The rooftop was a highlight, perfect for morning coffee while watching the sunrise and relaxing at night with tea under the stars. The direct beach access from the deck made our stay so easy, especially with kids, who could go back and forth whenever they needed. It was a wonderful setup and made our vacation both relaxing and convenient.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here, and it was the most relaxing, peaceful, and beautiful place we have stayed in a long time. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to cook meals together, and the view from the rooftop is breathtaking. We hope to come back and stay again.

This house was perfect to visit our sons for Thanksgiving, with the close proximity to base but yet the feel of worlds away. We enjoyed the beautiful views of the ocean from all three levels. I would love to revisit in the summer!

The location and beach access were great, but unfortunately the condition of the house really impacted our stay. We arrived to dirty floors and water leaking through the dining room ceiling. While the owners responded quickly and fixed those issues within a couple of hours, additional problems kept coming up.Two days later we lost warm water completely, and despite attempts to fix it, we had no hot water for the rest of our stay. We ultimately decided to leave early because of it. The house overall seems worn down and in need of maintenance, with several things not working properly, including the dryer.The owners communicated quickly throughout, but the number of issues made this a disappointing experience overall.

Great Beach Vacation

This was the perfect place to spend a few days at the beach. It was great to walk out the door and right onto the beach. The view from all three decks was spectacular. We would definitely recommend to others.

Absolutely magnificent

The house was beautiful and the location and access to beach was so worth its weight in gold! The only thing was that this is a duplex so of you prefer solo with no close neighbors its not for you. The access was perfect and right on the beach.

We recently just stayed at Up On The Roof and had a great time! The weather was perfect, the place was updated, very clean and had great access to the beach, we could not have asked for more. We also met the owners who were very nice and helpful and we enjoyed meeting them. We love visiting Topsail and will definitely be visiting again soon!

Breathtaking Location

The house was perfect for our stay. It's located on a quieter section of beach. We could watch sunsets rise over the ocean in the morning and then set over the intercoastal in the evening from the rooftop deck. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped.

We had a great time reconnecting with friends and the beachfront location was definitely the best part of the stay. However, I do think the listing should be updated to better reflect the property.The home was listed with an additional queen bedroom, but there are really only two true queen beds. Aside from the additional queen listed 2 time on the listing - one of the actual queens that was in the downstairs “alcove” which is including in one of the "bedroom counts" is an open space under the stairs with no door, bathroom, or closet, so it did not feel like a true bedroom.We were also surprised to learn the property is a duplex with an adjoining unit connected by a thin interior door in the kitchen. This was not clearly disclosed in the listing, and because sound traveled easily between units, we received a noise complaint the first night despite trying to be respectful. We booked expecting a private single-family home for our reunion group, so this was frustrating.Additionally, the kitchen was not stocked appropriately for the number of guests the listing says the house accommodates. There wasn’t enough silverware for our group, so we constantly had to wash dishes throughout the weekend.Again, the location itself was beautiful but I strongly encourage the hosts to update the listing details and photos so guests have a much clearer understanding of the layout and shared nature of the house.
