Discover the timeless elegance of Tewesi Manor, a truly authentic Tahoe estate. Inspired by the historic Ehrman Mansion and 1902 Tahoe Tavern, details like turrets, dormers, angles and exterior colors and textures highlight this extraordinary lakefront home. This exceptional property feels as if it was designed by the renowned Walter Danforth Bliss himself, standing on Tahoe’s shoreline since the early 1900s. Named after the Washoe Native American Tribe's word for "people from far away," Tewesi Manor embodies the true spirit of Lake Tahoe, welcoming guests from near and far to a place where history, beauty, and modern luxury blend effortlessly. With its private pier, expansive shoreline, iconic Old Tahoe style, and unmatched access to outdoor adventure, Tewesi Manor stands as one of the finest luxury lakefront rentals in Lake Tahoe, offering an idyllic experience that feels deeply meaningful and truly memorable.

Tewesi welcomes guests into a world where classic Tahoe character, refined craftsmanship, and unforgettable lakefront living come together seamlessly. A granite cobblestone driveway meanders through impeccably landscaped grounds before opening to 200 feet of private lake frontage, a rare retreat offering tranquility just steps from Tahoe’s top restaurants, ski resorts, and year-round recreation. Spend your days enjoying an unparalleled suite of lakefront amenities, including a private pier, swim platform, and a dedicated buoy that accommodates boats up to 36 feet. A rubber-sided tender makes accessing your boat simple, while stand-up paddleboards, kayaks, and lake toys invite endless on-the-water adventure. Numerous decks and lakefront dining spaces with built-in heaters blur the line between indoor comfort and outdoor beauty, while a secluded lakeside hot tub offers a front-row seat to sunrise over the water or the soft alpenglow that settles on the mountains each evening.

Inside, floor-to-ceiling windows frame panoramic lake and mountain views, with warm wood interiors, thoughtful textures, and historic-inspired detailing at every turn. The inviting great room features a billiards table, a crackling fireplace, and an impressive leather-bound library, while the upstairs family room offers shuffleboard, a wet bar, comfy chairs and TV, providing cozy entertainment after days spent exploring the Tahoe shoreline. Beautiful coffered ceilings and cabinetry painted in warm tones create a comfortable atmosphere in the kitchen, and a butler’s pantry provides extra storage. The 18-foot radius staircase is the heart of the home, a spiraling masterpiece made of laminated curving wood and twisting steel. The lines of the landing and surrounding rooms echo the staircase’s sweeping shape. The estate’s crown jewel however is the masterfully designed primary suite, once described by a luxury-hotel owner as the finest suite he had ever had the privilege of enjoying. Guests wake to sweeping 180° lake views, step onto a private balcony with sun loungers, and unwind beside the fireplace or in a spa-style ensuite complete with claw foot soaking tub, steam shower, bidet, and walk-in closet. Three additional ensuite bedrooms, each with private or shared balcony access offer serene retreats for family and friends. Downstairs, the en suite bathroom has grab rails and a handheld shower. Three half bathrooms are located by the garage, near the back door (for lake-goers), and a powder room by the front.

Outdoors, manicured lakeside lawns create a perfect setting for gatherings, games, or quiet afternoons by the water, while a charming teepee tucked into the foliage adds a sense of whimsy for both children and adults. Tewesi offers with both luxury and privacy, ideal for intimate family stays, executive retreats, and travelers seeking the ultimate Tahoe lakefront vacation rental experience.

Guests may also elevate their stay with TLUXP’s premium concierge services, including private chef experiences, pre-arrival grocery stocking, boat and jet ski rentals, and personalized itinerary planning to enjoy everything North Lake Tahoe has to offer.

Winter Driving
Many highways, access roads and/or driveways are steep in Tahoe/Truckee and may be icy in the winter. To ensure your safety, it is critical that during November 1st - April 30th brakes, windshield wipers, defroster, heater and exhaust system are in top condition. Tires need to be properly inflated and the tread must be in excellent condition. Always carry tire chains, even if driving an AWD/4WD vehicle. Make sure the chains are the proper size for your tires and are in working order. You may find valuable winter driving tips from the CHP.

Summer Patio Furniture
Patio furniture is available for your use during summer months only. All outdoor tables, chairs and loungers are put into storage in the fall, in order to protect the furnishings from winter weather. Barbecue grills, however, do remain outside for your enjoyment.

Be Bear Aware
Black bears are very common in this area and have become habituated to human food and garbage. Because bears no longer have a strong fear of humans, you may encounter bears during your spring, summer and fall stays. Feeding bears is illegal. Leaving food outside, trash accessible, or doors and windows unlocked is likely to cause significant property damage to homes and to vehicles. Please take a moment to learn how to be Bear Aware, so that we can continue to live in harmony with our wildlife.

Office Holiday Hours
The TLUXP office is closed on New Year’s Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Therefore, we are unable to accommodate check-ins and check-outs on these dates. Thank you for understanding.
