Thanks so much, Lori. It was a pleasure hosting you. We look forward to seeing you again in the future.
Our six week stay was delightful - just what we were looking for to beat the Florida heat! The cottage is very well appointed, immaculate, and very livable. The host is closeby, very friendly and helpful, without being intrusive. The lake is lovely, and the walk down to the dock (though steep) is quite doable. Lots of trees, lovely landscaping and gardens. Enjoyed many birds! In a rural area - about 20 minues to shopping. Good restaurants about 10 minutes. We highly recommend!!

The guest house at Lily Lake is beautiful. It is even better than the pictures show. It was wonderful to communicate with Sal and he was very quick with his responses. Just perfect!
My family and I had a delightful stay at the Lily Lake Guest House this Thanksgiving. The location was perfect and the owners really put thought into creating an ambience that was comfortable, but filled with casual elegance. They also provided supplies to make it a turnkey/relaxing experience (such as recreational equipment, cooking tools and much more).
Sal was very accommodating and great to work with when making reservations- we hope to make this an annual trip.
We highly recommend the Lily Lake Guest House to all!!!

This property was amazing and the location was perfect. It felt like the cabin had been restored by one of those HGTV shows. Attention to details to keep the authentic feel but ensuring modern conveniences were spot on. It felt incredibly comfortable and relaxing from the moment I pulled into the driveway. The owners really helped this feel like home and that they cared about your visit. Can't wait to go back again.

Property was beautiful. Cozy and clean and beautiful.
Loved the smell of wood and trees when we sat in the screened in porch. We kayaked and made lots of delicious meals in the well equipped kitchen. We slept so well in the comfy beds. Loved the little notes around the property to show us where things were and how they worked. This was exactly what we needed: a break from life in the city. Thank you so much.

Great getaway!
We wanted a quick weekend getaway and this place was perfect. Very nice house, well maintained and clean. The house is steps away from the very picturesque Lily lake, we fished from the dock and did some hiking around too. It's close enough to some fun things to do in the area as well. Overall I would absolutely recommend this to anyone. The owners were great and we couldn't have asked for anything more. Thanks again! We'll surely be back.

I was looking for someplace comfortable, cleanly, homey & beautiful to enjoy a few days away from the city with my pup to start the new year and The Guest House at Lily Lake was all those things and more. The cottage is perfectly situated to enjoy the views and walks around the lake. And has everything you need to feel like you are at home away from home. The property managers were super responsive and welcoming without being at all intrusive and it was great having them nearby. I will definitely return and already look forward to it. Thanks so much to Sal & the family for exceeding my expectations and a really wonderful vacation!

Wonderful weekend getaway!
My husband and I enjoyed two nights over Labor Day weekend. The cottage is adorable and spotlessly clean. We were impressed by how well equipped it was and nice touches, like fresh flowers from the garden in almost every room. We used the double kayak, paddle boat and row boat. My husband enjoyed fishing (but not catching). We would definitely recommend to friends! Thank you!

My wife and I have been going to Maine on vacation but with the pandemic we were looking for somewhere in PA closer to home that would be quiet, private, well maintained, and pet friendly. This beautiful cottage on Lake Lily checked all the boxes and then some. The lake view was a bonus as we took advantage of the row boat and the scenic hiking trails, The house was very comfortable, updated, and clean. The owners and manager were friendly and accommodating. We will definitely keep it in mind for the future.

Great getaway
We spent a wonderful week at this cottage. The beauty is you can do as much or as little as you want. The patio, lakeside fire pit and deck were great places to be outdoors and read, enjoy a beverage and relax. The place is well equipped and thoroughly comfortable. We were fortunate to meet Sal and the owners who were so accommodating. Bob alerted us to be on the lookout for a bald eagle...we were blessed to see 3 that enjoyed an aerie just across the lake from us. Fishing was great....catching not so much but the serenity and exercise were great. Our son and grandson joined us for the last 2 days and thoroughly enjoyed the paddleboard and kayak. We couldn't have had a more restful and yet busy experience.

