About this property
Northern Bliss Cabin near Wilderness State Park & Mackinaw
Northern Bliss cabin is in the middle of the nowhere, but close to everything. This is right on the southern boundary of Wilderness State Park. This nearby park offers miles of Lake Michigan shoreline, hiking trails and thousands of acres of unspoiled wilderness to explore. It's only about 15 miles to Mackinaw City/Mackinac Island ferries for plenty of fun activities, dining options and shopping. It's also only 3 miles to Sturgeon Bay to enjoy some of the best scenic dunes and sandy beaches on Lake Michigan.
There are 2 bedrooms upstairs, one with a queen sized bed and one with two twin beds. The kitchen offers plenty of room for preparing meals and the dining area has seating for 4. Clean linens and towels are provided at check-in. We recommend bringing your own beach towels and blanket if you'll be enjoying a day at the beach.
The cabin is on a private road with a 10 acre lot in the northern hardwoods. It offers modern amenities including high speed wi-fi internet, streaming tv, a fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove, and full bathroom. There is a cozy wood burning stove inside, charcoal and gas grill, and a fire pit out back to enjoy an evening campfire under the stars. An outdoor cedar sauna was recently installed right off of the back deck. It's a perfect place to relax and warm up on a cool night after a fun day in Northern MI.
Less than 5 miles away is McGulpin Point Lighthouse and the Headlands International Dark Sky Park- a property recent designated as one of only six International Dark Sky parks in the nation -- making it a bastion for stargazers.
Bring your kayaks or canoe to explore O'Neal Lake. Access to this small wilderness lake is only a mile from the cabin. There are no homes on this lake, just an abundance of wildlife including bald eagles, osprey, loons, hawks & more.
Please let us know if you have any questions. We hope to see you soon. Thank you!

A perfect stay! Cabin was very comfortable, very clean and in a very quiet location, yet so perfectly close to Wilderness State Park, Sturgeon Bay dunes and the International Dark Sky Park. Mike was extremely quick responding and very clear with all instructions. We enjoyed the fire pit (perfect set up!) and sauna, and touches like the hanging baskets and chair at the entrance just made us feel right at home. Highly recommend staying here! Our dog didn't want to leave :)
Very comfortable and clean cabin in a beautiful setting! Would definitely recommend this to my friends!

This place was the perfect getaway! Cozy, adorable little cabin tucked in the woods. Great communication from host. Highly recommend if you’re looking for some peace and quiet!
Cozy, peaceful, secluded, dog friendly. Cabin was very clean on arrival. Enjoyed having the wood stove for the cold nights during our stay. Lots of activities to do with little drive time.
We loved this cabin! The cabin is secluded in a beautiful location close to several hiking trails, scenic locations, and nearby towns. The cabin itself was the perfect size, cozy yet spacious, and was clean and equipped with everything we needed. Highly recommend!
We had a great time staying here at the cabin. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed for our little family. We recommend checking out ONeal Lake, Sturgeon Bay and going in the sauna :)
The property is well maintained and as described. We enjoyed hiking trails in the area. The cabin is set on a quiet road. The large window and doorwall provide great view of the surrounding woods. We hope to return next year!

Nice, clean cabin just a short drive from Mackinaw city. Has everything you need plus Nice sauna, we liked the privacy but still not to far from town. Would stay here again if in the area.

We very much enjoyed our stay and Mike was always available for any questions. Beautiful cabin amongst mature trees. If you were looking for a quiet getaway, this is a great place for you!
The cabin is in a serene, wooded setting where we regularly heard the songs of loons and many other birds--but did not hear motors. It was a wonderful escape from the noise of city living. The cabin accommodations were clean and comfortable, and we were thrilled that it was dog friendly. The host was exceedingly helpful, responsive, welcoming, and kind! The location was excellent for our purposes, visiting the nearby state and local parks.
Great property that surpassed my expectations! Clean, cozy, well stocked, private, yet close for great day trips. Would highly recommend to anyone that asked!
