Recently married, my wife and I booked this property to bring our adult children together for the first time. It could not have been more perfect. The young people biked and kayaked; we all cooked in the kitchen, and made Smores out by the fire. Kim is the most responsive/responsible host I have ever encountered. She takes her business seriously, with attention to detail from start to finish.Can't recommend this experience more highly.

The house encompassed everything we ever needed and wanted to celebrate my sister for the weekend! EVERYTHING is so perfectly planned out in the home. We have been staying at this lovely house for the past 3 years over Memorial Day weekend and is always wonderful! The views of the water were absolutely stunning. The home was spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully decorated, with plenty of space to relax both indoors and outside.The kitchen was fully stocked, the beds were comfortable, and everything we needed was provided to make our stay easy and enjoyable.The location was perfect — quiet and relaxing, yet close enough to restaurants, shops, and local attractions. The host was welcoming, responsive, and made sure we felt right at home.This was the perfect getaway for rest, relaxation, and making wonderful memories. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful lakeside retreat!

The Blue Oar is one of (if not the most!) well stocked property I’ve ever stayed at! It truly had everything a family would need for a stay. We stayed in the winter and used the snow shoes available for guests. Property is also well located and accessible to lots of fun winter sports activities.

Everything at the house was in top notch condition, as advertised and the host was terrific. We got caught in the middle of a serious snowstorm and had to stay an extra day; and the hostwas very accommodating. Fortunately, it was available another for another night. It was absolutely perfect for our needs, for eight people, and made our stay quite enjoyable. We will be back!

Great Lakeside Summer Abode

Fantastic property with all of the amenities! Very clean and very nice beds with a great lakeside view, access to dock, paddle boat, firepit, garage and backyard. Also felt very safe in this area! Highly recommend for any short visit or weeklong vacation! Five Stars

House was very clean and extremely well stocked. Lake was gorgeous. Everything was supplied for our enjoyment - kayaks, paddle boards, life jackets, fishing rods, bikes, Adirondack chairs, corn-hole, beach towels, and more. We had a wonderful, relaxing two days. Owner is very responsive. Just a great place to stay.

Home away from home

We were looking for a nice peaceful place to relax and we definitely found it. From waking up each morning to the beautiful view, to spending the day kayaking and then end it with a cozy fire all by the lake, it was perfect.
