Detached villa in Les Mathes with private heated pool - Villa Cachée (Sleeps 10)

Jayne and Andrew welcome you to their detached villa on the outskirts of Les Mathes.

The villa is perfectly located for your holiday in the Charente Maritime. We are 900m from Les Mathes centre with it's boulangerie, bar, market, and brand new Super U supermarket (2026) and 10 minutes (6km) from the lovely seaside resort of La Palmyre with it's wide variety of bars and shops. Large supermarkets are also just 10 minutes away in Arvert and La Tremblade.

The coast here offers miles and miles of sandy beaches, forest trails and activities for all members of the family. For children of all ages, July and August sees the opening of the seasonal fair 'Luna Park' which is a simple 8 minute drive away.

The large seaside resort of Royan is 11 miles away with La Rochelle airport 48 miles away, just over an hour dependent upon traffic.

The villa rests at the end of our private driveway and is almost hidden from the quiet road - hence the name Villa Cachée (Hidden Villa) This is our retreat in France and accordingly our guests will find everything they need for a relaxing family holiday - because that's what we want from our holiday home.

We have 4 bedrooms. A family bedroom with a double bed and bunk beds, and 3 doubles, one of which has air conditioning. All the double beds have comfortable pocket sprung mattresses and there is a large wardrobe in each bedroom. The family bedroom benefits from French windows that open directly onto the patio. The family bedoom is self contained with it's own ensuite shower room, tea / coffee making facilities and an air conditioning unit.

The accommodation also has 2 fully equipped modern shower rooms besides the en-suite in the family room.

The large 32m2 open plan living area incorporates a fully equipped kitchen (oven, hob, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge / freezer, microwave) dining area with table and 8 chairs, and sitting area with 2 large 4-seater sofas. The living area also benefits from an air conditioning unit.

We have a 55" UHD Smart TV (With UK satellite non-premium Channels) and access to french channels (Via SmartTV apps). In addition we have a playstation games console.

The villa also benefits from free WIFI (Router located in living area).

We have additional electric fans for each room and the air conditioning units can provide heating for those visiting the villa during the cooler months.

Outside we have secure parking for at least 3 cars, a large tiled patio area for alfresco dining. The patio extends around the swimming pool and we have 10 sun loungers around the pool. The private, 8m x 4m, pool is heated and is available from 1st of May to the end of September. It has a level floor approx. 1250mm deep making it ideal for playing games.

Bed linen and towels can be provided at an additional cost via the agency that looks after the villa for us.

Post stay cleaning is included in the cost of rental.

The minimum rental period during peak periods is a week, off peak we can be more flexible.
