The host communication with me was attentive and gracious. There were issues with bedding and sheets and the bathroom towels. I traveled with my husband and 2 handicap adults. To me cleanliness is imperative. I communicated with the host and she was very apologetic and offered to refund or send the cleaning crew. After experiencing the issues above I had no desire to stay. She went ahead and refunded the money. I’m very thankful for her willingness to do that.

Restful, but a bit inconvenient.

The location of the house was very convenient, and there is plenty of room for families or groups up to 8. We enjoyed our five weeks there except for a few inconveniences. There was a minor ant problem which was rectified. Leaky bathroom and kitchen faucets needed repair or replacement. In general, issues were dealt with very quickly, but should have been fixed prior to our arrival. Overall, the house is in need of a major up-date. Walls need minor repairs, and paint. Kitchen cupboards and bathroom vanities are old and worn. Carpets are stained and in need of a professional cleaning. Living room furniture is uncomfortable, broken and needs to be replaced. Appliances are usable, but not fully functional. The stove, range hood, ice maker, and water dispenser were all reported as needing repair, but no one ever came to take care of them. The screen around the pool is torn, or pulled away from the frame in a number of places, allowing small critters and debris in which needs to be skimmed almost every day. On the plus side, the beds are comfortable, and the water pressure is great. Neighborhood is quiet and peaceful.

Hi Jim, We were quite surprised to read the review. The faucets were replaced immediately upon your report to us and could not have been done any earlier as prior guests that departed on the same day as your arrival had not reported any issues. You did contact us daily, with minor issues such as an ant found in the kitchen , however we did send maintenance out to the property on each occasion at a cost to both ourselves and the home owner. This property is listed at $110 a night for a 4 bedroom lake view pool home which accomodates up to 8 people. This is a budget style vacation property and cupboards and bathroom vanity are not ultra modern, however fully functional. The living room furniture is less than 12 months old and although reported you had a problem with one the recliners, the cleaner reported no issue after your departure and returned it to the upright position. The Stove range hood, as explained to you on the telephone was just a case of realigning the prongs as they are removed for cleaning. We do not recommend any of our guests drink water from the refrigerator dispenser and therefore do not advertise the home as having this. Finally the pool screen was a simple case of tucking the screen back into the frame and is a common occurrence when windy. We are pleased that overall you had a restful 5 weeks vacation with us and enjoyed your stay in the sunshine state.

Perfect home but for 2 things - 1. we were given two different codes for the lockbox which we couldn't see on arrival at night because the outside light was off so it was confusing to try and get the key. 2 - we couldn't get the internet to work because the code on the router did not work and the owner did not respond to our query about this. Apart from that it was perfect.

We had a wonderful time in the house, and our kids loved the pool. There is everything you need for your stay, but I think the kitchen tools need a little update ( knifes need to be sharpened, a cutting board, and some extra bowls+ we could only turn on the heat on 2 out of 4 on the stoke) That would have made it easier to cook in the house, but it’s a small thing and overall the place is great. We would recommend it to others☀️

This family of 6 had a wonderful time in your home! This is our 5th year renting through VRBO and have never been disappointed. Pretty nice area for getting around to all the attractions. I might suggest fixing your stove top so it all works and getting some more dishes. 😉 I enjoy cooking and it was near impossible with what you had. And the house was incredibly hot! We didn’t want to pay even more to have AC on, so we suffered. We’ve never had to pay extra to have a cooler house, so that was interesting. Thank you for opening your home to us! We had another vacation we will never forget!
