Le Manoir, Normandy beaches stay

This is a fabulous property and the owners are wonderful.Very friendly and helpful. Colette left a jar of homemade apple jelly for us and surprised us with two more to take home after I mentioned how much we enjoyed it.Our two grandchildren loved the playground and the jacuzzi.We would highly recommend it as a place to stay to visit the beaches.

Manor accomodations in Normandy

Easy check in very nice accommodations. They had to push the center of activity. Also very close to all the landing beaches!

We were warmly welcomed by Daniel and Collette. Daniel showed us the many features. They provided Cider and homemade apple jelly as a welcoming gift.This property cannot be adequately described. The grounds are picturesque and beautifully manicured. There is a Coy Pond surrounded by lovely, fragrant flowers.The interior is just as amazing. The lower level has a true spa featuring a large hot tub, bar, showers and toilet. There is a bedroom just off of it with an en-suite bathroom.Upstairs features and large living area with well appointed kitchen and powder room. There are two bedrooms upstairs. The master has a lovely en-suite bathroom.The property is air conditioned 
.but you will not need it since there are large windows. In addition, there is a washer and dryer.This property is located about 10 minute drive from Bayeux in a lovely quiet rural area

Absolutely magnificent property.

The pictures don’t really do justice to to this property. Absolutely stunning accomodation in a beautiful settling. Owners were exceptionally easy to deal with and took the time to settle us in. Helpful and discreet. Stayed here with family and would highly recommend this property.

Simply superb

We absolutely loved our six days in this beautiful gĂźte tucked away in a picturesque Calvados village. The icing on the cake - the simply amazing jacuzzi just for us. The gĂźte is set in lovely grounds and the only sounds are from the hens. A car is essential and Bayeux with its tapestry and massive cathedral is about 4 miles away.

Perfect base for Normandy Landings exploration

The accommodation was perfect for the six of us. It was ideally situated in a village outside Bayeux - which has lots of supermarkets, bars and restaurants (as well as the Tapestry). It also afforded small distances to travel to many of the significant D-Day sights such as Longes sur Mer, Arromances, the British Normandy Memorial to name but a few. The furthest we had to travel was an hour to Utah beach. If you want to be able to walk to a bar or restaurant this is not the place, but for us it was perect to return to, to kick back, chill in the hot tub and plan the next day. The hosts were lovely and non intrisive There was one room woth ensuite on the ground floor, along with a spa, further showers and loo. There was also a fridge and freezer on the ground floor. Upstairs were a further two bedrooms, a bathroom and a further loo, along with kitchen diner. There was a washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, iron etc so all bases covered! The outside area had a bbq, table and chairs and loungers. It was beautiful and lovely to hear the birds singing amd cows mooing! Highly recommended.

Lovely but with issues

Beautiful, quiet, and peaceful property and surroundings. Loved the historic chateaux - very special, once in a lifetime experience. Nice to have convenient parking inside the compound. Kind and helpful hosts- very personable. Convenient to sites we wanted to see. Comfortable beds & living room furniture. Loved having the spacious kitchen and dining area. Mostly well-stocked kitchen. Enjoyed the spa. The issues were: toilet didn’t flush - but was fixed right away. Bad smell from WC and bathroom/ shower room, which was noticeable, strong and disturbing there and in the bedroom (with the purple quilt, upstairs.) Bedroom door upstairs wouldn’t stay closed- had to prop the chair against it. Frying pan was rusted and bent- unusable. Couldn’t figure out how to turn on the stove - would have appreciated written instructions.(oven was okay). #1 issue- not air conditioned as advertised, and we were often too warm. Only 1 portable air conditioner for 1 room, which required leaving window open to stick a huge vent through it, so we all were bitten by mosquitoes and bothered by flies. Fans helped but we expected it to be fully air conditioned. Sorry for these negatives- thought it would be helpful to pass along the information. We really had a nice time overall and appreciated our lovely hosts. Thank you!

What a fabulous stay! The house setting is peaceful and gorgeous, I wish we'd had more time to really spend here. The hosts are all lovely and very helpful. The rooms were comfortable with great AC - on the wall style, not in a window, which was a nice surprise. The separate bedroom in the pool house area downstairs was a good setup for our family, and the pool itself was a perfect way to relax at the end of the day. Absolutely recommend and hopefully will be back again ourselves one day!

Ein wundervolles Ferienhaus, wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. FĂŒr die Teenager war das Zimmer im Erdgeschoss perfekt gelegen, ĂŒber die Außentreppe war der weitere Wohn-/Essbereich erreichbar. Der Wellnessbereich war einfach toll, wir haben uns super entspannt. Besonders genossen haben wir den Gartenbereich mit dem Seerosenteich - traumhaft!! Haus und Gartenbereich werden mit viel Geschick und Liebe gestaltet. Danke fĂŒr die wunderbare Zeit an Cholette und Daniel!

