Our Lakefront Retreat

Enjoy our year-round house on stunning Lake Memphremagog, spanning over 31 miles from Newport, Vermont to Magog, Quebec.
This waterfront property offers a private dock, with limited access to a sandy beach, and breathtaking sunrises and sunsets.

Summer Highlights:

Relax on the lake with paddle boards, kayaks, canoes, and life jackets.
Grill outdoors and enjoy evenings by the fire pit.
Explore the lake's vibrant fishing scene.


Cozy up by the fireplace (winter only) with a good book or enjoy live music on the baby grand piano.
Embark on snowmobile adventures or cross-country skiing directly from the property.
Accommodations:

5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms (2 full, 2 half)
Sleeps up to up to 10 comfortably (based rate for 6 guests, additional fees for more than 6)
Modern amenities including Wi-Fi, smart TVs, and fully equipped kitchen, all sheets adn linnens provided for up to 10 guests, more available on request if notified at time of booking.

Rates & Policies:

Rates based on 3 bedrooms being used with up to 6 guests total for duration of stay
Minimum 4 to 6 nights occupation/ stays (vary by season)
- Additional guests above 6 add $15/night per person (up to 10), then additional $30/night per person if above 10 (11-14) maximum 14 guests can stay during any booking (maximum 8 adults, 7 children (over 1 year old))
Extra room fee: $70/room used if above 3 bedrooms used (up to $140/stay additional room charge)
Sunday checkout: $75 fee

Note: Children under 1 year old are not included in guest count so are free.

Check-out instructions

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
house cleaning takes up to 8 hours we ask that guests complete their check out & depart by 9:00 AM. This will allow time to fully clean & prepare this large house for next arrivals by 5:00 PM.
Strip all beds & leave sheets, duvet covers, pillowcases on floor of each bedroom where used. Bathrooms: Leave all towels on the floor of eache bathroom & used dish cloths & rags kitchen sink
If so inclined, start a washing of all bath & beach towels use warm water and high spin speed Kitchen:
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Dog & cats OK, $260 each pet, pet damage charged to renters. Limit 2 dogs or cats unless separate permission. Declare pets when making reservation.
Full safety and house rules available prior to checking in
Rate based on 6 guests (age 1yr + is a guest) in 3 rooms, add $15 per guest/night 7 to10 and $30/guest night 11 to 14. (14 is with 4 cars max allowed)

Amazing view. House was clean and warm, and is much larger than it looks from the main photo. We really enjoyed the updated kitchen and made good use of the new washer/dryers. Mike the host was excellent, and even made the garage available for us to park cars.

We love this Newport property! Our family has been vacationing here for 5 years and our children and grandchildren have many wonderful memories from our stays.The house is lovely, comfortable and well equipped and the location and views are spectacular! Great Lake Vacation

The house was very nice and updated. Great place for our family of 6 + 1 small dog and our boat. The lake is beautiful and clean. Great for wakeboarding, tubing and fishing. Took a nice day trip to montreal as well.

Family vacation #4 at Newport house

We love everything about this house! The location and the view are spectacular, and the house accommodates our large group of 15 comfortably. It’s clean and equipped with everything we need. The outdoor space is incredible with a large lawn for the kids and a fire pit, and lots of water toys at our disposal. We have made so many wonderful memories at this property!

Very nice, recently renovated lake house

Property was exactly as shown on the site, right on the water, lovely views of the lake out the living room and kitchen windows. 5 bedroom layout worked well, beds were comfortable, linens spotless. Bonus points for having a leaf for the dining room table so all 9-10 of us could eat at the same table!

We had family in Newport growing up and came back to visit from different states after forty years away. Our time in Mike’s home was relaxing and convenient to all the places that we wanted to visit. The house is beautifully appointed, very spacious and right on the lake.

Great stay for family get together

Location and house were great for our needs. We had a family get together to handle some difficult family business. This location was great as there was enough space for many to stay. Good shared spaces for family meetings and discussions, and nice quiet hideaways for some private time. The views of the lake were great and a nice recharge. Thank you.

Great location, not far from Jay Peak. Down the road from all the stores, restaurants, etc. however far enough away to feel you are in the country. The view on the lake is beautiful. Hiking across the street. Very comfortable property. It must be spectacular in the summer!

We were in town for my son's wedding. Family from all around the country joined us for our stay at the house. The location was beautiful (right on the lake), and the house was perfect for our needs. The perfect location right on the shores of the lake with spectacular views. The house was comfortable and spotlessly clean. The outside included lawn furniture and a fire-pit. There were bikes, a kayak and a canoe. We plan to return!

A return to a favorite place

My large family made our third trip back to the Newport house. We love the beautiful location and gorgeous views, and the house accommodates us all very nicely. It’s clean,spacious and equipped with everything we need, and the large lawn and waterfront provide lots of entertainment for the kids. There’s great biking and hiking trails nearby,and we enjoyed a trip into Magog, Canada this year. This us a special place for all of us, and we hope to return.

Our Stay at the Space House

This was our first time staying at the Space House and it certainly will not be our last. The house has an amazing location at the south end of Lake Memphremagog with a paneramic view of the lake and mountains that is just spectacular. The house was immaculate and the amenities and accomodations exceeded our expectations. Our host. Michael was outlasting, he shared the history of the house with us and made sure our stay was very enjoyable.

The property is wonderful! The house is large, well appointed, and exceptionally comfortable. The property is right on the lake and the kitchen and living room have a beautiful view of the lake. I have been to Newport several times and have fallen in love with the area. This has been my favorite place to stay so far. The property owner is very communicative and leaves clear instructions. I would love to visit again.

Great house in a nice little town.

Perfect house for our ski trip to beautiful Jay Peak Vermont. House is very large and clean, plenty of room for 2 families. Jay Peak is about 30 minutes away, and the town of Newton has some nice restaurants, great grocery stores, and everything you could need close by . The house is right on the water and would be beautiful place to stay in the summer as well! It is a perfectly preserved time capsule from the 1960’s- 1970’s, but everything is so well cared for and you have all the amenities you could need. We would definitely stay again!
