The rooftop was a highlight, perfect for morning coffee while watching the sunrise and relaxing at night with tea under the stars. The direct beach access from the deck made our stay so easy, especially with kids, who could go back and forth whenever they needed. It was a wonderful setup and made our vacation both relaxing and convenient.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here, and it was the most relaxing, peaceful, and beautiful place we have stayed in a long time. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to cook meals together, and the view from the rooftop is breathtaking. We hope to come back and stay again.

This house was perfect to visit our sons for Thanksgiving, with the close proximity to base but yet the feel of worlds away. We enjoyed the beautiful views of the ocean from all three levels. I would love to revisit in the summer!

House had everything we needed. Lots of room and fully stocked with pots & pans, dishes, glassware, etc. Location can’t be beat, right on the beach. We enjoyed star gazing from the top deck and the fire pit. Gorgeous sun rises and sun sets!

Great Beach Vacation

This was the perfect place to spend a few days at the beach. It was great to walk out the door and right onto the beach. The view from all three decks was spectacular. We would definitely recommend to others.

The location and beach access were great, but unfortunately the condition of the house really impacted our stay. We arrived to dirty floors and water leaking through the dining room ceiling. While the owners responded quickly and fixed those issues within a couple of hours, additional problems kept coming up.Two days later we lost warm water completely, and despite attempts to fix it, we had no hot water for the rest of our stay. We ultimately decided to leave early because of it. The house overall seems worn down and in need of maintenance, with several things not working properly, including the dryer.The owners communicated quickly throughout, but the number of issues made this a disappointing experience overall.

We are genuinely sorry the condition of the home fell short and impacted your vacation. We have since changed cleaning crews, but the responsible cleaning crew was back onsite to touch up the issues within 2 hours of check in - we appreciate you recognizing this. The dining-room ceiling leak was partially due to water being spashed out of bathtub just above the dining room - but once again we had someone out to address within a couple hours. Issues like that are unacceptable, and we take full responsibility. Your feedback helps us raise the bar even higher. We’ve already completed repairs to the hot-water system, replaced/serviced the dryer, moved to a new set of cleaners. We would love the chance to welcome you back and make it right. Please reach out directly and mention this review — we’d be happy to offer you a special returning-guest discount and ensure everything is perfect next time. Great place to stay!

We recently just stayed at Up On The Roof and had a great time! The weather was perfect, the place was updated, very clean and had great access to the beach, we could not have asked for more. We also met the owners who were very nice and helpful and we enjoyed meeting them. We love visiting Topsail and will definitely be visiting again soon!

Breathtaking Location

The house was perfect for our stay. It's located on a quieter section of beach. We could watch sunsets rise over the ocean in the morning and then set over the intercoastal in the evening from the rooftop deck. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped.

Absolutely magnificent

The house was beautiful and the location and access to beach was so worth its weight in gold! The only thing was that this is a duplex so of you prefer solo with no close neighbors its not for you. The access was perfect and right on the beach.
