Tucked in the middle of 8 private wooded acres, this rustic and charming two-bedroom cabin is your personal Vermont escape. No neighbors in sight — just trees, birds, & open sky.
Start mornings with coffee on the large wraparound deck and end evenings with dinner under string lights and stars. With room for up to 5 guests, it’s the perfect place to unplug, unwind, and reconnect — with nature and with each other. Enjoy a full kitchen, cozy living area, and a propane fireplace for cooler nights.
Enjoy movies under the stars on a 100-inch screen with a 4K projector. Stream movies from your own device (connect to projector via HDMI or USB-C cord provided)
Brattleboro is a short 15 minute drive away for restaurants and shops. Southern Vermont’s hiking trails, peak foliage, and ski areas are all within easy reach. High-speed wifi throughout, including on the deck, makes it ideal for remote workers, writers, or anyone who needs to stay connected while escaping the city.
The property is nestled in the middle of over eight wooded acres. The house is up a hill, with a 350 foot driveway.
There are four steps needed to walk up to the deck to enter the house.
The property is two levels, and the lofted area where the second bedroom is located utilizes steeper than normal stairs (roughly 1-2" higher per step). Please use caution and keep ahold of handrail when using stairs.
The downstairs bedroom has a queen-sized bed while upstairs is a full bed with a twin trundle bed. If extra sleeping is needed, we also have a queen-sized air mattress we can make available.
Our water is from the well, and filtered and treated with UV light, and drinkable. However, the well has limited supply, and longer showers and multiple loads of laundry can drain the well. If this happens, please wait a couple of hours before heavier water use to allow it to recover. If water seems to have stopped without a lot of use please let us know.
While very private, sound can carry down the hill to the neighbors, so please be courteous with no loud music or noise.
Unfortunately no pets are allowed. Our floors are softwood that are prone to scratching easily.
The wood stove in the corner is closed for the summer, so no wood fires. We still have a propane stove with the thermostat near the coffee machine.
The entire house is available to the guest. Further, all outside areas are available as well, except the larger shed with the padlock.
The small shed at the top of the driveway holds cushions for outdoor furniture. Please put away when not in use and rain is forecasted, or before checking out.
Generally we leave our guests be, as we have self check in and check out. If there are any questions or something needed, please don't hesitate to reach out! We're also happy to provide recommendations for things to do in and around southern Vermont.
