This home is lovely and the hosts are very thoughtful. I can’t recommend this cottage highly enough. We hosted our company leadership retreat here and the setting was perfect. That being said, this home would be an incredible family vacation place. 5/5

Absolutely wonderful stay! The property was beautiful, comfortable, clean, and had everything we could have asked for AND MORE! But what truly made the experience exceptional was the host. They went above and beyond in every way to make sure we felt welcome and had everything we needed.Their communication, thoughtfulness, and attention to detail were outstanding. It’s clear they genuinely care about their guests and take pride in providing an incredible experience. We felt taken care of from start to finish and couldn’t have asked for a better host.We would happily stay here again and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a truly special stay. Thank you for going above and beyond and making our trip so memorable! (This was for my son’s wedding)

Our stay at Orr’s island was absolutely wonderful! Our group of 7 women stayed at the house and it was perfectly suited for us. The cabin is laid out and decorated beautifully, not a single detail was overlooked! From the cute vintage decor to a fully stocked kitchen with every item we needed (including bottles of drinking water). We enjoyed morning coffee (also a fully stocked set up) down by the waters edge and evenings talking and laughing around the fire pit. Kristin went a step further and even had sweet notes and gifts for us when we arrived including cheese and chocolate. There were even postcards and stamps for us to send notes back home! All the furniture was incredibly comfortable too. I mean it when not a single detail was overlooked! Everyone in our group has stayed at many vacation rentals over the years and we all agreed that this is one of the best ones we’ve ever stayed at!

Our group loved everything about this house, and we’re all still talking about it. First of all, it is set up wonderfully - really good bed linens and towels, an awesomely equipped kitchen, that wonderful coffee/tea area, the lovely toiletries in the baths (including bath crayons and rubber duckies for the littles), the little surprises left for us like some local chocolates, and gorgeous rhododendrons placed in a vase.Kristin was extremely easy and super pleasant to communicate with. The guest handbook is the best I’ve ever seen, listing places to eat and get provisions, and ideas for daily excursions. The real star of this rental is the view to the cove from the back porch. Day and night we enjoyed sitting on rockers, listing to the birds and the waves in the distance. We loved this part of mid-coast Maine - a little removed from the hustle and bustle of Boothbay Harbor, but still easy to drive there, as well as to Portland, Brunswick, and Bath. However, we were very happy enjoying the seafood restaurants, trails, and beach areas nearby. Thank you again for a wonderful stay. You’ve raised the bar for us on what to expect from a Maine coastal rental, and we would love to come back.
