Very simple and painless process for check in. Property was very beautiful and Jackie was very communicative. Would definitely stay here again if I were in the area.
We REALLY enjoyed our stay. The property was so beautiful and peaceful. Jackie made sure everything was ready for us and that check in was easy and seamless. The apartment had everything we would need and was very comfortable and cozy. We especially enjoyed being greeted by the chickens every time we either left or arrived.

Thank you for the lovely review! So nice to have repeat guests like yourself(and your family) We hope you choose to stay with us again soon!
We had a wonderful weekend stay! Jackie's place is so cute, cozy and the location on the river couldn't be more beautiful. The fishing in the pond was amazing, the trail on the property and the riverfront relaxing was perfect. Close to all kinds of Chesapeake finds - Betterton Beach, Rock Hall, Chestertown, Eastern Neck. We will be back!
This was a perfect spot for us as we moved our daughter into Washington College. The grounds were beautiful and we wish we had more time to explore! We were greeted by adorable and friendly doggies!
What a peaceful stay we had on the Chester River. Quiet and relaxing, yet close enough to everything you need. We had a great time for sure, and Jackie was a wonderful host! Thanks Again!!!
My wife and I stayed at the property for 23 days. We found it well stocked and containing just about anything we might need. We enjoyed being close to the water and watching birds and sunsets, and we enjoyed the friendliness of the Sweetack family. We liked it so much we booked it for a longer period next summer!

Great getaway from hustle and bustle.
Really nice, cozy apartment on a beautiful farm. We were greeted by Jackie who was very friendly and full of great information. We also had some lovely fresh eggs waiting for us in the apartment that Jackie had just delivered. Great location to explore that area: Chestertown, Rock Hall, Eastern Neck Wildlife Refuge, etc.

Perfect Relaxing Retreat on the Chester River
We really enjoyed our stay at this peaceful get-away on the Chester River. The view is breathtaking and the rental is so cozy, with all the conveniences of home. We only wish we had done a longer stay there! We explored nearby Chestertown and spent a day wandering around Annapolis (highly recommend, about a 50 min drive) and really found this to be the perfect spot to put our feet up at the end of the day. Would highly recommend to friends and family! The hosts are also wonderful... they really thought of all the little details to make you feel at home!

If you go back to Annapolis please keep in mind that we have (2) VRBO's in the heart of Annapolis. They are listing 435647 & 422800.
The property is pretty secluded, which is nice for a little getaway. Be mindful of the animals that might cross your path, though, including deer and cats. We stayed during near-perfect fall weather and enjoyed the breezes the open windows brought in, so we are not sure how well heated/cooled it is in less-perfect weather. Our only suggestion is to bring your own drinking water, as the tap water is a bit sulfuric.

I appreciate this 5 star review. We do our best to make sure our VRBO apartment is as welcoming as possible. A few things I would like to address. Our property has a new Culligan water softener. Between having a very deep well, having the water conditioned with the water softener, and having the water tested often, I can assure our guests that the water is safe to drink and use, and is also delicious. I prefer it over any bottled water.
We do live on 80 acres, so you will see deer and alot of other wildlife. And, we do have 4 indoor/outdoor cats. One of which believes he is the farm mayor and will say hi to anyone who visits our farm :-) None of our cats are allowed in the apartment. They may try to follow someone into the building to be friendly, but we make sure to keep the apartment pet/allergen free.
The apartment has central AC and heat. We have middle of the summer guests and we have middle of the winter guests. All are kept very comfortable with our up to date HVAC. How nice that you were able to experience our river front property with the windows open!
This is a beautiful property and the apartment is clean, comfortable and perfect for a relaxing get away. There is a beautiful loop trail that follows the river and then moves into forest by the pond and stream. There is lovely wildlife and beautiful sunsets on the river. Charlie the cat will greet you warmly on arrival as will the property owners. Inside they're us a very comfortable queen bed in the bedroom, a sweet kitchen that is perfectly functional, and a great living/dining room with very comfy seating along with a daybed. I highly recommend as a getaway for individuals and couples. If you have a small child they would be comfortable too.
My husband, our two young boys, and I had the best weekend at Jackie’s house! The house was extremely clean with high quality bedding and towels for ultimate comfort. A very short walk to the dock, two kayaks, and paddle boards. We enjoyed fishing nonstop and never went more than ten minutes without catching a catfish or small sunfish. The property is beautiful. A big pond, chickens, a farm. We even saw a big turtle while walking around. Jackie was very friendly, attentive, welcoming, and very accommodating. We truly had the best time together as a family enjoying nature. We will be back for sure! I highly recommend staying here!
We stayed at Jackie’s cozy getaway for our 15th year anniversary and it was perfect. Her place was clean, comfortable and the extra touches were the icing on top! Such a wonderful little corner of the beautiful eastern shore. We felt close to everything but also far enough away. Highly recommend!
We were in awe of this beautiful location! In better weather we could have kayaked, enjoyed the views outdoors, cooked out, etc. The apartment was cozy with a lovely view of the river. We hope to be back!
My brother, sister, and I had a lovely stay. The property is very nice and the apartment had everything we needed to cook all our meals and was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed fishing and birdwatching from the dock and star-gazing at night. The location was perfect to explore Eastern Neck NWR and historic Chestertown, and Betterton Beach was great for an evening picnic and swim. The hosts were always friendly and helpful.
One note to visitors about the apartment, which is on the second floor. The steps were not a problem but there is no landing at the top when the door is closed. You just have to be mindful when coming and going.
Thank you for a relaxing vacation!
This place was so amazing! From the river view outside our place, to the land we were able to walk around, to the Hens that were so beautiful and friendly! The atmosphere was so peaceful. The host were so kind and always asked if everything is okay. We will def return to this place! Loved it!!
Our more than one month stay was thoroughly enjoyable. My wife and I love walking around the farm and enjoying the amenities the Sweetak’s provide. We have already made our reservation for next summer and will very much look forward to returning.
Great place to relax, fish and kayak. Great crab place nearby and ate on the picnic table. Dock is really nice and has great views. Took easy trips to Chestertown and Rock Hall. Plenty of room for couple with two adult children. Hosts were very nice. If you want to enjoy the river and not break the bank this is the place.
