About this property

“Comfy Cozy Rental Cabin” just minutes from the North end of Lake Quachita.

Located just a short drive to the North end of Lake Ouachita. With accesses to the Lake all just a few minutes from the home so, bring your boats, kayaks/canoes. The swimming area is approximately an 8 minute drive down from the home. Come back to the home after enjoying the Lake and kick back and relax cook s’mores or hot dogs in the fire pit located in the back yard or just relax on the big front porch. The home is surrounded by a wooden privacy fence with two 16 foot long metal mesh gates one in front that swing's open and one on the side. There is a small back porch with a porch swing. There is also walking trail that is a short driving distance from the home. Take a drive to the beautiful downtown Hot Springs where you can visit the Historical Bathhouse Row, Oaklawn Casino, and enjoy a day of shopping and dining at the many stores and restaurants. Come and enjoy!

We had a wonderful stay here, our 1st time visiting Ouachita Lake, and Buckville was a great place to spend the day at the lake and was a short driver down the road. Was very quiet and peaceful. The cabin was a little dated but well kept. It is completely fenced in and is pet friendly. We do not have dogs but is a nice feature if you have pets. it is a about 30 minutes from town so bring groceries. There was a dog odor in the 2nd bedroom, and a dip in the kitchen floor. It is an older cabin but the price fits the bill. Sitting on the front porch drinking coffee was so relaxing and enjoyable. having the washer/dryer was nice too!

Pros: loca great for us due to close to Lake Ouachita access & friends who live in Paris, AR, dog friendly w/ large gated yard/ house, covered porch w/ chairs/tables, charcoal grill, good outdoor lighting, well stocked kitchen w/ full frig/oven/micro/coffee pot/pod cof pot, kitchen table seats 4 (6 if had more chairs), 2 bdrms, beds & sofa sleeper comfortable (I had own extra mem foam for sofa sleeper), plenty of bedding/towels/cloths, washer/dryer was handy, ceiling fans in all rooms plus 2 floor fans, we watch some TV one night. Theresa answered questions in a timely manner. Cons: I had to work PT remotely & internet speed was a big struggle so if you need 100 download/10 upload speed you won't get it. After trying some lower cost things, I ended up having to purchase a StarLink mobile kit from Sams in Hot Springs, AR which did work & I may end up keeping it anyway to use at our seasonal rv site. A/C was a small struggle due to having to keep it at 72º or it would freeze up (I'm old & hormonal! Ha).
