Private Cottage with Fireplace and Hottub

Lakeside Cabin is located in Columbia Woodlands, a 400-acre retreat in Columbia, Ohio. Our cabins are high-end, luxury vacation cabins, featuring many fine furnishings and amenities.

Lakeside Cabin, beautifully handcrafted by local artisans, is a 2-bedroom rustic log cabin, featuring knotty pine paneling along with beautifully crafted log furniture for guests who can appreciate the rustic beauty of natural wood.

An open floor plan consisting of the living room, kitchen, and dining area allows guests to freely interact with each other while enjoying the wood fireplace and state-of-the-art entertainment center.

The kitchen features a stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, and ice machine. There is an under-the-counter refrigerator, so guests may want to bring a cooler for drinks. Leather cushioned stools with rustic wood frame are arranged around the marble counter for dining.

The first floor bedroom features a plush queen-sized bed with wooden log frame. The master loft bedroom has a plush king-sized bed with log frame. All linens and bedding are provided, along with deluxe bathrobes.

An exquisite bathroom features Italian Carrara marble, including a tiled shower with glass door and dual sink vanity. The multi-head shower system ensures an invigorating shower. Plush towels are provided.

Enjoy the enchanting views of the surrounding woods while soaking in the outdoor 4-person hot tub. In the evening, gather around the fire pit stocked with wood to roast marshmallows or enjoy a cozy fire while listening to the sounds of nature. A gas grill is available for barbecues.

Entertainment Center: Flat screen TV mounted above fireplace with Dish TV, outdoor audio zones powered by Control-4, and WiFi.

Columbia Woodlands offers hiking trails, canoeing and fishing on Many Springs Lake, and wildlife viewing. (Fishing is catch-and-release). Weather permitting, a golf cart is available for guest use to explore Columbia Woodlands. We are located near north Dover, only a short distance to Ohio's Amish Country.

Simply perfect

What a beautiful property. As soon as we pulled up we were stunned. Upon opening the door, right away you could see that so much thought was given to every detail. We loved having our own golf cart to ride around the property. Ceremony Hill was one of the highlights of our stay. What a surprise to find wine and snacks waiting for you in such a peaceful setting. We had such a fabulous time we immediately booked another stay for the fall! You will not be disappointed! Also, all the hiking trails are relaxing and beautiful!

This property went above and beyond our expectations!

The cabin, the amenities, and the resort went above and beyond our expectations!!! The cabin was immaculate and the eye for detail and comfort was beyond our expectations. We were amazed by the thoughtfulness of the owners and managers for some of the simplest of things, such as the practicality of kitchen utensils, but at the same they went above and beyond the "practical" by preparing the outdoor fire ring (daily!) and the interior fireplace with firewood and fat wood/lighter pine for starting a cozy fire. As was the comfort of the furnishings and the beautifully decorated cabin. The forest around us was surreal and peaceful and the opportunity to stop and sit and sip with THE most amazing views and comforts in a resort were truly indescribable. The pictures provided don't come close to the amazing reality of Columbia Woodlands Resort or the Lakeside Cabin. I will be recommending this venue to all my family and friends and we hope to return for an experience all the more special.

Weekend Home Getaway

This cabin was absolutely wonderful and a great weekend stay for me and my girlfriends the weekend of my wedding. Everyone who has seen it has commented on it and those who came over continue to rave about it! It allowed for relaxation, but also for a good time with all the commodities (hot tub, televisions, bonfire, hammock, pond). Everything was incredibly clean and the beds were incredibly comfortable that we definitely struggled getting out of bed in the mornings. It's also not far from some good restaurants, amish country, the mall, etc - so you're still secluded and private but not too far away from civilization! The only thing I would keep in mind is that the fridge is not large so a larger family looking to stay an extended time (or a couple staying in for the weekend) would want to look into the larger cabin (depending on food needed). And the parking is limited and really only fits 2 cars comfortably - 3 cars when maneuvering. Overall this was an amazing cabin and I would absolutely rent it again and recommend it to everyone.

The Best of Nature, Relaxation and Hospitality

Columbia Woodlands is an amazing paradise of beautiful nature, wildlife, peace, and relaxation. It offers the ABSOLUTE BEST of luxury accommodations and customer service. The staff went out of their way to make our visit perfect! We stayed in the Lakeside cabin. The cabin was luxurious, cozy, and comfortable. It was absolutely stunning. No detail was overlooked. We loved exploring the area on the walking trails and on the golf cart. Plans are already in the works to return!