Beautiful Country Estate

What a beautiful property! The garden, the pond, the home was stunning! We wish we could have spent more time enjoying the property. Our stay was fantastic. It was nice to spend a few nights in the Normandy countryside. The property is fantastic - well kept gardens and the lily pond were beautiful. We we able to prepare meals in the kitchen and use the laundry machines in the middle of 2.5 weeks in Europe, which helped us limit our bags.Thank you for the wonderful stay!

Excellent Stay for Exploring Normandy!

We had a wonderful stay at this vacation house, which is perfectly located for exploring the region's highlights such as Bayeux, Caen, and Omaha Beach. With a car, we could reach Honfleur and Deauville in about an hour and the iconic Mont Saint-Michel in approximately 90 minutes. The property itself is beautiful, well-maintained, and very inviting. The hosts were caring, discreet, and uncomplicated, making us feel truly welcome throughout our stay. The house perfectly matched its description and was spotlessly clean. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a comfortable and memorable visit to Normandy!

Rustgevend en schitterende locatie in Normandie !

GĂźte Le Manoir

Le gĂźte dans lequel nous avons sĂ©journĂ© Ă  5 personnes dont un enfant de 3 ans durant une semaine est trĂšs bien Ă©quipĂ© et situĂ© dans un trĂšs beau domaine, trĂšs bien entretenu et idĂ©alement situĂ©. Il nous semble judicieux de prĂ©ciser que le rez-de-chaussĂ©e, dans lequel se situe le spa et une chambre Ă  coucher, et l'Ă©tage ne communiquent que par un escalier extĂ©rieur. En effet, cela peut prĂ©senter un inconvĂ©nient ou un avantage en fonction de la typologie des vacanciers. Par ailleurs, si vous avez un enfant en bas Ăąge, l'aire de jeux ne lui sera autorisĂ©e que si les roulottes prĂ©sentes sur le terrain ne sont pas louĂ©es, pour des raisons Ă©videntes de tranquillitĂ© pour leurs occupants. Nous regrettons de ne pas avoir pu saluer Daniel lors de notre dĂ©part. En effet, nous avons dĂ» quitter le gĂźte prĂ©cipitamment car sommes partis Ă  10h15 au lieu de 10h00 (pas toujours Ă©vident d'ĂȘtre ponctuel avec un enfant de 3 ans!). Nous n'avons donc pas eu l'occasion de signaler aux propriĂ©taires que le frigidaire de l'Ă©tage n'est pas hermĂ©tique et goutte et que nous ne sommes pas certains d'ĂȘtre parvenus Ă  rĂ©gler le petit souci de fourmis volantes du spa malgrĂ© les bombes insecticides. Pour cette raison, la chambre du rez-de-chaussĂ©e n'a pu ĂȘtre occupĂ©e qu'une seule nuit et le bain Ă  remous, Ă  deux reprises uniquement. Rien de grave, cependant, ce sont les alĂ©as de la nature!

Un week-end dépaysant en Normandie

Accueillant, calme et trĂšs bien pensĂ©. Un groupe de 7 personnes : 6 adultes et mon fils. Nous sommes venus pour les cĂ©lĂ©brations des 80 ans du dĂ©barquement. L’emplacement est parfait, bayeux Ă  10 min, arromanches Ă  15 min. Les plages du dĂ©barquement Ă  un jet de pierre. C’était parfait. Et le lieu est paradisiaque et trĂšs bien pensĂ©. Nous nous sommes sentis chez nous tout de suite. Colette nous a accueilli et s’est adaptĂ©e Ă  notre horaire tardif. Elle nous a trĂšs bien conseillĂ© (restos) et est restĂ©e disponible durant notre week-end. Une chose est sĂ»r nous reviendrons. À faire et Ă  refaire

Relaxing

The property is serene. The outdoor area is huge. It has a Coi pond, kids play area , lounge chairs and is surrounded by fields in a small town. You do need a car as it is not near anything walkable. The house is well stocked for cooking and definitely a place for a larger group with or without kids. It has a bar area, large jacuzzi, outside grill. The entire property is surrounded by a stone wall. It has a homey feeling for sure! All tourist areas are 15- 45 minute drive.

Gite du Manior

Lovely gite in beautiful gardens. Hosts were so helpful and friendly. Perfect location for the Nomandie beaches. Lots of space in the gite. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Excellent Normandy gite

Stayed here over Easter as a base to visit the landing beaches, Bayeux etc. Very good rooms and peaceful location, only about 45 minutes from the ferry terminal. Owners very friendly and helpful. Hot tub is a bonus! Recommended.
