Linda was an amazing host. The neighborhood was absolutely adorable and it was a very easy walk to the beach. Visible sunset from the deck was a huge bonus!
Beautifully situated property, just steps from the beach, with the best balcony on the street for lake views and happy hour cocktails. Kind and solicitous owner who cares about your experience. Hope to stay again some day!
Great views from both deck and living room! Private, exclusive community. Easy walk to the beach. Clean and homey. Great communication with owner. Perfect for our needs.
Linda was amazing to work with. Could see quite a bit of Lake Michigan from the deck, waves crashing on the pier. Very clean. Had everything we needed. Enjoyed the week.
Nice rental and great hostess. There were more steps at the house than anticipated. We explored many areas so spent less time at the beach. The sunset views were blocked by the waterfront house in front of the rental Burt we only had to walk across the street and 50 yards to the water. House was very well equipped, clean and attractive. Second bedroom trundle bed was not easily accessible but the hide a bed couch was comfortsble
Our family (two adults, two children) absolutely loved our time here. It's located in a small, quiet beach community. The cottage had everything a family could need for a stay. We enjoyed spending time on the front patio and walking to the beach several times a day. Linda was a kind and helpful host. We would definitely stay again!
Plenty of room to meet our needs, have friends in for lunch, lovely decks, short walk to the beach, quiet neighborhood. The host was helpful before and at checkin. One needs to make sure they consider the number of stair steps to access the main living area. We did well with the stairs and the walk to the beach. It was great having secured indoor parking for our vehicle.
We loved this cottage. It was an excellent week long vacation. The house was clean and Linda was very kind and was available if we needed anything(we didn’t). The beach was amazing and several afternoons there was only us and 1 other family near the access point. We loved visiting Holland and Grand Haven. They are 15 min drive to the edge of the towns but about 25 mins to downtowns. We enjoyed several of the recommended restaurants and enjoyed picking blueberries from Crossroads. The kitchen had all the pots and pans we needed though could use a couple more bowls. A few other things to note the beach is not a long walk but if your family usually has a bunch of stuff to take to the beach you will need to bring a wagon or sled for transporting things. Also the outdoor shower was not working, though we made use of the spigot and bucket in the garage after beach trips. Overall we loved our stay and would recommend it to anyone!
Linda was a wonderful host and her cottage has everything you need for an awesome family vacation! It is just as described on the site. Close to the beach and not too far to the neighboring towns that are fun to explore! This was our first time to Michigan and we hope to visit again!
Loved this house, it felt like home. The short walk to the beach was wonderful. Linda was so sweet to us and helped us with everything. We will definitely be back! Thank you for a relaxing week!
We were at this property for over a week. We found it to be the perfect location to travel to several locations and day trips and then be able to come back and enjoy an evening of relaxation on the beach. We had 3 people in our party so the house was a great size for us. The property was clean and welcoming. There are a lot of stairs and soft sand makes for a slower walk to the beach (and the sand gets HOT, bring some water shoes to get back and forth), we didn't have any trouble with the stairs and beach walk, but it should be noted in case you have someone that may find that a hardship.
All in all a very nice stay and by the end the community felt like home. We would stay again.
We had a pleasant stay. Great deck, nice lake views. We hope to stay here again.

Restful stay just steps from the beach
This two-bedroom cottage was ideal for our small family. Comfortable communal living space, fully equipped kitchen, all amenities provided. The exterior has recently been given an attractive facelift and the interior is clean and well cared-for. The owner was very conscientious and easy to work with on the details of our stay. We spent mornings and evenings on the deck overlooking Lake Michigan and afternoons on the community's private beach, less than a five minute walk down a well-maintained path just steps from the cottage. Perfect Lake Michigan getaway. We hope to come again!

A great lake Michigan experience.
We had a wonderful time in this lovely home. The surrounding area is an association and well taken care of beautiful HOMES on the lake. Pristine beach, but about 100 yds from the cottage as reported in the ad., and the deep sand makes this a workout for someone who has difficulty walking. Also there are many steps up to the living area in the cottage. The younger members of the family had no difficulty with trecking to the beach, or managing the steps, it was just me, the grandma.
The cottage is immaculate and full service from dishwasher to ice maker in the fridge. We spent most of our time on the broad, clean deck, overlooking the homes across the street and the family traffic on their way to the beach. While there are houses immediately in front of this cottage which are directly on the beach. we feel we had more than enough of a great view, we watched the sunsets every night. Everything in the listing was correct and appreciated.

Misleading description
This was a nice place and very clean and well maintained, but the description on this site was quite misleading. This property is not "beachfront" or "waterfront," since between this cottage and the beach are a road, another row of houses and 50' of grassy dunes. I don't mind the dunes, of course, but the other houses between this cottage and the beach definitely should preclude "beachfront" from being part of the description. The description also claims the front deck "overlooks the water" and this also is a stretch. Yes, there is a water view; however, one must look through the power lines and around the houses between this cottage and the beach in order to see it. Pricing would have been OK for true beachfront, but I thought it was little steep for its actual location.
On the positive side, the cottage was spotlessly clean and very well stocked, including things like paper towels, toilet paper, and laundry detergent. The beach is beautiful, and the whole area is secluded and quiet. The owner was prompt, friendly, and accommodating. Since there is no cleaning fee charged, renters are expected to thoroughly clean before they leave, which is not a problem for us, but others might dislike this policy. Families should be aware that the only bed for mom and dad is a fold-out couch in the living room, unless you want to do as we did and push the twin beds together in the front bedroom. Again, not a big problem for us but something for families with kids to consider.