We travel all over the world and this place is amazing! It’s nestled on a beautiful property with a beautiful cabin. The owners really have put love and detail into the cabin and property. We brought our 10 year old son and he loved it just as much! It’s quiet and the perfect getaway.

Hidden Gem in the Woods! Attention to details, private yet luxurious,

We enjoyed a wonderful long weekend in the woods. We loved the rustic elegance and the thought to detail. We have been to a lot of places across the states and here they have thought of everything. Very impressive. Chef Cameron went above and beyond preparing dinner Friday night. Thank you, having many food sensitivities eating away from home can be a challenge and you aced it! Thank you Britney for the quick responses to my emails. We truly enjoyed our stay. We will defiantly be back when the weather is nicer to explore the beautiful grounds, fire pits, & overlooks.

Luxurious outdoor experience!

I am almost reluctant to share our experience publicly as I want this to remain the hidden gem it is so we won't have challenges reserving accommodations again! We stayed in LIttle Fawn and it was cozy, lovely, serene, spectacularly decorated, full of wonderful amenities and special treats upon arrival. Jason and Raven were very hospitable, kind, genuine and caring. They treated us as if we were staying at their home. We had the distinct pleasure of meeting the owner Lois. She probably thought we were stalkers as we drilled with her questions as to her vision for such a fabulous place. The grounds, trails, ponds, resting areas and The Pavilion are spectacular! Not a detail is missed anywhere on the property. We felt very special and could not stop ooohing and ahhing around every corner of the property. Words really cannot do justice to the "experience" we had at Columbia Woodlands. You will just have to see if for yourself! We will be back many times!

Magical Get-away

The weekend was a time for us women to have a little get away from our everyday busy lives. We arrived through the white gates to the property and to our cabin that had a bottle of wine, cheese and crackers and an amazing atmosphere to welcome us. It was truly magical. They thought of everything when they built this property and cabins. The little things, like the pillows, blankets, music on the deck or even at the fire pit was so nice to enjoy. We learned quickly after we arrived and went to make dinner there was no propane in the grill and the outdoor lights were not working. We were able to get the lights working but we sent texts to our main contact and they were so quick to respond and get us propane and check the lights. We also had the golf cart that we took out to see the property and just enjoy. We saw wild turkeys, lakes, and even views of the mountains. It was beautiful! We never had to leave the property because we felt like it was an oasis. One day we even packed a picnic and took t down to one of there nooks. The nook had a picnic table, chairs, fire pit, and even blankets. It was amazing. I highly recommend this place to others wanting to get away from the huddle and busstle of the everyday life.

Beautiful and Amazing! Hard to believe it's in Ohio

There are not enough available word to write a true honest complete review. Honestly to good to want to share, my husband, our son and I spent Christmas here. During the hardest trials of our life and losing my mom I did not think there was a place on earth that could make our Christmas even bearable. It was our first Christmas without her, having just lost her and our first Christmas without family. We were really just looking for anyplace to be besides home alone with memories. I could go on about the beauty of the cabin, grounds, every single detail of this property. It's hard to believe it's in Ohio. I would drive or fly days to visit this place if necessary. We have traveled around the world and this this cabin, property, the people that run it. Are absolutely the most beautiful, magical, amazing place that we have ever been. There truly is something amazing about this property and everyone who works there. The cabins, the pictures don't even do them justice if that's possible. They are the most beautiful, clean and spotless are not even the word. You really feel like no one else has stayed there or been there but you. They think of every single detail to make your stay here memorable. Not that the cabins need anything more, they are stunning. Nothing like them anywhere. But then they decorate them, leave treats for you, chocolates on your pillows, they cut the wood for you and put it by your fireplace, everything you need and so much more then you can dream of. And if the cabin was not amazing enough alone, the grounds! They give you a golf cart and they have all these hidden special places you can stop, sit by the fire, there are half open little beautiful cabins through the woods that you can stop sit, look at the views, they leave little notes for you along the way. Bottles of wine for you to try at one of your stops you find. Like I said there are not enough available words to describe every single detail they put into their entire property. You could spend weeks here and never get bored. We stayed over Christmas, we were just trying to make it through and wanted it to be over. They changed that for us the moment we arrived. It was the first time we smiled or laughed since I lost my mom. We forgot what that felt like. What we thought would be a unbareable Christmas,more then what we already had faced.Turned out to be one of our most cherished memories. Jason and Olivia took beyond great care of us. Relaxing weekend

Had a wonderful weekend at this beautiful property. So relaxing and quiet! We loved the dock that we could fish off of and the canoe that you can take around the lake. The cabin itself was gorgeous and had all of the up to date technology. We cannot wait to book our next stay!
