The property was in a good location for accessing the ADK Rail Trail. The property was clean and in a very quiet neighborhood. The hosts were responsive to our questions and replaced a burned-out light bulb quickly. The kitchen is bright with standard-sized appliances and is very well equipped for cooking. You will need to bring your own paper towels, aluminum foil and plastic wrap if you plan to cook. You will also need to bring your own facial tissue and bath soap as none were provided. The property is as described in the pictures except for the bathroom for the upstairs apartment which is not pictured in the listing. The upstairs bathroom is VERY small and had a power strip with an extension cord plugged in next to the sink which is an electrical hazard.Though the renovated sections of the unit (LR, DR, K) were in generally good shape, we were disappointed to find a number of maintenance issues including; inadequate security for the upstairs entrance door, lack of electrical outlets, peeling ceiling paint in one of the bedrooms, chipped plaster, shelves and wall hooks not properly fastened to the plaster walls, and a loose ceiling light in the kitchen. Though the queen-sized bed was very comfortable, in our opinion, the foam twin beds were too soft for an adult. Though none of these issues were a deal breaker for us, they did diminish out enjoyment of the property. The many positive features of the rental outweighed the disappointing maintenance problems.
