Family-friendly, stylish Chicago Apartment in Logan Square

Welcome to Hamlin House! The living area has beautifully restored hardwood floors and the bathroom was completely renovated in 2019. The unit sleeps seven if people are willing to share two doubles, one queen, and one twin. We've lived in the area for 10 years and are always around to answer any questions and help you navigate the neighborhood. We want you to feel at home in Logan Square! The unit comes equipped with a full kitchen and enough serveware for entertaining. Perfect for families, friends, short or extended stays.

Our love for travel, vintage furniture, and art means that many of the pieces we've selected to furnish Hamlin House are rich in history and character. This includes a cast-iron lion poster bed, tons of mature plants, and vintage furniture and decor. The kitchen comes stocked with a coffee station, olive oil, salt, pepper, various spices for cooking, and more. There is a smart TV which you can login to all of your favorite streaming networks.

It had everything we needed. The host, Daniel, was able to exceed our specific needs when requested. Parking was relatively easy and the Mexican restaurant at the end of the block was fantastic and recommended by Daniel. Overall, a great experience. Central Air worked great and the style was well appointed. A dishwasher would be nice, but not a deal breaker.

We liked that the place was as listed. We enjoyed that the place was well-decorated and it had a stocked kitchen. It was easy to find the place and the lock system was easy to use as well. We also appreciated towels being provided and liked the location as it was close to a bus stop that we used everyday.While we’re glad parking was free, it was hard to find a spot in front of the house and on the same street. After originally parking a street over, we ended up finding a spot in front of the house the next morning. (Not the owners fault but I think you’d all like to know!) The house is old and creaky so be mindful when booking as they do have quiet hours. The stairs could be troubling for some folks especially with carrying up large luggage. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would book again

Elizabeth: A native of Michigan, I moved to Chicago for college and never left. Having lived and worked in dozens of neighborhoods, I know the city better than most natives so I'm happy to help direct you to exactly what will be fun for your group ;). As a small business owner, I love supporting local businesses and Logan Square has no shortage of those!

Together: We LOVE to travel, eat, explore and meet new people. Hosting and entertaining is one of our favorite things to do and made renting our space to fellow travelers very appealing. Our goal is to create an experience that we would love and share that with our guests.

Why they chose this property

We recently bought in one of the most vibrant neighborhoods in the city, Logan Square, and are excited to share recommendations with our visitors. It is a classic Chicago 2 flat that we remodeled to make more contemporary while still retaining the vintage charm. We have a thing for finding unique and vintage pieces and love incorporating them into our interior design.

What makes this property unique

The entire second-floor apartment is all yours during your stay. There are two entrances to the apartment, the front door, and the back side door. You can also utilize the back yard and patio, though we do live in the unit below so you may see us around and using the back yard as well! :) We do have a washer and dryer on-site, so if you book an extended stay, we can certainly arrange access to the laundry room.
