The Blue Pelican Beach Rental is a new, ground level studio with a kitchen and full bathroom just 90 feet from the warm sands of Mission Beach, CA.

Located just off the bustling main drag of Mission Blvd., this unit is the perfect spot for a couple or solo traveler visiting for vacation, family event or in town on business. A complete tear down and remodel was just completed in 2022, so the space still feels new!

Brew fresh coffee and make breakfast in our brand new mini kitchen. Then, step off the patio and onto a laidback walkway. Turn west and feel sand beneath your feet in 30 seconds or head east towards walkable local shops, cafes, dining and night life.

Located within walking distance from Belmont Park (a local amusement park), The Blue Pelican Beach Rental is surrounded by buzzing night life, quaint coffee spots, beach shops, and the beautiful Pacific Ocean on one side and Mission Bay on the other.

Rent surfboards, paddle boards, and e-bikes on Mission Blvd and hop in an Uber for more adventures: we are 5 minutes from Sea World and 20 minutes from the San Diego Zoo and amazing museums in Balboa Park. Return home, store leftovers in our full-sized fridge, and enjoy the evening on the patio under the palm trees. Rest easy behind black out curtains in a brand new queen-sized bed and store your things in a walk-in closet.

Best of everything

I stayed at this studio with my husband and 3 year old son. We had the best time, we were beach front and had many restaurants at walking distance. We were close to many family friendly activities and had such a beautiful scenery. Communication was easy and the studio was very clean and provided many amenities (crucial for a family with a toddler).

Cute cozy studio in a great location

Had a short stay here with my teenager daughter. Everything was very clean. Hosts were friendly and easy to get a hold of. Love this neighborhood. Steps from the beach, food, and stores. I was able to find parking steps from the property on the strand way which was super convenient.

Perfect stay

We loved our stay here! The place was clean and cozy. The bed was comfortable, and we had everything we needed. We cooked everyday, and had a little trouble with the stove at first, but Ryan kindly came over to show us how to operate it. Their place is close to everything-the beach, restaurants, airport and train station. Restaurants and beaches are very close within walking distance. You do not need a car to stay here. We can’t wait to come back!

My stay at the Blue Pelican was absolutely amazing. The property was clean and beautiful and exactly as advertised. Lindsey and Ryan were wonderful hosts. I would recommend their property to anyone. I couldn't be more impressed!! Fantastic location, easy access to beach, shopping, restaurants, airport. Clean, comfortable. Newly constructed/updated. I didn't need anything but a bed and a bathroom, but this place had all the kitchen extras, towels, linens, TV, books, etc. Thank you to the hosts. An amazing location - turn to the left for 100 ft to the boardwalk/beach and to the right, 100 ft to Gauva Beach Bar (a Vikings Bar!). Didn't realize we had to buy our own toilet paper as there was only 1.5 roll for 5 days. Also, need to put down those ant traps as ants on the counter.
