About this property

Lake George NY - Family & Pet Friendly Vacation Home

Our Diamond Point vacation home is conveniently located between the village of Lake George and the town of Bolton Landing. There is a lake view when trees are not in full bloom. It is remodeled, comfortable, and peaceful with a babbling brook in the backyard. There are 3 bedrooms in the house, with an additional sitting room with a full bed. The house is fully equipped as we used this as a second home before making it a vacation rental. There is an adjoining deck with a grill for barbecues, and second deck off the master bedroom. Kayaks, paddle boards, and bicycles are available for your use. We have a nearby cabin that is on the water, where we keep the kayaks and paddle boards.

Our house is located 3 1/2 miles north of the village of Lake George and 5 miles south of Bolton Landing. The surrounding area offers many outdoor activities; swimming, biking, hiking and horseback riding are all readily available. Shopping, an array of restaurants, amusement parks and historic and cultural sites are also nearby. Bus transportation is available to all the nearby attractions and towns from Memorial Day through Labor Day. It is less than 30 minutes to Saratoga, providing an excellent location during horse racing season.

There are several public beaches within 10 minutes from the house.There is a large deck with a picnic table for outdoor eating, and a screened in porch for relaxing in the evenings. Several books, movies, and games are available for your use. Our house remains cool throughout the summer, while allowing you to enjoy the summer fun during the day. We have installed central air conditioning, and there are ceiling fans in most of the rooms. There are many great restaurants in the area, numerous outdoor activities, and entertainment venues nearby.

We have been vacationing in Lake George for more than 30 years. Diamond Point is a 5 minute drive to the Lake George village or Bolton Landing, but more peaceful and avoids the summer crowds. It is less than 3 miles from the Northway (87) and provides easy access to the entire Adirondack region.

My family loved this home. A nice, bright, sunny location with yard space for the dogs, plenty of sleeping space for kids, and close to our favorite breakfast spot. Also easy to get to beaches and the village of lake george while still being quiet and serene.Such a generous host as well! (Excellent brownies!)Would love to book here again!

Nice lake George getaway!

The house was perfect for our week long family vacation. It's an older house, but very clean and comfortable. Close to the village and grocery stores. The screen porch was a nice place to sit and relax without having to deal with bugs.

I stayed with 5 friends and 2 dogs in this house for 5 days and this place was perfect. Big house very comfortable and clean, but the host made our stay be even better taking us for kayak and being super kind with many recommendations and tips. I would totally choose this house again and would recommend it to anyone else visiting the area.

Enjoyed our stay here. Location was perfect - only a few minutes from both Lake George village and Bolton Landing. The house was clean and roomy enough for 7 of us. Rented this lovely home for Americade. Very convenient, yet quiet. Loved the screened in porch to enjoy morning coffee. Dog loved the woods & stream in the backyard. Washer and dryer was a big bonus.

We are a retired couple that have enjoyed family vacations in Lake George for more than 30 years. We have 2 adult married children with 4 young granddaughters. We live in Putnam County, NY but spend a great deal of time in Lake George. I am a retired educator, but still do some consulting in the area of special education. My husband is a retired attorney, but maintains a small practice. We appreciate all the area has to offer.

Why they chose this property

We purchased a second home in Lake George after camping in the area for many years. We rent out our home to other families, and mature adults so you may enjoy the beauty of the lake and surrounding area. We have created lasting memories with family and friends over the years, enjoying the lake and surrounding mountains during the day, and numerous restaurants, entertainment, and relaxing in the evenings. When renting out the house, we stay in another home nearby and are easily accessible.

What makes this property unique

We have remodeled our home to make it comfortable and welcoming. The deck is spacious with a new outdoor grill, and large picnic table for outdoor eating. The screened in porch offers a pleasant place to sit in the evenings and enjoy a cool breeze. There is a brook in the back that runs throughout the summer, providing a rhythmic background noise. Since it was a second home it is well equipped with all of the comforts of home. The house is in an ideal location providing easy access to Lake George village, Bolton Landing and Saratoga.
