This small well-lit apartment fits 2 comfortably, but adding a third is fine and ideal for a family of 3. It offers a queen, and the twin is partially separated by a wall. It is a 5 minute walk to 155 miles of Boulder's best trails. You can climb Bear Peak from the house, or wander to a neighborhood lake for flat walking. It is 1 1/2 mile to excellent award winning restaurants, coffee, a mountaineer shop, and a large grocery store with organic or ordinary products. In the winter, Eldora Ski Resort is 50 minutes away. They have a wonderful ski school. This unit is in a quiet residential cul-de-sac and is attached to my house, with a private entrance. I am usually available for hiking, skiing, restaurant, cultural event or shopping guidance. New washer and dryer added in 2024. This is a non-smoking property. There is not a good smoking place as this is a residential neighborhood.

My husband and I enjoyed our long weekend stay here. Our host was very helpful and had everything ready for us when we arrived. The location is wonderful. Tucked back into a nice neighborhood and walking distance to beautiful trails. We will absolutely book here again in the future!
Location was great! Close to several hikes across both the plains and foothills. NCAR served as a great launching point for multiple hikes and was ~1 mile from the home. Grocery store was also close. Easy drive to and from downtown Boulder as well!
Amy was a wonderful and helpful host. We enjoyed a long weekend in her apt. Very convenient to use the bus to get around Boulder. Apt was very well appointed; had everything we needed. It was quiet and relaxing. Will definitely stay there in the future as we come to Boulder a few times per year.
Everything about our stay was great. Check-in super easy. The apartment was large and clean. It has a comfy bed, shower with good temperature/pressure, a full size kitchen, washer/dryer. Plus, books and maps on all the nearby hikes, including several just minutes from your door. It is a short drive (15 minutes) or bus ride into downtown Boulder. Grocery store and restaurants nearby too so no need to head into downtown if exhausted from hiking. Great communication with our host. Would recommend to anyone heading to Boulder. Thanks!
The property was clean, quiet, uncluttered, and well organized. It is in a beautiful neighborhood and near hiking trails. The kitchen appliances were clean and worked well. I did holiday baking and was impressed by the quality of the cookware and that my host even provided parchment paper! My host was friendly and welcoming but not intrusive. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and hope to visit again.
Loved the rental, owner, yard, location, neighborhood, nearby hiking trail, and most all the rental's cleanliness. The owner was so nice and accommodating. I can't imagine staying anywhere else that would stack up to this. I highly recommend this rental, but let us get our days first. Haha!
Comfortable Complete Boulder South Rental in Nice Neighborhood
Location neighborhood very nice. Kitchenette was convenient. Couch, appliances and storage are ample. Room lighting could be a bit less brilliant with right LED. Very clean. Small 3 step access to bathroom somewhat inconvenient to navigate. 2nd bathroom door does not evoke privacy. Additional bathroom towel sets would be more accommodating. Boulder streetlight could have a scrim baffle installed by city to shade streetlight from front facade and window of rental. Room darkening window blinds would keep morning light out. Bedding mattress frame is noisy. TV monitor in an awkward spot. Front door security lock Code takes some repetition to get it to function. Parking along cul de sac limited.
I found the property very nice and the host especially considerate. I would give the property more of a 4.5 for a couple of reasons.
My mistake was not looking to see what the laundry situation was. It's not. Coin Laundry is what they tag. Fortunately, I was visiting my mom who has laundry in her apartment.
The second issue is the bathroom. The bathroom itself is appropriately cozy and well appointed like the rest of the unit; however, it adjoins with what I image is the main house kitchen as a jack-n-jill. This means only a single door separates my privacy from their home. I could here them batting about and they actually put a request for tenants not to talk on our phones while in the bathroom - and nicely suggesting that's all they really hear. So, I felt very self-conscious while using the bathroom.
The third issue is the coded door and lock situation. All was good; however, there was no way for me to deadbolt the door from the inside, or from anyone that may have the code and the lock on the aforementioned bathroom door was on my side but a simple bobby-pin could unlock it from the other main house side. So, I also felt uncomfortable at night. I would like to say they change the code with every tenant, but I suspect this is not the case.
I gave it a 5 instead of a 4 because the system doesn't have a 4.5 option and the unit as a whole was very nice and again the host, Amy, was responsive and considerate.
We needed to stay in Boulder for a few weeks while overseeing work on another property. We recognized that this duration was longer than normal for most VRBO stays, but Amy was great in offering her support to us throughout. She was engaged in ensuring our well being and made sure we had what we needed (supplies and information) throughout our stay. This unit is ideal for a couple, with most of your shopping/dining needs available at nearby Table Mesa center. We hiked, dined and visited local landmarks (specifically NCAR) during this stay, all very close. The unit's bathroom is the point of connection to the rest of the host's home, and there is some communication of sound between the two through the common door. We were conscious of this and tried to be respectful of our noise level from that room. While there, the owner wired and plumbed in connections for a washer and dryer. This will be value added in the future to this already great place to stay.
My husband and 2 dogs stayed for a little mountain getaway and to run Bolder Boulder. Tons of great trails to take dogs on near the property. Short drive into downtown. Very comfortable place to stay.
Amy was a wonderful host! We loved her quaint dwelling that was packed with everything we needed. Very responsive and a beautiful location so close to the flatirons and CU Zboulder. Thank you Amy!
A cute home from home. Walk out of your front door to the views of the beautiful front range. Nice comfortable studio type apartment, great stay for 2 adults in South Boulder.
We loved the property and our stay. Very central to everything we were there for (Ft. Collins, Boulder, Denver, hiking.
Close to skiing, but there was no snow...climate change.
Out host was lovely, and We surely will return.
This was our second time using VRBO, and the experience is a 10!!
The home was walking distance to hiking trails. It was a short drive 10 min to the heart of town. In addition it was close a short drive to eldorado canyon and the flat irons . The apartmen/ had all you need and the yard was beautiful. Amy was helpful and a fabulous host. I would book again.
We were in town to explore the area and do some hiking. Devil's Thumb - Rolling Hill was perfect for both. It's in a quiet residential neighborhood and only a short walk to a trailhead that links to many trails that lead to beautiful views. In the evening, it's a very short drive to downtown Boulder. Be sure to visit the nearby South Side Walnut Cafe for breakfast.

What makes this property unique
This S. Boulder Table Mesa/Rolling Hills location is in a neighborhood built in the 1960s and 70s. The architecture is not amazing, but the trails and the local shopping center is. It is close to NCAR, the National Center for Atmospheric Research, which was one of I. M. Pei's first designs. The neighborhood is quiet, residential and secured.
