will def stay there again! Thanks Ryan!!!
We had the most incredible week at Elk Summit! This house surpassed all our expectations! It was incredibly well stocked from kids toys to the kitchen! Our family of 8 had plenty of space to enjoy family time at the house. The garage was great to store rental cars. We loved the steam showers to help with the dry mountain air, a great luxury to have! The games and movies were plentiful and we fully enjoyed them during our stay! We would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a family friendly home to stay in!!!!
Stunning views. Immaculate. Spacious. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and more. The large bedrooms and full baths gave everyone privacy. Couldn't imagine a better place to create precious memories.
This large home is beautifully set on the hills in Windcliff. The views are breath taking and the house is large and beautiful. Just know the roads up to the house and to the driveway are steep and many winding switchbacks.... but totally worth it.
Family vacation, the house was perfect for our three familys to gather at the same location. We had room to spread out and it was very accommodating on a rainy day. The only thing that could have been better would have been a comfortable recliner/recliners in the main level great room. We had one member of our party that had a hard time with going up/down steps.
Came out to stay for Christmas with my family. Ages ranged from 1-83 and everyone LOVED the home. They made it so special for the Holiday! Tree was beautiful & every room was decorated! Could not have done it better myself! Home had EVERYTHING we needed & plenty of space for our group of 12. Will be staying here again. Not to mention the amazing views from every level!
The home is very spacious and easy for families to find separate spaces, but great for accommodating everyone together as well. The kitchen is very well equipped and stocked with most everything one would need. we could have four people working in the kitchen without tripping over each other. The property manager came promptly when we had an issue with the refrigerator. The view from the deck is marvelous. Each bedroom is roomy with an ensuite or nearby bathroom. The plumbing can be noisy. Overall, a fabulous stay!
In general, we had a great stay. The house was ideally located with great views of the mountains, and not too distant from town or park entrance. We were delayed from arriving at 4 PM due to late departure a previous guest. We did have issues with comforters on the beds Not being clean and problem with ventilation in the afternoon and evening as the house became very warm then. There was ample kitchen supplies for use But we found one of the knobs on the gas stove was stripped out. We very much enjoyed the property, and everyone agreed that it was a great place to stay, although with all the fees involved it was a bit expensive. We would definitely stay there again.
This house is three floors of big open spaces. We mainly gathered on the upper floor because it is carpeted, and more comfortable for our two year olds. The loft area up there is so big we were able to inflate a bounce house for our little ones to play in! The best part of this house is the location and the views, but that isn’t all the house has to offer. There’s plenty of room for multiple families with 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. The two decks are great for watching the sunset behind the mountains every night. Cooking isn’t a problem because every pot or pan you could possibly need is provided. The home is nicely decorated, and the owners are just a phone call away if you should need anything.
They were quick to repair a shower problem. Nice deck for star watching. Nice that they had unscented laundry soap, but many of the rooms had a fragrance when we checked in. The fragrance went away after a day or 2, except in one area where it seems the fragrance was coming from an "owner's closet" (no big deal for people who aren't sensitive to fragrance). Many lightbulbs were missing so some areas were dark. It would be nice to have some shade on the deck in the afternoon/early evening - this is when we wanted to use it but it was just too bright and warm, so we stayed inside. The garage door opener code did not work for us. The TV instructions for the basement TV were not sufficient so we couldn't use that TV. Small problems - overall we loved it.
lovely huge home
Great for our adult children and extended family.
Good hikes nearby.
Plenty of room to spread out and relax.
Kitchen and decks were super
Could not have been better.
Great property, great amenities, great view. Some details need attention. Several bedrooms fitted sheets keep sliding off matress. Could not find where to turn on Master bedroom overhead lights nearest fireplace. Could not adjust speed of MBR fan but could change its direction. Need more coffee cups. We would return without hesitation.
BEAUTIFUL home! The three levels allowed us to spread out so we could work (sadly, some did have to do that), play and gather together for great family meals. Lots of fun activities for young kids (book, games, TV, videos), a nice sized kitchen for cooking, spectacular mountain views, great stargazing in the night time, and wildlife that came very close to the house and stayed for awhile.
We loved it!
Spectacular! From the views of the mountains from 2 decks, to the well stocked chefs kitchen, large bedrooms, huge bathrooms with steam shower and whirlpool, a theatre room, all towels and linens, and board games, there’s nothing you need to bring. The home was spotless and close to downtown and the park entrance. Our family, 8 adults, 4 kids, had the best vacation. My 7 year old grandson said he liked the Colorado vacation better than Disney World.
