This house is in a great location to explore. Host was responsive and very helpful. The house was very nice and in a quiet location which was nice for relaxing after a long day of exploring! Would definitely stay here again.
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay and felt quite grateful for the amenities and atmosphere. The surrounding area is very quiet and near a beautiful cove. I particularly loved the wildflowers along the driveway! We highly recommend this place!
very nice house with 3 bedrooms upstairs, a large and well equipt kitchen, grill outside on a nice property and - best of all - very friendly neighbours.
The location was perfect for our family of 6 to gather for Lobsterfest, and explore local communities. The directions and household instructions were detailed, which I appreciate. The kitchen offered everything we needed. The only bathroom was large but I was concerned about just having one with our large group so I brought a portapotty. We never used it. If I had to note any improvements it would be better bedding and pillows but that's nitpicking. For the price, location, and owner communication and preparedness, this is hard to beat!
We really enjoyed this house as it made a great jumping off point for exploring lots of the area but was very quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed a few nice walks in the neighborhood as well. It was nice to have AC as our last day was quite warm.
The house was very clean and well equipped. The furnishings were comfortable and air conditioners which were necessary because of the weather were adequate for the space. The only negative was on a couple of afternoons it seemed like there was something up with the septic system. We noticed a unpleasant odor for a short period of time and it then disappated. If not for that I would have given the house 5 stars.
The property was exactly as advertised. Very quaint and comfortable. Beautiful area with scenic roads in every direction. Short drives to many of the small communities in the area.
Overall excellent
This is the most beautiful area. The house was perfect for our needs. The linens were clean, and the kitchen was well stocked. The stove is amazing, and the new washer/dryer unit works fantastic. We didn’t have any problems with hot water. It was warm enough and there was plenty of it. I especially enjoyed drinking my morning coffee on the rocking chair love seat on the front porch listening to the bees busy collecting nectar from the wildflowers. So many beautiful wildflowers!! The host was very quick to answer any questions and provided a lot of information about things to do in the area. Will definitely book again!!
While the house was recently remodeled and very clean, the washcloths were very badly stained, the front door light was out. The sheets were flimsy polyester and the fitted sheet slipped off the mattress every night on the Queen sized bed. Easily correctable. It would also be helpful if a grab bar was secured at the bathtub for elderly and disabled guests to enter and exit the shower. Great house with lots of old features.

It was fine
All bedrooms are on 2nd floor. Might be important to update that for older people.
Lots of charges for cleaning but washing machine had a pair or dirty underwear in it, and lots of cobwebs & spiders everywhere. Yard wasn’t mowed until 2nd day & then was so long & wet so we kept tracking in & having to vacuum. Wish the path was clear to water since there isn’t anything nearby
We stayed five days as part of the second leg on a 13 day trip to Maine. I had been in the Friendship area before and loved it. I wanted a good base for my wife and our dog to use to cover the area.
First the basics - the house was clean and reasonably well equipped for our stay. We cook, so we travel with less common kitchen accessories and that worked out well. The kitchen and den were very livable. There were three nice bedrooms upstairs - each with an air conditioning unit. The one problem with the layout is the bathroom was in the rear corner of the house on the main floor - the furthest distance possible from the bedrooms. That may or may not make a difference.
The kitchen, wifi, and television were all relatively new - and we had no issues with technology or using any of the related items. There was a washer and a dryer listed on the description. The washer was out of order and had towels and bleach from a prior attempt to run it. The dryer required the use of blue painters tape to keep the door shut so it would operate. This was a bigger deal for us because we were a week into a trip and had counted on washing clothes. We wish we had known so we could have washed clothes before arrival.
The location was good for exploration of the area. We made daily trips to Friendship Harbor and Wallace Lobster for fresh lobster. We bought fresh strawberries and jam from the small stand nearby.
Overall we like the house and would return.

