Thank you for the kind review. We love that quiet (and safe) little cove as well. Hope you visit with your extended family again in the future.
It rained on us almost the entire time so we really didnāt get to experience the lake or outside amenities much. Would love to try it again under better circumstances.

We certainly hope your less than stellar rating was due to the weather and not our property. We wish you could have enjoyed more of the lake with better weather. We hope that means youāll return to give the lake and our home another go.
If you are looking for a property that is lake front and quiet and has lots of bedrooms. This is the one! The location in the lake is wonderful and enjoyable for all types of water activities. We fed fish, swam, paddle boarded, and kayaked. The kitchen and dining room are small but there is a lot of outdoor seating that makes up for it. It was by far one of the best stocked kitchens Iāve rented. It was the perfect location for a few casual days away with my family. Highly recommend.
We loved staying at your house on the lake. It was a great location and we loved the water in the cove and getting in to cool off and swim. We hung out on the deck most of the time and the view with the trees is beautiful. We slept great, the beds were very comfortable. The place was clean and had everything we needed. We rented a boat on one of the days and the marina was only 5 min away. We had a wonderful time staying here and we will be back. Thank you.

Sounds like a lovely time enjoying the lake. Im so glad you also had a chance to get out on the open water as well. We hope to host you again in the future.
Small but mighty is how i would describe this sweet cabin on the lake. Every corner was dripping with thoughtful touches to make sure our visit was top notch. So much to offer for outdoor activities; darts, horseshoes, canoe, row boat, fishing poles, and a double covered dock if you bring your boat. And a wonderful hammock for lazy summer afternoon naps. Inside was stocked with everything you could think you might need. I didn't need to use half the stuff i brought because they had it! Would highly recommend, and will probably be back next year. Also need to mention, they are dog friendly, very dog friendly... their spacious deck has 2 gates, so you can let your dog stay outside with you and not worry about him running off. Stop searching for another property and book this one!!
We loved this house. It is very tranquil and peaceful. Fully stocked and layed out very well for a 4 bedroom. Not a big house but has all you need an the layout works very well. Comfortably fits 8 people. We would definitely rent again.

Your review seemed to hit upon the things we love about the house as well. Iām so happy you found everything enjoyable. Look forward to hosting you again!
Lovely house in a quiet cove. Plenty of room for a family of six. The kitchen was clean and well stocked. We enjoyed fishing and the house is an easy trip to Clemson.
We had a great time during our 3 night stay. My two boys love fishing so this was the perfect place for us. We went hiking and fishing in the multiple streams that were just a short drive away. They loved having access to the kayak and caught a few nice bass from it. Having Publix 3 mins away was also a plus. Overall it was the perfect place for what we needed.
Such a great place! We will be back when we come to Clemson.

We are beyond happy that you liked our home and took great care of it while you visited. We look forward to hosting you on your future visits to Clemson.
Overall the cabin worked out fine.Didn't like that the kayak and canoe were not cleaned. Also, we expected a paddle boat. If the website mentioned there wasn't a paddle boat anymore we missed it. All and all we would be happy to rent again.
We will definitely be booking this property again. We usually have family gathering inJanuary and I think this will be our new location. It accommodated those lodging with us and who came to visit while we were there. The flow of the house and outdoors was so convenient especially for our large gathering when we roasted oysters.

We are so thrilled you enjoyed your visit and we are happy to have your family return. The oyster roast looked amazing. You may end up with a surprise guest for your next oyster roast!! š
Fantastic location, beautiful part of the lake, home very clean and well stocked with almost anything one could need on vacation. We really enjoyed swimming off of the dock and using the kayak provided as well. We had a wonderful time and also very much appreciate our hosts being so responsive to our needs/questions.
House was ideal. Quiet neighborhood, great access to the lake and marina. House was very functional and the grounds well kept. Absolutely going to return next year.

About the host
Hosted by Karl & Erika Hoehne
We live in Asheville, NC, less than a 2 hour drive away. When the kids were young we called it "one Disney movie away". We love to be on the water and our families favorite thing to do is a sunset cruise on a warm evening to watch the sun go down over the lake.
Why they chose this property
We have always been drawn to the water and used to camp frequently on the lake. We would load up our boat, tent and dog and spend the weekends decompressing from stressful jobs in Asheville. When our first child was born, we realized very quickly that tent camping was not as enjoyable anymore and decided it was time to set some more permanent roots. This house was begging for us to reinvent it. So, up for the challenge, we bought this diamond in the rough. We lovingly took it apart and over the first few years spent our weekends putting it back together. It is the perfect blend of cozy rooms, open views and comforts of home.
What makes this property unique
This cozy little cottage has everything you need. It has enough space but not too much that you feel "disconnected" from your family. Deep waters and little boat traffic make it the perfect place to spend the day in the water swimming, floating or having jumping contests off the dock. If you start to feel a little water logged, enjoy an afternoon nap on the hammock under the canopy of the trees or challenge the kids to a friendly competitive game of horseshoes. Taking an outside shower after a day in the sun is the perfect way to wrap up a long day on the lake.
