Carole's Cottage is unbelievingly sweet and comfortable. It is very well equipped with everything you need, it is just a two minutes walk away from the 18th century harbour with it's amazing views and nice bars and restaurants. We just loved it there.
Lovely cosy cottage in great location. Had everything we needed and the little welcome gift of wine, milk, Cornish cakes and clotted cream was much appreciated.
Very clean tidy property with all that you need for break away . Property in the heart of the town so once parked you are within easy walking distance of the bars and restaurants .
We spent a lovely week in Charlestown, travelling by train to St Austell and a 5 min taxi. The cottage is perfectly located for the harbour, tucked away from the crowds. Easy walks to local beaches (Duporth our favourite). Cottage was well equipped with good wifi.
We had a great stay at Carole's Cottage - A beautiful little place , well set up and equipped. Carole and Mal were very friendly and obliging. Couldn't ask for better hosts. We recommend their place highly

A Lovely cottage in a brilliant location
A comfortable, cosy cottage in a brilliant location. A lovely courtyard at the rear of the cottage - perfect for sundowners. Carole and Malcolm couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. A cream tea and bottle of wine was especially appreciated.
Would return in a heartbeat.

Fantastic guests. Extremely understanding. Thank you for your review and for your comments in the visitor book. It was our pleasure meeting you all.
A great cottage in a fabulous location. The cottage had everything we needed and a lovely suntrap little garden where we sipped our evening G and T. Goodies left in the fridge were a nice suprise (they didn,t last long!) Spotlessly clean and very comfortable . Just what we needed.
Gorgeous cottage in the centre of Charlestown. With all the amenities to make this a home from home. A beautiful cottage in an excellent location. Will definitely come back.

Met by hosts with a warm welcome and a cream tea which set the tone for an enjoyable stay.
Great location in Charlestown just above the harbour. Enjoyed days on the shingle beach and evenings in the many hospitality outlets.
Would recommend both the excellently equipped property and Charlestown as a holiday location.
A lovely cottage in a good location. It has everything that you would want. Good location (although the noise from the pub kitchen wasn't ideal).
Would certainly consider a return visit.
This is a lovely cottage in a beautiful peaceful spot. Lovely new bathroom- great shower. The garden is sunny and all the equipment you could need is provided. The owners were lovely and left a range of goodies in the fridge plus 2 bunches of fresh flowers.
We just loved this cottage. Our welcome from Carole was warms and we really appreciated the little food gifts. The location of the cottage is perfect, very near the 2 beaches and lots of cafes and restaurants. We had intended visiting lots of places but we actually stayed in Charlestown the whole week. Loved it!

A unique, comfortable, well equipped cottage in a great location.
Carole was excellent at making you feel welcome and that all your needs were met.
We found that the location within Charlestown was perfect. Far enough up to be away from the hubbub of the town and easy walking distance to everything. The cottage has been very nicely designed with modern kitchen and bathroom. Perfect.
This amazing cottage is right in the heart of the village. On arrival we were greeted with a warm smile from the owner who explained all we needed to know.
We love the simple things in life like finding a pint of milk in the fridge along with a cream tea.
Thank you so much Carole for helping us enjoy our holiday
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Lovely cottage, great location

So pleased to read in the visitor book that you enjoyed your stay in spite of the dreadful weather. Thank you Linda and Andrew for the beautiful way that you left the cottage and for this review. I really appreciate it although I do not expect it.
About the host
Hosted by Carole Cleave
We live two miles away in St. Austell and have owned this cottage for 23 years. We rebuilt it with love and care over a long period and tried to retain all its traditional feel. One day we hope to move into it and so we did it up with that in mind rather than as a holiday let. You will find some quirky features which reflect the love we have for the cottage. Our three grown up children all live and work locally. We clean the cottage ourselves and are on hand should there be problems.
Why they chose this property
We own this pair of semi detached cottages. Originally we bought number 24, next door, on impulse after a chance viewing - we were not looking for something to buy. The quiet setting seemed just magical, even though the harbour was just a stone throw away. Guests seem to find it the same. We completely renovated the property over too many years for any economic sense. Many people return year on year. Mona Hurley lived next door in number 23 and we became great friends. She was in her late eighties and had no inside loo. In time we approached her and her landlords and managed to buy her house and on day one put a loo in the back bedroom which delighted her as she "would never need her whatnot again" Mona lived to 94 and we then started another long renovation journey. Enjoy them.
What makes this property unique
It feels just like home.