It was wonderful meeting you and your family. We couldn't be happier that you all were able to enjoy such a varied, yet relaxing, time at the lake. In our opinion, that's what it's all about. Please come join us again soon. Thanks again!
We had a wonderful time at this beautiful cottage on Lily Lake. First of all, the house has everything you might need. Well appointed. Lovely furnishings. We spent a good deal of time on the screened-in porch looking at the spectacular view and watching the thunder storms. We taught our grandkids how to fish, they caught many, and had a great time around the fire pit at night. On occasion the WiFi would drop which bothered the grandkids. Wasn't a problem for us. We brought our Roku stick to watch movies. It worked well. This place was perfect for us. Already booked for next August.

Thanks so much for taking the time to write, Joan. Glad to hear you had such a nice time. We look forward to seeing you again next August!
My husband and I spent a week at this perfect lake house. If I were to have a second home for the two of us, this would be it. The grounds were beautifully landscaped and the interior of the cottage was wonderful down to the last detail - modern, with high quality finishes, but with a craftsman-era feel. We also loved the two outdoor areas, a screened porch overlooking the lake and dock, and a stone patio with grill off the kitchen. Bob, the owner, who lives in another house on the property, couldn’t have been nicer or more responsive when we had two small issues. In addition to being on a beautiful lake, the cottage is near some wonderful recreation areas, including Ricketts Glen State Park, with a spectacular trail that takes you closely past 22 waterfalls. If you like vacations with nightlife and fancy restaurants then this is probably not the place for you. If you want to relax in a lovely little cottage in a gorgeous setting, you will love this place.

Thanks for the lovely review, Kathleen. The writing is so good that it reads like something out of a guide book. Glad we were able to deliver. Hope to see you again soon.
Our family had an amazing experience at the Guest House at Lily Lake! From the minute we arrived we felt completely at home. The house and surrounding garden are beautiful and very well maintained and we were impressed by how clean everything was. Steps down the hill from the house is beautiful Lily Lake. We enjoyed the kayak, stand up paddle board, fishing from the dock, and playing with our dog at the nearby beach. There is also a peddle boat and a rowboat available for use as well as lots of life jackets and inflatable toys. At Sal’s recommendation we took a walk around the lake - a great opportunity for birding with eagle sightings! There was also a lot of hiking opportunities in the surrounding area and we spent a great morning hiking in Rickett’s Glen, which is 40 minutes away. We all agreed that this was the best hike we’ve taken in Pennsylvania! We highly recommend Sal and Elaine’s place for a a peaceful lakeside getaway! We hope to return in the future!

Wow, Claire! Thanks so much for the kind words. Sounds like you got the most out of the vacation, especially getting out on the lake and seeing Ricketts.
A word of caution for the next time, though: The beach to the left is a private, members-only area. Glad you got to use it during the spring when most members are elsewhere. But they are known to enforce their membership requirements during the warmer months.
Looking forward to your next visit!
About the host
Hosted by Sal Deluca
Our family has spent summers at Lily Lake since the mid-1950s. Each generation has used it in its own way, but the place's natural beauty, fun, and relaxation have remained mostly unchanged through the years. For the last decade, we've decided to make it our full-time home and now would like others to have the opportunity to enjoy a little bit of what we've built our lives around.
Why they chose this property
The Lily Lake Guest House is on a parcel adjacent to our primary residence. As our family has grown, we use for get-togethers and holidays. It's far enough to offer our family and family a bit of seclusion, but close enough that we can easily spend time together.
What makes this property unique
We've tried to create a place with many modern conveniences yet one that maintains the popular rustic cottage style of the 1920s. Guests can enjoy heated bathroom floors and Internet access but also bear witness to the passage of time with the simple stone-and-mortar foundation created of rock found on the property, the original yellow pine clapboard siding and Douglas Fir flooring, the open-air patio and screened porch, and the structure's simple yet functional layout.
