OWNERS ARE THREE BROTHERS FROM TEXAS WHO VACATIONED IN THIS AREA AS KIDS AND YOUNG ADULTS. DALLAS AREA. ONE IS A MECHANIC, ONE IS A PARALEGAL/INVESTIGATOR AND ONE IS AN ATTORNEY/FORMER DALLAS COUNTY COMMISSIONER

Why they chose this property

PICKED THIS PROPERTY TO BUY WHEN IT WAS VACANT AND DESIGNED AND HAD JIM BARNA LOG HOMES BUILD THIS STRUCTURE. IT IS BUILT INTO THE MOUNTAIN. THE NORTH AND WEST WALLS ARE CONCRETE AND THUS THE FIRST FLOOR IS ALWAYS COOL. WHEN MANY BUILDERS LOOKED AT THIS PROPERTY AFTER WE BOUGHT IT THEY TOLD US THE FIRST THING TO DO IS SELL IT BECAUSE IT IS TOO HIGH AND STEEP TO BUILD ON. WE HAD TO BLAST OUR DRIVEWAY IN. YOU BE THE JUDGE.

THIS IS A COMPLETELY LOG STRUCTURE EXCEPT FOR THE FIRST FLOOR AND THE VIEWS ARE AMAZING OFF OF THE DECKS. WHILE THE BOTTOM OF THE MOUNTAIN IS QUITE POPULATED NOW, UP WHERE WE ARE IS STILL COMPARATIVELY MUCH LESS POPULATED. WE WANTED A LOG CABIN IN THE MOUNTAINS AND WE BELIEVE WE ACHIEVED IT. BUT, YOU DECIDE.
