This is such a lovely place to stay! A gem in Santa Fe and a great deal for all you get. It was comfortable and beautiful - I loved spending mornings on the porch and evenings on the patio. It's close to the Santa Fe River trail, museums, hiking.... Lots of nature very close. Nancy's a great and experienced host. She respects your privacy and is very attentive.

Lovely, quiet casita
My husband and I stayed in Nancy Alexander's Chica Casita for the month of October, 2018, while at a bodywork training. We truly enjoyed our time there. The casita is gorgeously Old Southwest in design and feel, with lovely antique details, a beautiful working fireplace, and heated tile floors. The rooms are spacious and comfortably furnished, an easy place to relax. The queen bed was comfortable and the bedroom closets are large. The huge, quite amazing bathroom has doors directly to the bedroom and to the living room. The casita was clean and well-supplied with ordinary things when we arrived. We are not pet owners, and my husband has a pet fur allergy, so because Nancy allows dogs, we did extra cleaning when we arrived and that worked fine. The eat-in kitchen is workable, and has good appliances, though no dishwasher. That's made up for by a small, decent washer/dryer. The casita sits on the property of a larger gated home above Museum Hill in Santa Fe. Nancy is a great host — attentive to needs and not at all intrusive. It's a wonderfully quiet spot, a lovely hiking area, and a short 10 minute drive to the plaza. We've already reserved it for our next trip in the Spring. Highly recommend!

Magical and Serene
All needs are met in this fabulous casita. Easy, friendly and comfortable; nothing is left to chance as the owner is gracious, available and kind beyond expectation. One "lives" here and has access to the best of Santa Fe either by auto or on foot. It was truly a home for me complete with lovely Mika, the beautiful German Shepherd who became my reading companion for morning coffee and sunrise on the east deck. I was here often enjoying the butterflies, hummingbirds and flowers of the garden while watching the cloud formations above the mountains at sunrise & sunset.
The bedroom is spacious and the bed is very comfortable. There is abundant closet and bureau space. The bathroom is astounding, large and bright. I enjoyed the gas stove of the well organized kitchen. The sitting room is comfortable, with a fireplace, writing desk and eclectic comfortable furnishings. Absolutely nothing was lacking.
I walked to concerts at the nearby college, walked down the street to the galleries and restaurants of Canyon Road and walked to the Plaza. Additionally, I hiked mountain trails with MEET UP groups all within 15 - 45 minutes drive time of this home. Day trips to Los Alamos, Taos and Pecos were simple and fun. The Opera House and ski slopes are a quick drive as well.
This is, by far, the best VRBO I've visited, for attention to detail and having staple needs met without the necessity of rushing to find a grocer upon arrival. It is also the most secure I've ever felt in a VRBO. My return trip is booked for 2016!

another wonderful stay in this casita compound
This small compound of casitas is a wonderful way to experience Santa Fe. We stayed in a different casita in this lovely place on the historic eastside in 2012, and couldn't conceive of staying anywhere else after such a great time. The owners were helpful and friendly, and the location in a protected compound on an eastide hill with views of the mountains and the city couldn't be beat. Fortunately, for this trip, another casita was available in the same old adobe house, and it did not disappoint. This old adobe was so cool without AC in the summer, and the views and breezes were wonderful. We watched the sunset from the kitchen window every evening. It was quite a treat to walk out the back gate and be on an access trail for hiking on the Dale Ball trails. Santa Fe, for us, is about the interplay between indoor charm and enchanting outdoor spaces, and this small compound provides beautiful patios, gardens and portales as well as lovely interiors, decorated in quintessential Santa Fe style by the owner. The owners are always available but never intrusive. The gated compound makes you feel safe and comfortable, and guests have the opportunity to interact but plenty of privacy as well. I will stay with these lovely people in this beautiful place whenever I need a place to stay in Santa Fe.

Historic Adobe Casita
This is a great casita in a unique Santa Fe neighborhood with a wonderful, accommodating owner who will make sure you have everything you need. One of the best in-city trail systems in the Southwest is right outside the door and we could walk down to the Plaza on a variety of routes through the most interesting historic neighborhoods. The casita is a beautifully remodeled adobe house with great patio space and views of the valley.
