The River's Edge is a perfect mountain getaway with large family gathering areas both inside and out. Sit with clear views of the river while listening only to its sound as it gently rolls by the back deck. Watch moose as they graze the willow thickets on the river's edge down the Colorado River Valley above Grand Lake. Walk a few steps from the cabin and try your fishing skills on a ½ mile stretch of semi-private water. Our cabin has all the modern conveniences, new furniture and appliances. River's Edge is nestled on over an acre of land to ensure private quiet enjoyment of the majestic mountain and river views where all that can be heard is the rumbling of the river. Located in a private community with semi-private fishing access out the back door and fishing and fishing/boating access to Grand Lake, Shadow Mountain Lake, and Lake Granby. Snowmobile access 1/2 mile away. Hike the private river access across from our 1.24 acre lot or sit and watch the moose and big game that follow the river or picnic on the shore of one of the lakes. We are located only five minutes to the town of Grand Lake or Rocky Mountain National Park. Elk, Moose, Deer, and Fox frequent our lush property. This is a beautiful cabin in the tall pines.

Wonderful home with the Colorado River in the backyard. Very well built, plenty of space, and quiet area. Host was very responsive and rental/check-in process were smooth and straightforward.
Can't say enough positive things about our experience staying here! This is the 3rd year in a row, and we won't stay anywhere else. Secluded, clean, friendly...we love all parts of it. The house is awesome, the view is awesome, and the property manager is awesome....you'll love it.
This property is wonderful for a group of people. Kitchen was fully functional. Bathrooms were great. Beds were comfortable. Outside seating was wonderful with great views of river. Hummingbirds let you know they need the feeders put out! Overall a great place to stay with easy access to RMMP and the wonderful grand lake area.
We reserved the home for family to stay in for our wedding and it was wonderful! A very beautiful, clean home with beautiful views of the river. The owner was very easy to communicate and work with and both check in and check out processes were clearly explained and simple! Would definitely stay again! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home!
Beautiful property! We had plenty of space for a larger group. Being right on the river was so neat. We loved the kitchen setup and it provided all the appliances and supplies needed to cook meals. Quiet neighborhood. We walked through the neighborhood and enjoyed the scenery. Would stay again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! Loved the river setting and the proximity to the park. The owners were very helpful in communicating any helpful info. Would definitely stay again!
We had a group of 7 friends from different parts of the US in September. The house was excellent. Good kitchen for cooking and comfortable beds. Short drive to Grand Lake and RMNP. Having the Colorado River right out the back of the house was the best part. Beautiful sunsets, water sounds, and wildlife each day. We had happy hour on the water each night!
Awesome house right on the Colorado River. Can’t beat sitting on the back patio listening to the river and seeing wildlife. Saw moose, elk, and deer while we stayed. Host is super responsive. Our stay couldn’t have been better. Hesitate recommending, as it’s a hidden gem!
We thoroughly enjoyed your home ... it was a beautiful place to celebrate our 57th Wedding Anniversary. Surprised that there wasn't a toaster. Looking forward to returning. !!
We had such a wonderful time at this property. The house was spotless, the beds were so comfortable and the accommodations were exactly what we needed. Plus a mother moose and her young baby made daily visits. We would stay here again and again
The property is gorgeous and it is such a nice place. Everything went well, with the exception of a TV/Wi-fi glitch that couldn't be helped. Thanks for an awesome stay!
Our family had a great time visiting the area from your cabin! Everything went smoothly. We saw a moose and elk right from the yard. Thank you for opening your home to us!
This was a beautiful, well maintained property in an amazing setting. Our family had plenty of space to gather together Orr have privacy when needed. The patio has a beautiful view of the river and we saw the neighborhood moose several times a day. We loved it!
This property was tops. Location, clean, stocked well for a family. Space was adequate and could enjoy nature at it's best. We would come back. Thanks Kathy for sharing your home.
Beautiful cabin with all the amenities you need. Very easy online booking, lots of messages from the owner and even a phone call. Would of given a complete overall 5 star but needed light bulbs throughout the house.
First time ever to Colorado and it was the best! The house was perfect! I wish we would have seen more wildlife at the house, but they were hiding 😁 I would recommend this house to anyone! Relaxing and peaceful ❤️
Second time staying at this riverfront masterpiece with my family. Well appointed, clean, spacious, right on the river! My family loved the total relaxation near the river, with the BBQ, lots of seating, hammock, and fishable river! We saw a mama moose and her baby come visit the property twice during our stay. We gave them a wide berth and took lots of pics from the second floor balcony. The lakes (Granby, Shadowmountain, and Grand) are great for swimming, kayaking, fishing, etc., and Rocky Mountain National Park's western entrance is only minutes away.
We plan to keep coming back to this gem!

About the host
Hosted by Kathy Pehanich
My husband and I purchased this property as a vacation home for our family of 3 grown children, and 9 grandchildren. Like most folks, we just wanted peace and happiness for our family and friends. We were fortunate enough to be able to purchase this home where we have made many memories when family gathers for holidays, or just to unwind for a few days. I am now widowed but still love to share our special place with guests.
Why they chose this property
We chose Grand Lake for several reasons. If you go into the village, you won't see fast food chain restaurants or neon lights. That said, you can get a gourmet meal if you choose to do so.
We enjoy boating and fishing on the 3 nearby lakes, reservoir and several rivers.
On the flip side, there are countless outdoor activities year around. Also, within an easy 30 minute drive is the world renounced ski resort of Winter Park. Within 20 minutes is the smaller more intimate resort of Sol Vista.
To sum it up, Grand Lake has it all without the hustle and bustle of most resort areas.
What makes this property unique
When we pulled up to view this home, the first thing we noticed was the sound of gently flowing water. The house itself was immaculate to the point that we thought it was new construction. For us, it was a no brainier. In the Summer, we open the windows and go to sleep to the sounds of the river. It also doesn't hurt to go out the back door and go fishing.