Getting to the property was a breeze and the way in you’ll find views of the beautiful cove. The property itself doesn’t really have a driveway and the grass was just cut so without any walkway or driveway you track grass inside the home. Nice to have to grass cut but drawback is sweeping constantly. The home itself is nicely updated but the outside definitely comes inside. I spent time cleaning spiders, ants, German roaches and ladybugs. The ladybugs don’t really bother any of us but the other pests were overwhelming having a toddler and pets. The home was well stocked in terms of the kitchen and bathroom. Drawback is bathroom is on the first level. The beds in the two rooms with single beds were comfy. The couch was not, very narrow and it’s in front of a beam which you will definitely bump your head on. Generally for a floor plan so small there is too much furniture in the living room. The house didn’t seem refreshed and cleaned as the floors, carpet, and hard surfaces weren’t clean as expected. The dog crate came in handy and was very convenient for pets. The power went out during our stay and we communicated with the hosts but didn’t get a call back until a few hours later. Grateful the power wasn’t out long. Neighborhood was quiet at night but the street was much busier than we expected. Also We were not expecting to travel all the way up to Maine and stay across from a flying confederate flag. Best part was Moody’s Diner and the drive to Rockland. Would not return.

To be clear we do not and never had roaches. We addressed the power outage quickly due to a storm with Central Maine Power.
This house is completely done over and is very comfortable. There is a nice yard which is great since the house truly is dog friendly. We enjoyed our stay.
The house was very clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed including A/C units when it was hot. Spacious eat-in kitchen , living room with big tv. The area is so fun to explore—small, quiet beaches, cute towns, great seafood. Loved going up to Rockland and down to Damariscotta. Can’t wait to go back again!.
We had a wonderful stay in Waldoboro. The home is charming, clean and well stocked with anything you could possibly need. It is a charming home and much nicer than how it appears in the listing photographs. The property is lovely with lots of room for our children to run about. It's a wonderful location to visit the many nearby quaint seaside towns and attractions.
When visiting, be sure to get outside on a clear night and look at the sky. The stars are brilliant without the usual light pollution many of us are accustomed to. I even saw a shooting star for the first time!
The hosts are responsive, kind and accommodating. They helped make our visit to Maine special and memorable.
We were very excited to be going back to Maine after 3 years of non travel. When I was researching places to stay we had decided not a hotel, motel, or resort. We wanted a more relaxed experience so a house was the place of choice. I can say we were very happy with the choice of places. The house was very cute and roomy, there were 4 adults in our party. The beds were a little different then what we are used to but comfortable. The kitchen was equipped enough for our needs, with all the dishes, pans, utensils that we required. The shower was a little disappointing as the water temp. was warm and never got hot. The BBQ was adequate but I would recommend the owner consider replacing it. The location was nice and very quiet but a little far out for easy access to attractions but good if you stayed in the area for fun. Entry into the house was easy as we receive an email with all the info a few days before departure. The only other thing I would say would be I wished there had been a path down to the water as there was too much overgrown bush to navigate. Overall we had a great and relaxing time in Waldoboro.
Great property with better than expected finishes. If you hike/bike there are multiple trails to hit up nearby. If you are here for beaches, lighthouses or restaurants, this is not the property for you. It takes at least 15 min to get anywhere resembling civilization, and tho it may appeal to those that want the tranquity and peace associated with that, this property was not well-suited for our trip.
This was a great stay for a long weekend with family. Home is spacious, furniture comfortable, very large yard on a quiet street. Not far from cute towns and waterfront. Be sure to hit Moody's Diner while you're here!
We enjoyed our stay in this quiet, comfortable and very clean home. The kitchen and bathroom are quite spacious with a comfortable living area that easily seats six. Bedrooms are private and comfortable. This was an off the beaten path, enjoyable property.
We had a great time in mid-coastal Maine & while we didn’t spend a lot of time at the house, we certainly enjoyed it. Had to spend a good half hour cleaning spiders, insects & webs from most rooms when we first arrived, but that was a minor irritation.
