Two bedroom apartment located in Tavira Garden, an elegant residential-holiday complex near the historic town of Tavira. Tavira Garden is a group of buildings in Moorish style set in mature landscaped gardens. The facilities include 2 large pools with adjoining children's pools, children's play area, tennis court, well equipped gym, and picnic area with BBQs. There is a restaurant with indoor and outdoor dining offering good value meals. In addition to the private wifi in the apartment, there is free wifi In the area of the main pool and restaurant. There is ample free car parking. Tavira Garden is situated close to little Tavira, a charming historic town and working fishing port. Set on both banks of the tidal River Gilão and connected by a Roman foot bridge, Tavira will lead you along its cobbled streets passed its tile covered houses, to its many beautiful churches and its hill top castle. From the lovely town square by the river you can easily stroll to one of the many delightful cafes or restaurants.

Lovely relaxing home from home

Fantastic huge apartment on lovely complex with pool and snack bar . Everything needed was there. Supermarket 5 mins walk. Taxis very cheap to surrounding areas. Def recommend esp if you rent a car too. Thanks again for everything.

Great stay

We all had a brilliant week . Accommodation is exactly as described.. We all enjoyed the pool. Recommend hiring bikes or car as apartment is a half hour walk from centre of town. Shop is just a few hundred metres down the road. Great fish market in centre of town. Tavira beach is gorgeous and has natural shade! We all hired bikes for a few days and went both ways along cycle track and highly recommend. The only negative would be the busy road outside the apartment . Sometimes a bit stressful with kids. All sad to be leaving ..

Great apartment and excellent hosts

Great spacious apartment. Owner was available by email and there was someone on site to meet us. Well equipped. Easy to access. Good terrace and roof terrace. Pool was a great size and sun loungers available. Used on site restaurant on night of arrival and food and drink was good and very reasonable. Walked into Tavira and back most nights for restaurants and travelled to Loule by train and bus and to Ayamonte by train and ferry from Porta Nova train station which is about a 15 minute walk. One big supermarket shop with plenty of water and a taxi back meant we didn’t have to carry much up the stairs although the stairwell is well ventilated and we managed them without any problems. Will hopefully use again. Host very attentive and checked that all was well on our return.

Great location and accommodation- recommended.

John the owner had been in contact throughout the build up with suggestions and guidance which prepared us nicely. The apartment was comfortable and spacious for 4 people family- 2 bedrooms. The air con was a welcome relief in the July heat and kept things cool. The apartment was remarkably well equipped with all kitchen utensils and even beach equipment for the kids! Clean, quiet, wifi, and multiple tv channels w/ netflix. The terrace gets early sun, but is nice to sit out in evening for moon rise over Atlantic. No complaints at all, but if you are greatly out of shape or impaired, the 3 flights of stairs may catch you out- makes for good views if hell with a suitcase! A fairly large supermarket is only 5 minutes walk away for all your grocery needs ( i recommend the deli spare ribs!), with a very large shopping centre within 15 mins walk. Tavira, the local town is 25 mins walk, or 5 mins taxi that are fairly easy to book and around 6 euros a trip. The pool was never crowded, got lots of shaded areas to shelter if you want out the sun, and a small bar/restaurant that serves simple but enjoyable foods and drinks til 11pm. Most other residents were Portuguese or French with occasional Brits. Nice that you felt you were not back in UK, but enough company for a chat or for kids to play with. Beach is a ferry away. Did not understand how this works until arrival. No access to beach by walking, you need to board a regular, cheap ferry from Tavira centre. Faff, but easy to do.

Très bon séjour à Tavira Garden

Logement fidèle à l'annonce et aux photos. Appartement très spacieux; très bien équipé (nous n'avons jamais eu de location aussi bien fournie en appareils électroménagers/ustensiles de cuisine....). Propriétaire très disponible, très chaleureux et réactif. Explications très claires. Piscines de la résidence très agréables, grandes&avec des transats toujours disponibles quels que soient les moments de la journée. Personnel du restaurant très sympathique (et parlant français).

Relaxing in tavira

We have just spent a wonderful two weeks in tavira gardens. Lovely spacious apartment, really well equipped . the pool area is what I call civilised, plenty of umbrellas and sun lounges available all day, really pleasant chilled vibe. We played tennis in the evenings once it had cooled down. Tavira is full of interesting places to eat. There was live music on in the central square in the evenings which kept our teens amused. Really charming old streets to wander around.excellent place to holiday. We hope to return

Great apartment in Tavira

Enjoyed our two weeks in Tavira. Apartment was located within a 25 minute walk to the center of Tavira, was well appointed with everything we needed. Our host John offered helpful information prior to arriving (driving instruction, suggested restaurants, events etc.) which made being a newcomer to Tavira very easy. Bed was comfortable and living area spaceous and we really enjoyed having an outside patio which was private and where we ate some of our meals. The apartment is on the top floor and does not have a lift so luggage has to be carried up and down about 50 steps. If someone has mobility issues this may not be the unit for your needs. Thanks to John and Viktorya (who met us) for making our stay a pleasant one.

Clean and bright apartment - perfect for family holiday Easy airport transfer & charming town.

Apartment was spacious and had everything we needed. Supermarket near by and two pool areas in complex - one perfect for two under 3 years. Lovely outdoor space for adults to chill after dinner. Good fans to circulate air and keep us all cool in apartment at night. Plenty of information for places to see / go and very reasonable taxis to ferry departures for beach days. Only drawback was negotiating the stairs to our apartment with the suitcases on arrival but well worth the exercise plus great counting practice for 2 year old. Definitely recommend as lovely unspoilt town and perfectly viable the cope without Car.

As soon as we booked the apartment the owner sent us lots of information about the complex, the local area, travel and various activities. Although we did not arrive until 11.30pm the agent was there to meet us as planned which was very reassuring. The apartment itself was extremely spacious with sufficient room for 5 adults and it was equipped to a high standard - everything you could want in a kitchen, as well as satellite tv and wi-fi. There is a patio area just outside the kitchen and an enormous roof terrace one floor above with fantastic views. The complex and is well maintained, as is the pool area where we never had a problem obtaining sunbeds, even though it was peak season. The nearest supermarket is 200 metres away although it means walking along a cycle track/pathway next to a busy road. There is a large shopping mall a little further away and it takes about 15-20 mins to walk into Tavira town. A car is not essential although we found it much easier to get around after we hired one, especially being able to access some of the beautiful beaches slightly off the beaten track.

Perfect for a relaxing week in the sun

Really lovely top floor apartment (up 4 flights of stairs), with great views down to the sea. Very well equipped and furnished, spotlessly clean when we arrived. Tavira Gardens is very nicely done, with great swimming pools and bar/restaurant but nice and quiet in the evenings. Air conditioning was much appreciated when we were there as it was very hot at night. John (the owner) was super helpful right from when we booked the apartment and sent us a wealth of information before we went and it is all available in the apartment as well. Tavira town and the beaches are really lovely, perfect for a relaxing week in the sun!
