Charming Beach Cottage Only 100 yds from the beach

Charming beach cottage with 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths. The first bedroom is the Master Suite that has an attached bathroom, with a large tub and separate shower. Large 2nd bedroom has your own private entrance with ample storage space. The third bedroom has bunk beds, that the children will love! There is a full bathroom at the end of the hall with a shower/tub. The living area has two couches, including a sleep sofa. The suite includes new stainless steel appliances with granite counter tops. Off of the kitchen is a large farmhouse dining room table that seats 8. There is an outdoor shower, picnic table, and a charcoal barbecue grill for your use. Also provided is beach equipment, including cart, chairs, and umbrella . Front of property is lined with Palm trees. Our property has flower gardens and a vegetable garden.

Wonderful place to stay!!

The house had everything we needed to relax and enjoy our vacation. It was very clean and just a great place to stay. The very short walk to the beach was perfect too!! Not super close to the tourist attractions so it was wonderfully peaceful!

We had a great time at the beach in the house. We enjoyed the location north of the boardwalk and took several trips down. The beach access was great and we appreciated not having to cross any streets. The FiOS in house was also welcome and we didn't have any drops between the four of us.

Very, very nice stay - a short walk to the beach, and wonderful hosts - we forgot to empty a drawer of a few personal things and they found them and said they would mail them back to us. Very grateful for that. Full kitchen, laundry and just beautiful overall. It was a first floor level to a home rather than a separate cottage but even my teenage son said it was an awesome house to stay in. Thoroughly enjoyed our week there and wanted to stay much longer.

Relaxing beach vacation/stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cottage. The distance to the beach was ideal. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. The cottage offered everything that we needed and the online description was on point. Our stay there was just was we needed…quiet and relaxing. But it’s definitely close to all of the activities on the boardwalk. Can’t say enough good things about the owners and their communication as well as their helpfulness. Thank you for making our vacation special.

This property was perfect for our family’s needs. It is close to everything without being in the party area of Virginia Beach. Loved the outdoor shower to rinse off the sand after the beach. We will stay here again if it’s available next time we come to VA Beach.

The location and size of the property were exactly what we were looking for. If anything the beach was closer than expected, and was not very busy. The outdoor shower was great, and overall we were very happy with the stay.

Family getaway.

It was wonderful when we arrived to find a hot tub and the first thing we needed after a long drive was to dip into it but unfortunately it was not functioning, perhaps next time. sleeping quarters were cozy and comfortable also having a full functioning kitchen was a big relief for preparing breakfast and dinner.

Great location, close to the beach

Our family enjoyed our stay at this property and it was so close to the beach.This made it easy to come and go as we pleased. The cottage was also close to amenities such as restaurants and shops while still being a quiet location along with the north end beaches. During our visit the air conditioning was not cooling as well as desired; however, the property owner was going to call for service as soon as possible. Although the location was great, the furniture and seating could use some updating. Adding some ceiling fans would also help tremendously with comfort in the summer.

This is not a cottage. It is a multifamily duplex. The owners live on the upper floor, and the bottom is the rental. We had chosen this place thinking it was a single family house. We wanted a quiet home where our toddlers could get good naps and any nighttime crying wouldn’t disturb anyone. Disappointing.The kitchen is tiny and sparsely equipped. Makes cooking difficult.Outdoor shower area was a little cluttered and didn’t feel very private owing to it being a multifamily home.Cleanliness was ok.The location and beach were great.

Overall very happy with the location property. The space is charming and beautifully decorated. There was enough space for our family to gather for family time and spread out when we needed to. It's a quick walk to the beach that is easy enough to carry a beach chair and umbrella without issue-but the owners supplied a beach wagon for days when we needed to carry more things (cooler, toys, extra chairs, etc). It was convenient that it was close to the more touristy parts of Virginia Beach while being secluded and quiet at the same time.

Comfortable ground floor apartment with two queen bedrooms and one room with bunk beds. Only one parking space. Kitchen inadequately equipped for cooking large family dinners. A few steps to the best beach on the entire east coast. House would benefit from new beach chairs and a good beach cart. A wonderful block with a neighborhood feel.

One expensive lesson I have learned is to read the reviews posted, they definitely help when making your decision. The owners were friendly. Having a two family dwelling was not the kind of vacation I wanted. There was constant noise coming from above, from late at night to early morning hours. There is only one tv in the house and it didn’t work for half of the stay up until Thursday mid day, we checked in Monday afternoon. There is a jacuzzi/hot tub that doesn’t work, I noticed it didn’t work from a previous review, but was hoping it would have been working, no such luck. The location of the cottage is ideal, 100 yards from the beach, which is pretty private, this was the best part of the trip. Next time I will definitely read the reviews more closely and stay in a place that is single family dwelling. Especially for the money that I paid for this vacation.

My husband and I grew up in Va Beach. We have seen a lot of changes over the years. It has always been a family beach with so much to offer. With its pristine beaches, beautiful sunrises over the ocean and beautiful sunsets on the bay. We love being outdoors, riding bikes, surfing, boogie boarding, picnics and taking walks on our beautiful beach.

Why they chose this property

This property has been in my family for 50 years.
All the neighbors and their children met on the beach and spent long summer days enjoying the sun and ocean. I have fond memories of my childhood friends and learning to surf, playing all day in the sand dunes, and building sand castles. We had neighborhood barbecues and lots of fireworks.We wanted our children to have the same experience as we did.

What makes this property unique

It is so nice having the ocean in your backyard. Their is always so much to do. We like being active and this location has just that. There is a lot of places to bike, hike, their is swimming, surfing, etc. Sometimes on Saturday morning we decide to ride bikes for breakfast or have dinner on the boardwalk or maybe just pack a lunch for a day at the beach. We have free outdoor concerts and a beautiful Boardwalk starting on 40th street continuing to 1st street.
