Overall a great stay! Place was clean and exactly as described with towels, linens, and a starter supply of everything you could possibly need.Only note is that the seating in the main room is less than comfortable and a bit of an odd choice - 9 theater type seat/recliners. Would have loved a sectional or just a regular couch or two.

Thank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to share your experience. We’re delighted to hear that you found the home clean, accurately described, and well-stocked with supplies. It’s wonderful to know these details helped make your stay enjoyable. We also appreciate your feedback regarding the theater-style seating in the main room. Your preference for a sectional or regular couches is noted, as we continually look for ways to enhance our guests’ comfort. Thanks again for choosing Vacasa. Perfect get away for large families looking to stay on the water in a beautiful home filled with amenities in a scenic and private location.
We loved our stay at the Lobster Shack. Everything was really really nice! Beautiful spacious house with great outdoor spaces. Was close to everything we needed. Love it! Would highly recommend.
This home was exactly what we wanted - a beautiful & roomy place that provided rest and relaxation w/ beautiful views. We were actually surprised to find the out had more beds then we realized. There are two full rooms upstairs that both have four bunk beds as well as another queen(?) bed in each room two. So there were 10 beds upstairs! We loved it & look forward to another opportunity to stay again!
This home was great for our group of 11.
7 adults. 4 children. So spacious. Had almost any amenity you could think of.
Enjoyed the outdoor seating and the view was spectacular.
Boothbay Harbor was just a short drive away. Grocery store very convenient too.
So many things to do with just a short drive.
Thanks for a wonderful time in Maine!

A peaceful home away from home
This house is beautiful, located on a quiet private road with a waterfront view. Booking was so easy and the communication was great. It is perfect for a large family where as it sleeps 14 people! The kitchen is amazing, it was stocked with every utensil and cook ware you could ever need, along with every day needs as well. The rooms were adorable and the master sweet was amazing! The hot tub and grill patio was a favorite spot along with the game and bar room downstairs too! Our kids loved the dock and the use of the paddle boards there! It was overall a great experience! Lasting memories were made here! Thank you!!!

Perfect for our family getaway
We took three generations, including a 4 year old and a ten month old, for a week in Maine. Originally considering an all-inclusive resort, but some thought that a house would give us more freedom to be together at all hours, and they were right.
The Lobster Shack was a real gem. Dream kitchen had every bell and whistle - air hockey, hot tub, pool table, popcorn machine, fire pit provided plenty of entertainment. We discovered the sandy beach area a very short distance away, at low tide after a few days, be sure to look at the right time. Also lucky to have a week of perfect weather, but if it hadn’t been the house would have been a fine place to just hang out. Every family member from youngest to oldest loved it.

Loving the Lobster Shack!
This home was the perfect place for our family vacation with five adults and four kids. The house was beautiful and extremely clean, but our favorite part was the location. On quiet mornings we drank coffee on the deck and watched eagles, osprey, herons, and seals. At night we heard loons. The kids found hermit crabs at the beach area and the adults loved the kayaks. And we were a short driver from Ocean Point and downtown Boothbay. Definitely five stars!

Great stay for multiple families
This was a great stay for our three families. The kitchen has pretty much everything you need. The basement was a fun hang-out space for the kids. The mattresses were the best part. We all felt very well rested all week. For the number of people/families it was a bit challenging not having a door/lacking privacy for the grown ups sleeping in the beds adjacent to the bunk room. But we made do and it was fine.

Amazing!
The Lobster Shack was the perfect getaway for our family! In Maine for a wedding, the Lobster Shack was large enough to house our family and provided multiple spaces for us to hang out without feeling cramped. The amenities and views were incredible, the neighbors were friendly and the short walk to the dock was perfect on misty, cool nights. We struggled to find a "closet" for the baby; families with littles beware the bedrooms are shared spaces (but they do have blackout curtains)! We will for sure be back again! Thank you!!!!!
We chose Boothbay Maine for our yearly men’s weekend in October 2023. We all arrived on Wednesday and left on Sunday. We were supposed to be 12 guys this year but only 9 friends could make it. The house can accommodate up to 14 people very comfortably.
The location of the house was perfect being close to downtown Boothbay Harbor and the views of the water from the house were spectacular. We enjoyed the dock in front of the house where you could explore the water on a provided canoe or kayak.
The house was great for a large group and it had all the amenities you can imagine (chef kitchen, pool table, foosball, bar, sauna, comfortable beds, etc.) The outside was great as well. You had a large deck where you could enjoy a stunning view while eating at a round table or lounging on a very large comfortable sectional. You have a barbecue and a fire pit with a sitting area as well. Also, having the outdoor jacuzzi was so much fun and a big plus.
All in all, this house exceeded all of our expectations. The owners of this beautiful property went all out to give us a memorable experience we will all remember for a long time.
Best Regards, Michael Reed & the guys
For a week in July 2023, we enjoyed a family reunion at this beautiful coastal home in a private, wooded setting. Our family consists of five different family units, including two older adults, our four grown children and their spouses, and three grandchildren, including an 8-year-old, 2-year-old, and a 9-month old baby. There was plenty of room to spend time together as well as ample private space for each family. The water view is lovely, and the house itself is not only roomy but also includes numerous amenities and recreational opportunities that the owners generously share with guests. These include a fully equipped and spacious kitchen, an amazing master suite, three full bathrooms, a large TV with theater seats, and a fireplace. The bedrooms are spacious, with large and comfortable beds and two built-in bunk areas for the kids. Outside, there is a large deck with an extendible awning, seating, and big family table, plus a propane pizza oven and grill. In the basement is a rec room with a bar and stools, a classic popcorn machine (supplied with popcorn kits), a sauna, pool table, and air hockey. Outside are a fire pit with plenty of chairs, a hot tub, plus multiple kayaks and a paddle board with life jackets. Just a one- or two-minute stroll away is a small beach that offers a swimming dock, a place to launch kayaks, a wading area, and rocks to climb on. We were all quite blown away by this spacious and welcoming home.
