The best!!

Loved the look and the location. I stayed on the sofa bed, so waking up to that view was a highlight each morning. It was also pretty comfy. My mates said both beds were also comfortable, I enjoy walking so I walked to Scenic World, little coffee shop near by, I had every thing I needed and would stay again.

Amazing view, even better than the photos. Worth noting that slip on shoes are handy as they aren't allowed in the house also the town is a 20-30 minute walk away. Really enjoyed our stay.

Convenient spot in Katoomba

We enjoyed the place overall. The location and view were great and the space was fine for our family of 4. One suggestion would be to turn the heat on earlier when guests are coming as it got quite nice and toasty in the house, but it took a couple hours where we were cold.

Homely, great location, lovely garden and view

It was homely - not modern, but quite liveable. There are 2 other rooms above Sterling Manor with other guests and you can hear them moving around and hear their voices if they're speaking loudly, but this is an old style house - so it's to be expected. The 2 bedrooms at Sterling Manor were large with couches in both rooms. Location is excellent with an easy 5 min stroll to the Echo Point lookout. Views from the sun room of Sterling Manor were excellent. Lovely garden. I would come back here again as you'd pay twice to get that view and to be in that location.

Our wonderful stay at Sterling Lodge

I booked one night at Sterling Manor as a surprise for my mother, as her mother (my grandmother) had worked for Richard Sterling for 3 years as his secretary when he wrote the Horoscope column for the Australian Women’s Weekly magazine. I thought mum would enjoy being in the home her mother worked in all those years ago, and as it turned out both she and I had a wonderful stay here. Dalia was even kind enough to offer us a complimentary 2nd nights’ accommodation so we could enjoy the beautiful gardens and peaceful atmosphere longer. Dalia was a wonderful host, and the house was very comfortable and clean, and had a wonderful energy about it. We could certainly feel Richard’s vibration there and in his glorious terraced zodiac garden which was so peaceful. The view of the Blue Mountains from here is breath taking and the sound of birds just added to the serene experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and are happy to give this property the highest accolades. #Dalia’s blue mountain retreat

Sterling Manor katoomba

Our stay in Sterling Manor was a world class experience. A very spacious and comfortable apartment with special touches that makes it feel like your home but away. The cosy sun room at the front of the property is the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee taking in the panoramic views of the majestic Jamison valley. A walk through the gardens leaves you with a fresh mind to start the day. Five minutes walk to the three sisters n cafes. Dalia our host is most gracious and welcoming leaving us a nice bottle of wine some chockies on our bed and beautiful fresh flowers in our bedroom along with a welcoming post card. We’ve stayed at many properties up here over 30yrs and must say sterling manor rises above most we have stayed at. It is also very affordable compared to others. The view alone talks for itself. Thankyou Dalia for sharing this beautiful part of the world with us. We will be back

Terrible communication

Location and property was lovely however the rest of the expensive was not as listed or expected. Clearly states self check-in however when we arrived, the property owner was sunbathing on the terrace waiting for us to arrive. The “private terrace” that’s advertised is actually shared with other occupants so you have absolutely no privacy. The owner demanded more for “another guest” however we had already informed them that was had 3 guests staying, not 2, and we were told that would not be any problem at all, but clearly was a problem that we then had to pay extra money for. Then to top it off, the morning whilst we were sitting outside in pyjamas, the owner let herself into our gated access with a gardener that we had absolutely no idea would be coming. The view was exceptional, however I would not stay again. I think they need better management for the property.

My happy place has always been in nature and the Blue Mountains offer the perfect environment to retreat to. Having lived in busy Bondi and Maroubra Beach for many years, purchasing this amazing property in Katoomba for a more relaxed lifestyle in April 2017 was the perfect tree change. I now delight in sharing this beautiful property with my guests and enjoy welcoming people from around the world.

Why they chose this property

I've enjoyed coming up to the blue mountains on weekends to bushwalk for many years and have rented houses. When this iconic house with it's spectacular view, beautiful gardens and location came onto the market I knew I had to buy it. The energy on this property is quite amazing. It will leave uplifted and wanting to return for more.

What makes this property unique

* The best escarpment view in the valley.
* 300 metres to the famous 3 Sisters and 5 major bushwalks.
* Iconic home previous owned by the famous Australian Astrologer Author and pianist Richard Sterling who created the most amazing astrological signposted garden in Australia. Guests are able to wander through this unique terraced garden and discover their star sign within the "other worldly gardens".
* Guests often mention the ambience and peaceful energy on the property.
* Dramatic colourful sunrise.
* This perfect location helps time poor explorers see more in one day.
