*Currently we are taking extra measures to follow guidelines given by the EPA for both cleaning and sanitizing the cottage. We have gotten great reviews for cleanliness on our partner booking platforms, but want to ensure our guests that we have adjusted our cleaning procedures, which includes water-soluble cleaners and then using chemical cleaners and sanitizers on an approved list provided by the EPA for sanitation. We include anti-bacterial soaps and alcohol hand sanitizer for guest use. If you are sensitive to chemical cleaners and sanitizers, please let us know before your reservation, and we can adjust our cleaning process for your needs. *
Located on city bus line: 1 mile from Highway 101, and 2.5 miles from downtown Port Angeles where you will find unique shopping, restaurants, waterfront, and the ferry to Victoria Canada. William R. Fairchild International Airport 1 mile away. Twelve miles east of Lake Crescent Olympic National Park includes access to swimming, boating, and water sports. Fifteen miles west of Hurricane Ridge Olympic National Park. Local wineries located 1 to 2 miles west. Sol Duc Hot Springs is 34-mile drive from the cottage.

Captain's Cottage is a sanctuary getaway in a quiet neighborhood. It was renovated in 2018. Recently added comfy second queen bed in unit totaling 2 queen beds and a full size memory foam pullout in the living room. Beautiful wainscote pine paneling throughout the cottage. Private patio with wood-burning chiminea (wood provided). Small enclosed yard. Roku TV, 55” flat-screen Smart TV, and high-speed internet. Keyless entry. Cottage located in a nice residential neighborhood.
*Coffee, tea, juice, and snacks provided.
*Stocked kitchen for preparing meals (basic pantry supplies with cooking and baking utensils)
* Queen bed in bedroom and another queen in living area as well as a Full-Size memory foam pull-out sofa bed. Please let us know how many beds you will need and we will have them ready for you.
*Pac-N-Play crib upon request
*Party package available upon request (single layer cake: carrot, strawberry shortcake, chocolate, or vanilla, flowers: roses or a mixed bouquet, and/or champagne) Please call in advance.

Olympic Natl. Park Trip!

My wife and I stayed here for the first few days of exploring Olympic Natl Park, and it was the perfect cozy home base for going whale watching, hiking, and seeing all the beauty the park has to offer. The house was comfortable and clean and just right for the two of us:)

Convenient location in Port Angeles

We stayed 2 nights here to explore the Lake Crescent and Hurricane Ridge areas of Olympic NP. The cottage was in a perfect location for that and very convenient to the waterfront area for restaurants. It was clean and the decor is cute. One suggestion is to have a fan for each room in the warmer months as the days were quite warm during our stay.

Had a great experience at Captains Cottage. Location was perfect. 15 min to ONP! Quick to waterfront/dining, etcOwner was attentive and thoughtful. Space was perfect for my wife and I. Could see the space getting tight for more than 2 people. Kitchen: no way to bake something (like a take and bake pizza), but the induction plates worked well for what we were doing. If we ever get to come back, this will be at the top of our lodging list!

Nice cozy accomodation for a couple

Very nice accomodation for the two of us with good proximity to highlights at Olympic National Park. As noted in other reviews it was a quiet location away from the downtown. If you want to be able to walk to the downtown you will want a closer location, but just a short drive gets you there.

Perfect stay

This was the perfect home base to start and end our days filled with exploring Olympic National Park! It was within 5-10 minutes of great restaurants, shops and gas stations. It was cozy and the perfect space for my fiancé and I. We love to come back to Olympic National Park and would definitely stay at the cottage again!

Great Place

This was such a cute place that fit my family of 4 perfectly. We stayed the night before and the night after backpacking in Olympic. Super clean and really nice owners that you can tell put a lot of thought in putting this place together. Would highly recommend this place.

Cute comfy cottage in quiet neighborhood

We stayed one quick night here on our way to exploring different parts of Olympic National Park. It was clean, comfy, and had plenty of space for my 8 yo and me. Even though we didn't have time to take advantage of them, we did appreciate the little space in the front to hang out and the selection of movies in the living room.

Great Cottage base for exploring Olympic National Park

This little cottage was everything we could ask for. It was very clean, well stocked with coffee and tea, and very convenient for a base for exploring Olympic. My husband loved the cute nautical decorations. I loved having a full kitchen. I'd 100% stay there again.

Charming little cottage - loved it!

We loved our stay in the Captain's Cottage! So spacious and charming - you could spend hours looking at the details and decorations. The beds are comfy - we didn't want to get up! The owners have thought of every amenity, including a beverage table that was so appreciated! Thank you so much for your kindness! We spent two days on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula and were so happy to have found this delightful rental. Within minutes of restaurants, the Wharf, grocery store, etc. Would definitely recommend and we'd love to come back again!

Wish we could stay longer!!

The whole experience was pretty awesome. Kids loved the various game options. We all loved putting needle on the world map for her city, it was a cool idea and amazed to know people from all over the world has stayed at the property. The pike place coffee and the various spices in the kitchen helped in cooking food to satisfy our appetite. It was also very close to Crescent East Beach and Hurricane Ridge. Jake was a great host and was always available for any questions. Overall it is a 5 star experience.

Not fancy, but solid

This isn’t a fancy cottage, but very clean and has the basics. My sole complaint is the owners’ noisy dogs. They have 2 dogs that bark incessantly if they are outside. One sat outside the bedroom window and barked for a really long time while we were trying to sleep. My only two suggestions that would have made our stay better (other than the dogs being quiet): 1. Check in instructions/directions to unit are confusing. Would have been much easier to just have the address to use navigation. 2. There were only 3 small wine glasses to use. No regular drinking glasses. If you want a tall glass of water, you are out of luck. And if there are more than 3 people, you have to take turns and wash dishes between people using a drinking glass. Same with silverware—only 4 each spoons, forks, etc. I have never stayed in a rental that was so short on glasses & silverware. Usually those items are abundant.
