☆NOTE: Age of primary renter must be 25 years or over.
Though the beds are comfy, you might want to get up early anyway to view the magical display of the ever-changing, ethereal mist as it appears to rise from out of the mountains.
While rocking on the large front porch, enjoy majestic sunsets as the fireflies dance into the summer night. Roast marshmallows and tell ghost stories by the fire pit. The autumn foliage is also breathtaking.
Cabin is well-kept and cozy. Exceptional detail is paid to cleanliness, thanks to our phenomenal housekeeper.
We're located near the top of the mountain with amazing views, >800 sq feet, 2 bed/2 bath + a comfortable queen pullout couch. 2 children max, total of 4 people allowed. Queen beds in both bedrooms. Extra blankets, pillows and throws provided.
The open-concept living area has 15 ft- high cedar ceilings, hardwood floors, a gas fireplace (fall & winter), books, board games, puzzles and brochures.
Central heat/AC. Exceptionally equipped kitchen. Spices, flour, sugar & salt for bakers, coffee maker, filters, crockpot, Brita water filter, dishwasher, dishes, pots & pans, cast iron skillet and dutch oven, electric mixer + bakeware!
Front porch extends the width of the cabin with 4 rocking chairs. Gas BBQ, bought 8/2023. Camp chairs provided for firepit.
Some nearby activities and points of interest are the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, John Campbell Folk School, Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest, Lake Santeetlah, Lake Hiawassee, The Biltmore, Saturday Morning Market in downtown Murphy and the Smoky Mountain Railroad.
Enjoy hiking, biking, zip lining, boating and swimming in the beautiful blue-green lakes nearby, white-water rafting, tubing, gem-mining, golfing, horseback riding, fishing, shopping, summer and fall festivals, even winter skiing and snow tubing at ski resorts about 1 hour away.
The Murphy area offers some of the best trout, bass, walleye and striper fishing in the southeast. Excellent trout fishing can be found in the Valley River only 2.5 miles from the cabin.
The area is renowned for its fall foliage. The cabin will accommodate couples or small families.

Really enjoyed the property. Beautiful area, close to everything. Our only issue was the wifi, it dropped out almost every night and some days. Would not work for someone trying to work.

Very nice and peaceful place to spend some time. Hosts are on top of things so no hassles or worries. Spent a week there, never slept better! Only thing is, it is on the top of the mountain ( views are breathtaking) so you better have a vehicle that can make it up and down.

This was a very nice cabin with an incredible view. Peaceful. However getting to it was an adventure. Google Maps was great and if you follow it you will find it easier than the directions. The directions were confusing. My daughter and I had a great visit in the little mountain cabin. The host was amazing and always responded quickly. Thank you for the adventure

We had a wonderful mountain top experience at Dinah's cabin. The cabin is just as pictured. The kitchen was well stocked with all your basic needs and the bathrooms, including the showers, were clean. The beds were comfortable. We used the washer/dryer a few times - small stackable unit, but on vacation I don't want to do a lot of laundry. The view from the cabin was beautiful. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching the sunrise and sunset. The sounds of the birds and wind in the trees were peaceful. Nice option to have the grill. We did use it one night and it worked perfectly. Dinah was a great host! She communicated very quickly and was very accommodating. I will say the drive up to the cabin is steep, but once you make the trek a couple times, it does get easier. We did not have a four-wheel drive and it was not a problem. Thank you so much for a great vacation!

Our Host was excellent. They went out of their way to make sure my and my wife’s stay was an enjoyable one. Would gladly stay at this cabin again. Awesome view of mountains as really quiet. Hosts knew it was our 35 wedding anniversary so they had a small surprise on the table when we arrived. They had an anniversary card and herseys kisses in the shape of a heart. I highly recommend these hosts. Awesome people

Having moved to Florida from NJ, we then came "halfway back" to buy this cabin in NC. We missed the change of seasons, wanted to escape the Florida heat, and "unplug". We are the original owners and take pride in keeping our slice of heaven in good shape. Family owned and loved, we manage it ourselves, not by some corporate property management company. We are quick to respond to your questions, and also happy provide helpful info on restaurants and local attractions.

Why they chose this property

We live full time in Florida, so we bought this cabin to enjoy the magnificent scenery, the change of seasons, and the wonderful "small-town" feel and friendliness that abounds here. We have made many great family memories here - it's my granddaughter's "favorite place in the whole world".

What makes this property unique

The views are stunning- we often stay home to eat instead of going out, enjoying leisurely cooking, or grilling out in the mountain air. Folks would pay big bucks for such a restaurant seat, and we have it right here! The cabin is situated among several others on the mountain, spaced appropriately apart, so that you have privacy, but yet do not feel completely cut off from civilization.
