Great views and location

Pros-Condo was clean and well maintained.The view was awesome! Waking up to the sounds of crashing waves was the best. Short drive to grocery stores,restaurants,airport,Quiet beach for long walks. Cons- living room couches are old and not comfortable,not something you want to relax in after a long day of island activities.They're workable.Also it gets a little windy in the afternoon but not a deal breaker. Overall-Really enjoyed our stay and will come back in the future.

great place to stay!

The unit was fabulous. really appreciated the lights on and the air since we came in so late, even had emergency coffee for the morning and cold water in the fridge. Did have a smoker in the unit under us who smoked in the morning and night, the smoke came right into our unit. Called management many times and finally got it stopped.

Right on the beach!

Love this condo! We wanted to be right on the beach so we could walk to it easly and we were right there! Worth the extra amount to beable to whale and people watch from our balcony. I broke my knee right after Christmas and was still able to use this condo without much problems The 3 stps up to vonfo was the only real issue i had but we brought crutches for that. The staff really was expedient in every way we needed them....we will go back here when we come and visit again!

Great Kihei Stay

Super happy with the experience. Cooked and Ate all meals outside on lanai overlooking the ocean. Grilled every evening downstairs. The beach is great for walks but the water was a little cloudy for snorkeling. Watched several swimming and body surfing in the ocean. Sunsets are all breathtaking. Central location between our favorite snorkeling area, Black Rock (35 minutes) up north and our next favorite Makena Landing (20 minutes) south. Dishwasher, washer/drier all worked great and we worked them hard. Bed was very comfortable. Didn’t watch TV once. We never go back to the same place twice, but we are temped for next year.

Absolutely Amazing

Just returned from Maui, Jan 14/17 spent the first week in Kaanapali at the Sheraton, no comparison to the condo. This was our first time to Hawaii. The condo has everything, we checked in and were met inside the condo to go over where and how everything worked. We had it all, air conditioning, comfortable bed, all conveniences and the view was breath taking. The sunset from your lanai is pretty special, and the sound of the waves so peaceful. The pool is warm and the hot tub wont disappoint. The grounds are kept up, lots of loungers, and the BBQ's are cleaned every morning. If you like long walks on the beach this area is great, if you want to try paddle boards or other ocean equipment they rent them right on sight as well as arrange your tours for you. Totally awesome!! We will return, Mahalo

Perfect

This place is great. We had family stay at sugar beach 10+ years ago and while we were in a more expensive hotel down south, we liked this place exponentially more. Location is great for what we wanted. Several of the other units below had remodel work being done and loud guests nearby, but it really wasn't a big deal unless you were on the deck. Unit is very sound proof. Hide a bed worked wonderfully and the appliances were all well needed and used. The wifi had a range of about two feet from the router, but I wasn't worried about it.. we're in maui so get off your phone and enjoy the area. Our kid loved the pool and shallow / calm waters of the ocean. We will definitely be back unless we somehow end up buying our own condo someday. Property management company was easy to work with and while we didn't need much assistance, they were certainly there if anything came up.

Location, Location

This unit is in a very nice complex on Sugar Beach. Very dramatic views of the ocean from the lanai. While the kitchen is a bit small, it was very well stocked for cooking needs. The bedding is a bit dated, flat pillows and an older comforter, which should be replaced. There was mold in the shower that had not been taken care of prior to our arrival which I am sure is difficult to avoid in a humid environment but housekeeping should focus on that. The unit itself is very cozy and we loved hearing the crashing of waves day and night. The complex itself and amenities are very nice and the staff at the front desk were very helpful. Oh, and the safe was a nice feature if you had valuables. The complex appeared very safe so we did not feel the need. If we return to Maui we would consider renting this unit or another one in the complex. Thanks for allowing us to stay at Sugar Beach Resort!
