Located in a safe, quiet Albuquerque neighborhood with sidewalks, lush trees, and green grass—a true rarity—guests are just minutes from a park and playground, Highway 40, grocery stores, and the airport.

The property features two homes connected by a garage: the front home is 3,700 sq. ft. & has 4 bdrms and 4.5 bthrms
the back home is 3,200 sq. ft. and has 3 bdrms and 3 bthrms
The homes are completely seperate from each other. This listing is the back home. They both can be rented out by seperate guests or if a large party, by one group. Originally built by the owner's parents as a retirement home, the back house includes custom luxury finishes and thoughtful accessibility features such as an elevator, wide hallways and doorways, walk-in shower, lift chair, and stepless entry.

The backyard is an entertainer’s dream with an adjustable basketball hoop, hammock, two water features, a sunken trampoline with safety netting and double jump surface, a gas firepit, and gated access to open space with hiking and biking trails. The covered balcony off the master bedroom and kitchen features a four-person hot tub, Weber grill, and stunning views of mountains, wildlife, and trail activity.

Guests enter the back home via a personalized smart lock code and can use the elevator or stairs to reach the main living areas. Upstairs, two king bedrooms each have en-suite bathrooms, heated floors, and mountain views. The open-concept living, dining, and kitchen areas are bright and spacious, with panoramic vistas. The fully equipped kitchen includes stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and heated floors. The living room offers two leather couches, a gas fireplace, and a Samsung smart TV with Centurylink wi fi to stream your favorite shows.

The lower level provides endless entertainment with a game room featuring a pool table & drum set. Sliding doors open to the basketball court. Down the hall is a third bedroom and bathroom. This bedroom includes a king bed, large leather reading chair, pull-out sofa bed with gel mattress, a dedicated workspace, coffee pot, microwave, mini fridge, and sliding glass doors with phantom screens to enjoy the nearby water feature. The bathroom features a rock-surfaced shower, removable showerhead, and granite countertops.

This is an outstanding property with wonderful hosts. It includes all amenities and beautiful views all around. Although we were incredibly busy preparing for my youngest daughter's wedding, we felt like we were on vacation. This stay was such a great experience we would recommend this location and these hosts to others.

The accommodations more than met our expectations. The location was perfect and we were able to hike right out the back gate. Views from the balcony were relaxing and made for a beautiful sunrise. We enjoyed the hot tub almost every day and all of the special touches in the house made our stay terrific. The pictures don't give you the full layout of the home so you have to see it in person to appreciate the views and the amenities.

We loved the home! Remember you do enter the home to a downstairs hallway and office then rest of the home is upstairs. There is an elevator for luggage! Home is beautiful, right up against the mountain with hiking trails, and very quiet. Kitchen was easy to work in. Lovely stay.

Spacious home with great access to trails

We had a fantastic spring break. The home offers plenty of space and lots of amenities. The pool table and TVs gave us things to do while chilling at the house and a gate in the backyard offers direct access to miles of beautiful trails for hiking or biking. We felt comfortable with our teens exploring on their own or going on family rides and hikes. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Our stay at this home was definitely 5 stars! The location was easily accessible to anywhere in Albuquerque. The home was beautifully decorated inside and out. The host truly did think of everything a family might or would need during their stay. The host kept in contact to ensure we had everything we needed throughout the week.There were games to play, a piano, pool table, jacuzzi, and beautiful trials to hike right behind the house. The sunsets and views of Albuquerque from the house were gorgeous.If we ever get back to Albuquerque, we hope this home will be available for our stay! We absolutely loved it! Great stay at base of Sandia mountains

We had a great time in a very comfortable home with my family (2 adults and 2 kids). The hiking is literally accessible from the backyard and we hiked a 6.5 mile up and back with great south and east views. The home also had nice views of the mountains from the second floor main living area as well as a pool table and outdoor basketball hoop which kept the kids entertained. The host was very responsive and helpful. Thanks for a great stay!

Great house with piano and access to trails

We had a wonderful stay at this gorgeous property. It was awesome to walk out the back gate and onto trails heading up into the foothills. We loved having a piano to play. Each of the three bedrooms is large and comfortable, with views. The common areas gave us plenty of space to spread out and work remotely. We also loved playing pool! Our family had a great time here, and we strongly recommend this property!

House was as advertised. Great house and beautiful view. The mountain trails were a favorite right in the backyard. Unfortunately we ended up missing one of the events we really wanted to do and see when visiting due to being parked in. It was very disappointing when the rules were followed specifically to only have our plans crushed at the last minute. The owner did refund our expense for the activity, however we did not get to have the experience we wanted. I would suggest parking in the road to avoid a similar issue to a narrow gated driveway.Also, be aware of the dog poop in the back yard while walking to the trails.

We have stayed at a lot of VRBOs and this one went way beyond our expectations. It was so well-equipped with all the comforts of home. The kitchen had everything imaginable in the way of cookgear, dishes, linens, etc. For grilling, there was a brand new grill on the deck along with a hot tub! There were three couples and we each had a large bedroom with king sized comfortable beds and our own private bathrooms. Great views for deer watching on the mountain, hopping on the trails with an easy access from back yard. Cleanliness A. Proximity to all areas was very convenient. Host responded immediately to any questions. A very great experience!

Property itself and the location (cul-de-sac) both cool. There was lots of room on both floors of the property which has nice hiking trails directly behind it. Relatively quiet minus the property adjoins in certain areas with the front property which is occupied. My fault totally on that for not reading all the reviews. We’re private quiet peeps so yea I’ll leave that there … again the property location is thumbs up and offers nice quirky cool surprises on the interior.

Best rental ever!

We have stayed at many VRBO properties in the past and this home is far and away the best we have experienced. The location is fantastic—nice neighborhood at the base of the mountains. The yard was wonderful for our kids—trampoline, hot tub, and basketball all in top shape. The back yard is connected directly to a hiking/biking trail system. The house is beautifully decorated. Very comfortable. Cozy fireplace. Beautiful views. Plenty of space. Heated floors! Attention to detail was more than we have ever seen. Every need was anticipated and met. Coffees and teas. Toiletries for daily use and for those things you might forget. Instructions and local attractions. We came to NM just to do some hiking. Now we are looking for time to come back just to enjoy this home. Well done!

This beautiful house is located at the foothills open space & is convenient for hiking, running or cycling. Trails are just outside of backyard. Kitchen is fully equipped for cooking meals, beds are comfortable and neighborhood is quiet.
