This is just what I was looking for in a get away in the mountains. The mountain stream in the back is fabulous to drink coffee to in the morning. It is a quiet, peaceful respite yet so very close to Brevard and the hiking trails. This rental has everything you might need as far as kitchen cooking needs and small appliances and entertainment with cable and internet connection. There is not a visible neighbor and through the tree lined sky you will be able to see all the stars. The host is very helpful, available and detailed in directions and instructions. It was a pleasure to stay here and I hope to do it again very soon.

We had a wonderful and relaxing Thanksgiving at this beautiful home! The setting was quiet and private, and the sound of the stream and waterfall was perfect for porch-sitting. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a delicious Thanksgiving meal. We absolutely would stay again!

This was our 4th stay at Ray's place with our furbabies. We always enjoy how quiet and peaceful it is to be in the middle of the woods. We really enjoy the small waterfall and creek as well. The front porch and back deck are both covered so you can relax and enjoy the scenery even in rain or snow.The house itself is very comfortable and roomy. We only use the main level, which has the master bedroom, but the upstairs is also very nice with its own bath. The kitchen is very clean and stocked with everything you need for cooking, including small appliances. We always stop on our way in to stock up on food for the stay. Ingles is about 10 miles away. There is also a Dollar General 2.5 miles away. There is also Cedar Mtn Outpost less than 5 miles that serves pizza, sandwiches, craft beers and wine.We have definitely made this place a regular getaway.

Wonderful winter retreat

The place is comfortable and very private. The completely wooded property is beautiful. The kitchen is nicely set up with anything you could want for fixing meals. There's lots of seating for larger families. Bedrooms are separated for privacy. It has all of the comforts of home.

Fantastic stay!

Happy Acres is a wonderful property with all the amenities you need and is located in the most beautiful setting. It's so peaceful and we enjoyed both porches in the mornings and evenings. The stream with the little waterfall in the "backyard" added just the relaxation we were looking for. Everything about this stay went smooth and we would definitely stay here again, if we come back to this area.
