Waterfront cabin on the beautiful Lake of Egypt! This property is located in a very private area of the Shawnee National Forest in Tunnel Hill, IL. You can relax by the lake and watch the wildlife or just enjoy the views from the built-in sunroom. This lake cabin is also located near the wine trails and is the perfect getaway to enjoy the lake amenities, hunting, fishing, zip lining, rock climbing, hiking, biking, and enjoying nature at its finest. Sorry, no parties or events allowed.

Very spacious house and perfect cove for anyone that doesn’t want to be on the main channel. House had a kayak and lily pad which was fun for the kids, and the water in that area is shallow, which is good if you have little ones. House had everything we needed including a grill, baking dishes, etc.

Overall, the property worked well for our trip. The path to the dock could be better but that’s the only suggestion for what is a great property. The property is tucked in the back of a cove that is very quiet which is nice but limits views of the lake from the nice back patio. Steve is an excellent host. Always responds quickly.

Although there were other properties close it was a very quiet, peaceful area. There was plenty of space for the 4 adults we had. The host was always quick to respond to any questions or requests. The cabin was clean and we had to do very little clean up before leaving. We will definitely rent this again

We had a great time staying at this VRBO. The owner's were communicative and the house was as described, and very clean. We rented a pontoon boat and enjoyed the lake and were successful fishing. Overall, an excellent stay!

Our family of 4 fit perfectly here. We had everything we needed and the host was so nice and responsive. We fished off the dock for a little catch and release, our youngest son loved it. Very quiet and secluded. Just what we were looking for.
